The P Zero Silver is Pirelli’s first road tire derived from Formula One. Sharing the name and silver P Zero sidewall identification of Pirelli’s most durable F1 racing tires for dry conditions, the P Zero Silver also shares the planning models, material technology and production processes. In doing so, Pirelli uses its state-of-the-art F1 motorsports technology to develop a Max Performance Summer tire for performance-minded enthusiasts seeking tires designed to provide maximum endurance for their premium sports sedans and coupes.
Offering driving characteristics typical of Pirelli’s “P Zero Collection” of road tires; the limited edition P Zero Silver is designed to combine great road feel, dry performance and wet braking. The P Zero Silver, like all summer tires, is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
All P Zero Silver tires are manufactured utilizing Pirelli’s patented MIRS (Modular Integrated Robotized System) technology, helping Pirelli deliver high performance and high quality to its customers.
P Zero Silver tires feature a tread rubber compound that combines special silica and carbon black ingredients to maximize endurance in challenging conditions. The compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric tread design in which the location and width of the circumferential and lateral grooves minimize deformation to blend responsive handling and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear and acoustic comfort.
The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped polyamide cord plies that controls tire profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.
