The AVID TRZ is Yokohama's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of coupes, sedans and minivans. The AVID TRZ is designed to provide comfort, longevity and driving satisfaction across a wide range of road conditions, including in light snow.
The AVID TRZ features a silica-enhanced all-season tread compound that remains more pliable at lower temperatures to increase cold weather traction. The compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design featuring Three Ride Zones (TRZ). The outside zone features large blocks and continuous ribs to focus dry road cornering grip, while the center zone features circumferential grooves to concentrate on water evacuation and the inner zone features lateral grooves and sipes to emphasize wintertime traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon, along with a casing that sandwiches high-density sidewall filler between polyester cord plies to blend comfortable ride qualities with predictable handling.

Ha sido diseñado para brindar confort, longevidad y satisfacción al conducir a través de un variado tipo de condiciones climáticas, inclusive sobre superficies con poca nieve.
El AVID TRZ posee una mezcla del caucho que utiliza un sílice mejorado para uso en todas las estaciones, el mismo permanece más flexible en temperaturas bajas y mejora la tracción en condiciones climatológicas frías. Esta mezcla es moldeada en un diseño asimétrico con “Three Ride Zones” (tres zonas de manejo, TRZ por sus siglas en inglés). El diseño de la parte externa posee bloques grandes y segmentos continuos que se enfocan en el agarre al tomar curvas sobre suelo seco; la parte central posee ranuras circunferenciales que se concentra en sacar agua de la huella de contacto y la parte interna posee ranuras laterales y pequeñas ranuras sobre los bloques para mejorar la tracción durante el invierno.
Su construcción interna cuenta con correas gemelas de acero reforzadas con nailon envuelto en espiral y un armazón con rellenos en las paredes, entre las capas de cordón de poliéster. Esto, ofrece un andar más confortable y una maniobrabilidad predecible.
