New TPMS sensors must be initialized at the dealer. This charge is not included in the cost of the sensors. If TPMS sensors are not installed in the wheels, the TPMS light will flash for 1 to 2 minutes and then stay permanently illuminated. An audible chime may also be heard at start-up.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: May 09, 2012 I was looking for a wheel that would work well with my "Harvest Moon" (read as cream) color. Black rims are so over done it seems, and I did not want to be just another VW like everyone else. I settled on this wheel for both the color as well as the style. It is not something you see every day, and I think it helps my car to stand out among the mediocrity of the auto world. They bolted up without any issue, all hardware was included, and I even bought two spare center caps just in case. They are plastic, and if I lose or break one, It's always nice to have a spare. I had the Tire Rack match these with some Michelin Pilot Super Sport's, and all I can say is WOW! It is a great combination offering style and a great ride. Once again, these guys have outdone themselves. A repeat customer I am and shall remain!

Tire Pressure Monitoring System
	Your vehicle is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that requires a sensor to be installed in the tire and wheel assembly for proper operation. NHTSA's interpretation of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act prohibits service providers from installing aftermarket tires and wheels on your vehicle without working TPMS sensors. In some states, vehicle inspection regulations require operating TPMS on every vehicle that came with TPMS as Original Equipment. Check with local law enforcement officials to confirm restrictions in your area or check our latest listing here. The Original Equipment sensors from your Original Equipment wheels may be compatible with the new wheels you selected. Please consult the "Important Notes" link found online for more information or call Tire Rack for assistance. An inexpensive TPMS repair/rebuild kit is required when sensors are reused. As an option you may purchase the sensors listed below. They are compatible with both your vehicle's TPMS and the wheel you have selected. Additional Information A trained technician should perform installation of your sensors after your new wheels are shipped to you. Tire Rack's Recommended Installers are available to help you with your installation needs and can be selected by ZIP Code in the shopping cart. Once installed, you will need to read your vehicle's owner's manual to review the proper procedure for allowing your vehicle to "recognize" the new sensors.
