The Ecsta V700 (V70A) is Kumho’s Racetrack & Autocross Only radial developed in Europe and imported to the United States. The V700 is attractively priced and designed to be a racing value by delivering great traction and treadwear per dollar.

While Ecsta V700 radials meet DOT requirements, they are not appropriate for highway use. Shaved or worn Ecsta V700 radials are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. And like all Racetrack & Autocross Only tires, Ecsta V700 radials are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. It’s also essential these tires be stored indoors at temperatures maintained above 32 degrees F.

The Ecsta V700 molds Kumho's specially formulated, high-grip silica competition tread compound into a directional design that features wide tread ribs to maximize dry cornering grip while enhancing handling and treadlife. Directional tread notches and circumferential grooves help preserve wet traction when run at full tread depth. Kumho advises that the Ecsta V700 Racetrack & Autocross Only radial must be shaved prior to use in dry conditions.

The tire’s internal structure includes two steel belts reinforced by nylon cap plies to help stabilize the tread area and provide high-speed capability. A symmetric internal construction featuring three plies in the sidewall enhances quick steering response and high-speed stability.

As the tire's outer shoulder tread wears from hard cornering, the Ecsta V700's directional tread design and symmetric internal construction allows worn tires to be remounted "inside-out" on their wheels to prolong their life.

Important Notice: Kumho Ecsta V700 tires must be shaved to 3/32" - 4/32" tread depth for any autocross or track use in dry conditions.

If this tire is not shaved, excessive heat and wear may occur causing the tire compound to blister or wear to the cords prematurely in a localized area.

Tire heat cycling will not prevent the excessive localized wear of full tread depth tires but will continue to enhance tire consistency and wear on shaved tires.

The Ecsta V700 should only be used at full tread depth (6/32") for wet track and wet autocross use.

A pesar que, los radiales Ecsta V700 cumplen con los requisitos del Departamento de Transporte (DOT, por sus siglas en inglés) de Estados Unidos, no son apropiados para uso en autopistas. Si los Ecsta V700 están afeitados o desgastado, no se recomienda sus uso en condiciones mojadas donde exista agua empozada y haya riesgo de deslizamiento (hydroplaning), si estas condiciones existen, los conductores deben reducir la velocidad y manejar con cautela. Y como todo neumático del segmento Solo Para Pista y Autocross, no fue diseñado para ser utilizado en temperaturas cercanas al nivel de congelación o superficies con hielo o nieve. También, es esencial, que al guardarlos, la temperatura debe ser mantenida en los 32 grados Fahrenheit (0 Celsius).

El Ecsta V700 moldea un compuesto de caucho, especialmente formulado con sílice de competencia de gran agarre, en una banda de rodamiento con diseño direccional, la cual, cuenta con segmentos anchos para maximizar el agarre al tomar curvas, al mismo tiempo de, mejorar la maniobrabilidad y el desgaste. La parte superior de la banda es direccional y cuenta con muescas y ranuras circunferenciales que ayudan a preservar tracción sobre superficies secas cuando tienen la profundidad inicial. Kumho aconseja afeitar el radial Ecsta V700 antes de su uso sobre superficies secas.

La estructura interna incluye dos correas de acero reforzadas con capas de nailon, para estabilizar la huella y ofrecer mayor capacidad para su uso a velocidades elevadas. Una respuesta rápida al girar el volante y estabilidad a velocidad elevada, se consigue gracias a la construcción simétrica interna.

A medida que se desgasta el hombro del Ecsta V700, debido a tomar curvas a velocidad, su diseño direccional y la construcción simétrica interna, permite montar nuevamente los neumáticos en el rin con la parte externa en la interna y prolonga, así, la vida útil.

Nota Importante: Para cualquier uso en autocross o pistas en condiciones secas, el Ecsta V700 de Kumho, debe ser afeitado entre 3/32” (2.4mm) y 4/32” (3.2mm) de profundidad.

Si el neumático no es afeitado se puede producir calor y desgaste excesivo, lo que puede causar que el compuesto de caucho le salgan ampollas o se desgaste prematuramente en áreas específicas.

El ciclo de calor no previene el desgaste excesivo, en áreas especificas de neumáticos no afeitados, pero mejora la consistencia y el desgaste en neumáticos afeitados.

El Ecsta V700 debe ser utilizado, en pistas y autocross con superficies mojadas, solamente, cuando la banda de rodamiento tiene una profundidad de 6/32” (4.8mm).
