I cannot speak highly enough about Tirerack and these Motegi Racing 17" SP10 wheels in Hyper Black. I ordered the wheels with Continental ProContact tires mounted and balanced, and the wheels arrived in less than 5 business days. Had the wheels (and TPMS sensors from my existing stock wheels) installed at one of Tirerack's recommended installers in my vicinity and, whallah, my 2010 Winter Gray Prius was literally transformed into (believe it or not) what appears to be a sleek racing vehicle.

I love the hyper black color of this wheel, which is not black, not silver, but more of a gunmetal color. Looks really, really nice in the sun, in the shade, at night, etc. I'm glad I decided to dress my Prius up a bit as there are quite a few of these cars in my town and now I've got something uniquely mine.

As for the Continental ProContact tires, the grip, cornering and stopping performance in dry and wet conditions is light years above the stock 15" wheels with the high mileage Goodyear Assurance tires that came standard on the Prius. I have not noticed any appreciable drop off in mileage either (I drive using hypermiling techniques), and if there was some drop off in mileage, it would be a worthy trade off for the enhance safety that I now feel I have in terms of the enhanced performance. This was my first time ordering from Tirerack but it won't be my last!

I got a set of 4 15" hyper black sp10's for my mini. I wasn't sure what to expect from them, as people seem to be hit or miss with motegi. The name of the color is a little miss leading, its more like a gunmetal dark silver kinda color than black, it looks very much like the picture. Anyways, they fit on perfect, with the included locking lug nuts (a great touch) and centering rings. I got them mounted with some yokohama's and they look and preform great! I'm very happy with my purchase. They even have a fair amount of clearance over my brakes, which are fairly large in the front. and they look awesome! im very very pleased with tirerack, and very very pleased with my motegi's. P.S.- i went for a 205/55r/15 yokohama s.drive tire, which fits like a glove! the reccomended 195 will work great too i assume, but i wanted a little wider tires. Anyways, i love these wheels, i reccomend them to anyone! and if you don't like the hyper black, check out the matte black, also a nice finish!

Overall the wheel looks decent. I love the Hyper Black. The design of the spokes was not quite what I hoped for, but I chose them. Not their fault. The first thing I noticed about the wheels was the poor quality of the finish. Within days of the install, I was already finding chips on the spokes. As time went one I noticed more and more chips in the finish. I drive mostly on the highway (no gravel) so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that they would chip so easily. I would not recommend these wheels unless you are trying to save a few bucks. You get what you pay for here.
