Most BMW owners already know how much dust accumulates on their rims with the stock brake setup. For me, its the worst I have ever seen. The 2012 and later BMW s have already taken care of this. For me, I had to clean the rims on my M3 every week or else there was too much brake pad dust build up. After researching the internet and talking to Tire Rack, I decided to take the plunge and get the Centric Ceramic Posi-Quiet Premium pads. Installed them myself. Besides, I wanted to clean up the OEM caliper and hub assembly during the brake pad change out. During the installation, its always important to grease all brake pad mounting points on the back side of the pad where the caliper makes contact to the shim and under the shim. I also like to grease the brake pad ears as wells and the groves the ears slide in. I use Mobil One Syn Grease, its the best. Sure it may take a little extra time, but its well worth it because it pretty much eliminates noise at the source. My rotors were in very good shape so I chose not to have them machined. Having a manual transmission also has its advantages since you can downshift and save on brake pad wear. However, these pads are considered to be premium and almost dust free. They function very well and provide excellent stopping power. Since the installation, I only have to clean the rims once every three weeks. Not bad considering.

These Brake PADs are bad, stopping power is very low on my 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and they squeak like crazy for first 2 minutes I drive my car. I combined these Brake Pads with StopTech Sport Slotted Cryo-Treated Rotor and I wouldn t recommend them to anyone.

Sorry to write this review before even driving with these new pads and rotors in place, but I wanted to make sure others considering these parts knew that the pads do not fit into the slots on the caliper carrier bracket as they should. I spent over an hour filing them down with a hand file. Yes, it could have taken minutes if I d had better tools, but that s not really the point. I ve done dozens of rotor and pad changes on many different cars with many different manufacturer s parts, and I ve never had to resize pads. Very disappointing - a major PITA. Should have been a 1 hr job.

The rotors looked pretty nice. If I can update this review after driving the car I will.

Price on the parts was great and Tirerack got them to my door in less than 24 hrs with free shipping.
