The Road Venture SAT (SAT for Stylish All-Terrain) is Kumho Tire's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed for pickup, crossover and sport utility vehicle drivers looking for long wear, year-round traction and a comfortable ride. With tread pattern and sidewall styling inspired by the natural shape of a flame, the Road Venture SAT is designed to combine traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including in light snow.
The Road Venture SAT uses a symmetric five-rib tread pattern that features a center rib to enhance straight-line tracking and reduce on-road noise. Intermediate tread blocks feature stone ejector bars and wraparound shoulder blocks are complemented by raised sidewall protector guards to enhance traction in loose surfaces and help shield the tire from off-road contact. Wide circumferential grooves, lateral notches and sipes help evacuate water to reduce the risk of hydroplaning and enhance all-season traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin high-tensile steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon to blend handling with durability. Polyester cord reinforced sidewalls molded into a computer-optimized contour reduce internal tire stresses to increase ride comfort and tire durability while rim flange protectors help shield wheels from off-road debris and accidental curb damage.
The Road Venture SAT On-Off/Road All Terrain tires are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol to identify they meet industry severe snow service standards.
El neumático Road Venture SAT (Stylish All-Terrain) de Kumho pertenece a la categoría: Dentro/Fuera De Carretera Todoterreno para camiones ligeros y fue desarrollado para conductores de vehículos picops, utiliautos (crossover) y utilitarios deportivos, que buscan por un desgaste lento, tracción durante todas las estaciones del año y un andar confortable. El diseño del Road Venture SAT combina tracción sobre superficies secas, mojadas y en condiciones invernales, incluyendo poca nieve. El patrón de la banda de rodamiento y los flancos tienen su inspiración en formas de llamas naturales.
El Road Venture SAT posee una banda de rodamiento simétrica compuesta por 5 segmentos, uno de ellos (el central) que mejora viajar en línea recta y reduce el ruido al contactar la carretera. Bloques intermedios poseen barras expulsoras de piedras bloques o tacos sobre los hombros que se complementan con protectores en el flanco o pared, para así mejorar la tracción sobre superficies sueltas y proteger el neumático durante el contacto todoterreno. Canales anchos circunferenciales, concavidades laterales y pequeñas ranuras ayudan a evacuar el agua y reducir el riesgo de el deslizamiento en agua (hydroplaning), además de mejorar la tracción durante las cuatro estaciones del año.
La estructura interna del neumático incluye correas gemelas de acero resistente a tensiones fuertes, reforzadas por nailon envuelto en espiral, lo que permite combinar maniobrabilidad con durabilidad. Cordones de poliéster refuerzan las flancos que han sido moldeados y optimizados por computadora, para reducir el estrés interno y así mejorar el confort y la durabilidad del neumático. Rebordes en los flancos protegen al rin del daño de las aceras y los escombros de las vías campo traviesa.
