I bought a new set of tires & chrome wheels for my 2008 Ford Edge that needed to be 'trained' upon installation and my local STS Tire Center wanted $45.00 for a single training. When I heard the cost, I figured I'd do a little research. I called and spoke to a Tire Rack advisor and he guaranteed this unit would work and he even sent me an email link to the appropriate directions to complete the job. I received the part in quick fashion (as always) and just used it now. The directions were right on the money and it worked perfectly. When I went back into the car to turn the ignition key OFF, the dash Info Center said that the training was successful. I started the car and the little orange icon for the 'tire pressure warning' was out...job completed! The whole process took all of 2-3 minutes and ANYONE who can read can do this. The training unit also came with a piece of Velcro so you can stick it inside your glove box so as to to lose it...good thinking Ford! As for the money spent on the tool, I'll be ahead of the money curve once I put the Winter tires back on this Fall!

Perfect solution - worked flawlessly. No more tire sensor warning message. And the price is right, too.

This TPMS reset tool works perfectly. The product is smaller than originally thought, but it works with only a push of a button. I was a little hesitant at first because I thought it was too good to be true. It works perfectly with my OEM sensors and aftermarket sensors! Glad that I had bought it!

I used this tool to reset a set of TPMS sensors after swapping rims on my 2011 Ford Ranger. My Ranger had the stock steel rims and I purchased a set of alloy rims and tires off another 2011 Ranger...and since the TPMS sensors are tied to the car that they were installed on, my TPMS light showed a fault. I used this tool to reset the sensors, which took less than a minute, my truck recognised the sensors, then TPMS indicator went out on the dash.
Note: I tried the magnet trick and other methods to try to reset the TPMS sensors...no magnet (and I have some very powerful ones) would do anything. The TPMS sensors on the Ford rims are:
1:RF controlled ... IE no magnet will reset them
2:vehicle specific (VIN specific, not make/model)
3:really easy to reset using this sensor.
