The Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP is Michelin's Performance Winter / Snow run-flat tire developed to meet the needs of driving enthusiasts by combining dry road performance, foul weather traction and cold-weather conditions. The Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP also offers temporary extended mobility (up to 50 miles at 50 mph) in the event a puncture results in complete tire pressure loss
The Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP molds a tread rubber compound that remains flexible at lower temperatures for greater grip, into a high-contact tread design. The tread blocks feature Michelin's "Bi-Directional Sipes System" technology that enhances performance on wet, snow-packed and icy roads. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by Michelin's size-optimized BAZ technology where nylon cord is Banded At Zero degrees to the direction of travel. Sidewall reinforcements using low hysteresis rubber provide self-supporting strength that combats sidewall damage to allow temporary zero-pressure driving. A special bead design helps tires stay securely seated on conventional rims.
The Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP winter / snow radials meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
The Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP tires feature winter wear indicators to identify when wear prevents the remaining tread depth from providing beneficial snow performance.
Install Pilot Alpin PA2 ZP tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at all wheel positions. These run-flat winter / snow tires, due to their temporary extended mobility and exceptional snow and ice traction, must be used in sets of four to help ensure proper vehicle control.
