I tried the Hawk DTC-60 pads after ruining a couple sets of Street/Race pads from the same brand, along with a couple other pads choices. The 60s proved to be much more consistent than I expected them to be. I was worried they d get real grabby when they re warm.

They do require significantly more effort to use on the street, particularly when new. Give yourself some room to stop. They re also catastrophically noisy and dusty. I can really only get away with them because I don t drive my track car on the street much.

But on the track? They re great. They don t seem to be too hard on rotors and they stand up to the temperatures I hit with my brakes. They re easy to modulate, as well. I m not a huge fan of binary on/off pads.

I think I found my new favorites.

I use these pads for track use only. They Grip like MAD! incredible performance compared to a few others i have tried.
I stuck with these through maybe 8 sets? cant keep track.

On my car, on the street, I put them on before driving to the track, and they sound like a school bus - scares the bejesus out of people - even some in the pits lol.

using them on the street is ill advised ;-)

DTC-60s have excellent bite and don t fade in my experience. I can get two track weekends at VIR out of them. For street use, they d probably last longer than stock pads.
