The following web browsers have known incompatibilities with wheel search within Upgrade Garage: |

Linux/Unix: Konqueror Mac: Opera 6 WebTV AOL: Some incompatibilities have been found, but not for all users. Should you experience problems, use Internet Explorer or Firefox instead. Beta Browsers: Browsers that are in beta testing are not specifically supported, although they may work. |

If you're using a compatible browser and still experiencing problems, try the following:
2. Clear your cache, check cache settings. |
Internet Explorer 6.x Go to Tools>Internet Options. To clear the cache, select "Delete Files" near the middle of the "General" tab (Temporary Internet Files section). In addition, click "Settings" in that same section and set "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to "Automatically" for best results. Internet Explorer 7.x Go to Tools>Internet Options. To clear the cache, select "Delete..." near the middle of the (Browsing History section). From the following window, select “Delete files...” from the “Temporary Internet Files” section. In addition, click "Settings" in that same section and set "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to "Automatically" for best results. Internet Explorer 8.x Go to Tools>Internet Options. To clear the cache, click the “Delete” button near the middle of the “Browsing History” section. From the following window make sure that the “Temporary Internet files” option is checked and click the “Delete” button. Close the “Delete Browsing History” window. On the General tab, click the “Settings” button in the “Browsing History” section. Set “Check for newer versions of stored pages” to “Automatically” for best results. Firefox / Netscape 9 Go to Tools>Clear Private Data... You need only clear the Cache. It is not necessary to clear any other items. Netscape 8 Go to Edit>Preferences. Expand the "Advanced" button. Select “Cache.” Click on “Clear Cache” Safari Macintosh: Go to Safari>Empty Cache... |

3. Enable scripting (JavaScript) in your web browser or personal firewall. This is required to be able to view a vehicle photo and to see/use the navigation in the left hand column. |

Internet Explorer Go to Tools>Internet Options. Click on the "Security" tab. Make sure that "Internet" is highlighted in the white area of the screen and then select "Default Level." (If that button is grayed out, you already have the default settings and JavaScript is enabled.) Firefox / Netscape 9 Windows: Go to Tools>Options Click on the "Content" tab. Make sure that “Enable JavaScript” is checked. Netscape 8 Go to Edit>Preferences and find "Advanced" at the bottom on the left hand side Expand the “Advanced” button. Select “Scripts & Plugins.” Under “Enable Javascript for,” make sure that “Navigator” is checked. Safari Macintosh: Go to Safari>Preferences Click on the "Security" tab. Make sure that “Enable JavaScript” is checked. Norton Personal Firewall Open Norton Personal Firewall Click Options Go to the Web Content Tab To enable scripting for all internet sites, highlight Defaults on the left, choose "Permit" in the Scripts section on the right. If you wish to only allow scripts for tirerack.com, click the button on the lower left to "Add Site". Enter www.tirerack.com in the dialogue and press Ok. Make sure www.tirerack.com is highlighted on the left and then uncheck "Use Default Settings" on the right and select "Permit" instead. |
