I have been trying to get this review "allowed" by TireRack so I will include their view point for all comments. They refused to publish earlier reviews because they did not agree with my comments.
When I received the wheels and mounted them, the car had a definite shimmy that wasn't there before (TireRack can't verify if I had a shimmy). So I took the car to a local tireshop and they said they could not balance the tire because of the plastic adapter (TireRack can't verify that it was a real tireshop). I talked to TireRack and they could not provide a metal adapter although I was able to find on on the internet (TireRack was not able to verify the suitability of the adaptors because they could find them on line). The result is I still have a shimmy that cannot be resolved. TireRack cannot determine if the problem is with the tire or the wheels. Nor can they provide metal adapter to allow the local tireshop to balance the tires/wheels correctly.
After less than 6 month on my vehicle the wheels are pitting (TireRack has the pictures). Now comes the problem. TireRacks says that the damage was due to negligence on my part for not cleaning brake dust off of the wheels. TireRack cannot verify that the car is a good weather only car ( Crossfire Convertible)that sits in the garage most of the time. They cannot verify that I have ceramic pads on the car. Nor can they verify that I only washed the wheels with regular car soap.
However, the manufacturer and TireRack have determined from the two pictures I provided that they could not have provided a product with a manufacturing defect.
So the result is that the manufacturer and TireRack have not honored my warranty request. TireRack has offered made an offer but it requires money and keeping these wheels.
If you read this review just be aware that you will need to clean the wheels after every use and have documentation that you did or any problem is yours.
