The Pirelli P4 Four Seasons tire is a Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans, minivans, crossover vehicles and small SUVs. The P4 Four Seasons is designed to perform in all four seasons by blending ride comfort, low noise and high mileage with traction on wet roads and in light snow.
The Pirelli P4 Four Seasons tire features a silica-rich tread compound to reduce rolling resistance and enhance foul-weather traction. The tread compound is molded into a symmetric pattern that features a continuous center rib and independent tread blocks (185mm section width sizes feature a single circumferential center groove and no center rib) that employ computer-designed siping to combine handling on dry roads with traction on wet roads and in light snow. Two central circumferential grooves and numerous angled grooves help water escape from between the tire and the road to reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The Pirelli P4 Four Seasons tires feature a computer-aided design (CAD) optimized tread profile with an internal structure that includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to combine good wear with ride quality and durability. Polyester cord body plies combine strength with ride comfort.
El neumático P4 Four Seasons de Pirelli pertenece al segmento Turismo Estándar Para Toda Estación y fue desarrollado para conductores de vehículos cupé, sedán, minivan, pequeños deportivos utilitarios y utiliautos (crossover). El P4 Four Seasons ha sido diseñado para ser utilizado en las cuatro estaciones, al combinar el confort del andar, bajo niveles de ruido y gran cantidad de millas rodadas, con tracción en superficies mojadas y cubiertas con poca nieve.
El P4 Four Seasons de Pirelli, posee un compuesto de caucho rico en sílice para reducir la resistencia al rodamiento y mejorar la tracción en condiciones climatológicas difíciles . Este compuesto de caucho es moldeado en una banda de rodamiento simétrica, compuesta de un segmento central continuo (tamaños de 185mm de ancho poseen solamente un canal circunferencial central sin el segmento central) y bloques independientes, que contienen pequeñas ranuras en la superficie, diseñadas por computadora para ayudar a combinar maniobrabilidad sobre superficies secas con tracción sobre superficies mojadas y con poca nieve. Dos ranuras circunferenciales centrales y numerosas ranuras angulares, ayudan a que el agua escape de la huella de contacto, y así reducir el riesgo del deslizamiento en agua (hydroplaning).
El Pirelli P4 Four Seasons posee una banda de rodamiento optimizada por un diseño realizado en computadora (CAD, por sus siglas en inglés, Computer-aided design) y la estructura interna, cuenta con correas gemelas de acero reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral, para así, combinar excelentes características de desgaste con una calidad óptima de conducción y durabilidad. Capas de cordón de poliéster combinan fortaleza con un andar confortable.
