The Pilot Alpin PA3 is Michelin's Performance Winter / Snow tire developed to meet the needs of drivers who want to retain the precision of their ultra high performance sports car, sedan or coupe during winter conditions. Most Pilot Alpin PA3 tires meet Michelin's Green X standard* for low rolling resistance that confirms the tire's contribution to reducing vehicle fuel consumption and emissions of CO2 gases. The Pilot Alpin PA3 is designed to increase driving confidence in cold weather by enhancing traction and handling on dry, wet and snow-covered roads.
The Pilot Alpin PA3 features a sunflower oil-enriched Helio Compound to increase traction at low temperatures for improved braking and handling in the wet, as well as better overall performance in the snow. The Helio compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that features Variable Thickness Sipes (V.T.S.) technology where wide sipes on the inboard side of the tread design provide traction in the snow and narrower sipes on the outboard side enhance handling in the dry. The tire's internal structure includes a polyester cord body under twin steel belts that are reinforced by Michelin's BAZ technology, where polyamide cord is spirally Banded At Zero degrees to the direction of travel to combine high-speed capability with ride comfort.
The Pilot Alpin PA3 winter / snow radials meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol. They feature blackwall styling and are available in selected V-speed rated 55- and 50-series sizes for 17" wheel diameters.
Install Pilot Alpin PA3 tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at all wheel positions. These winter / snow tires, due to their exceptional snow and ice traction provided by their unique tread compounds, must be used in sets of four to help ensure proper vehicle control.

El neumático Pilot® Alpin® PA3™ es el neumático de rendimiento para invierno de Michelin, desarrollado para satisfacer las necesidades de conductores que desean mantener la precisión de sus autos deportivos de ultra alto rendimiento, sedán o cupé, durante las condiciones invernales. La mayoría de los neumáticos Pilot Alpin PA3 cumplen con los requisitos estándares Green X de Michelin*, para obtener una resistencia a rodar más baja, contribuyendo así a la reducción de consumo de gasolina y emisiones de gases CO2. Pilot® Alpin® PA3™ posee un compuesto de caucho Helio, enriquecido con aceite de girasol, que mejora la tracción en temperaturas bajas, esto a su vez, mejora el frenado y la maniobrabilidad en superficies mojadas, al igual que ofrece un mejor comportamiento en todas las áreas al manejar sobre nieve. El compuesto de caucho Helio es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento con diseño asimétrico, que utiliza la tecnología V.T.S. (Variable Thickness Sipes, Ranuras con Grosor Variable). Esta tecnología ofrece ranuras anchas en la parte interior de la banda de rodamiento para mejor tracción sobre nieve y ranuras más delgadas en la parte exterior que mejoran la maniobrabilidad sobre superficies secas.
