Eagle F1 Supercar tires are Goodyear's Max Performance Summer tires developed for the drivers of select performance cars, like the Chevrolet Corvette C-5 Z06, Chrysler 300C SRT and Ford GT. Eagle F1 Supercar tires are designed to emphasize dry road traction and handling. Like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
Goodyear's warranty states: "Ultra high-performance summer tires are not recommended for winter use, and tread or shoulder cracking on those tires resulting from winter use will not be covered under our warranty."
Eagle F1 Supercar tires feature a high grip Goodyear AAtrax tread compound (the AAtrax name emphasizing that the Eagle F1 Supercar earns the highest "AA" Uniform Tire Quality Grade wet traction rating) molded into a slightly reduced tread depth (just 6/32" to 7/32" of new tread depth on Ford GT tires and 8/32" for Corvette tires) asymmetric tread design that combines large outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase initial steering response and cornering stability with a solid center rib to maintain constant road contact and enhance straight-line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves and smaller interior tread and shoulder blocks help water escape from between the tire and the road to maintain wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. The tire's structure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound Aramid to distribute the vehicle's load across the tire's footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Polyester body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.

Ratings Charts & Reviews Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar
Customer surveys indicate the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tire delivers excellent dry traction (scores 9-10) and confident cornering, aligning with its max performance summer focus. Wet traction shows mixed results, with some ratings dipping to 4-6, highlighting concerns in heavy rain. Comfort receives praise for a smooth ride (scores 7-8), though a few note higher noise levels. Treadwear is a common pain point, with rapid wear reported even by drivers who prioritize performance. While dry performance shines, buyers seeking strong wet grip or long-term value may find limitations.

The Goodyears are almost as capable as the race Hoosiers and wear excellent. My wife and I won the WSCC stock class chapionship on the Goodyears... I cannot think of a better compliment than the fact that the Goodyears allow you to drive to the event and win without changing to specialized tires.
The Goodyear F1 Eagle Supercar is the OEM tire on our Z06 Corvette. I have autocrossed for over 15 years and have previously run many brands of tires including Hoosier DOT race tires. The Goodyears are almost as capable as the "race" Hoosiers and wear excellent. My wife and I won the WSCC stock class chapionship on the Goodyears and if I had tuned up the alignment on the car sooner I believe they would have gone to 20K miles (14K at this point.) I cannot think of a better compliment than the fact that the Goodyears allow you to drive to the event and win without changing to specialized tires. Thank you! Goodyear for such an excellent product! I will give a caveat about driving when the outer rain grooves have worn to a solid surface that the tires can be downright unstable in standing water and heavy rain downpours but, when new they are very excellent rain performers in my local conditions in Northern California. There are some tradeoffs to be made for the ultimate dry perfomance and stability that the tires exhibit and that would be the average to mediocre rain performance, I am still amazed at the total performance of these tires and until Goodyear F1 Supercars can be beat at the Autocross races I will remain a dedicated customer (our rules mandate a treadwear of over 100 and the Goodyears are 220.) ...I tend to drive aggressively when conditions permit and have been able to give these tires a real workout. Dry traction is excellent as well as responsiveness and predictability.
These tires have proven to be very capable. I tend to drive aggressively when conditions permit and have been able to give these tires a real workout. Dry traction is excellent as well as responsiveness and predictability. Wet traction is not too bad as long as you don't push it too hard. I have yet to hydroplane but I'm very careful when going through standing water anyway. Road noise is actually surprisingly negligible, I hardly even notice it. Overall, I'm quite happy with the way they perform but I may give the Michelin Pilots a try when the time comes to replace them. That said, I wouldn't have any problem going with this tire again.

...In the dry this is the best handling street tire I have ever used. Cornering, braking, lateral stability in long high speed turns it does very well. You can run them almost down to the cords and they work well...
I run several sets of tires on my car. Ive used the GY Supercars on the street and feel it is a waste of money. For daily driving I use Firestone Wide Ovals. So this rating is based on their track performance. I use them for track (HPDE) and autocross. In the dry this is the best handling street tire I have ever used. Cornering, braking, lateral stability in long high speed turns it does very well. You can run them almost down to the cods and they work well. Below half tread they dont make good rain tires and they will hydroplane. But at half tread in the dry on track they rock. Only downside for track and especially autocross is straight line performance from a standstill. They will spin if you are not really easy on the throttle. I wont buy these for street use based on the cost, wet handling, and wear.

Most rate comfort highly with 9s/10s for smooth ride and low noise. Some note occasional firmness, but the Eagle F1 Supercar delivers a refined experience in summer conditions.

...They grip extremely well, provide great cornering ability, ride comfort and have no noise at all...
The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires are the OEM choice for the 2012 Dodge Challenger RT Classic with the Super Trak Pack.
These tires are ONLY Summer/Spring tires. They grip extremely well, provide great cornering ability, ride comfort and have no noise at all. I have read many, many times of consumers complaining about this tire and its lack of longevity compared to its price. For me, you have to know right away what you are purchasing. Like I stated earlier, this is a Summer/Spring tire that is meant to have a lot of grip. These tires are not meant for year round driving unless you live in that type of climate.
Within the first 1000 miles of owning my vehicle, I had two instances of vandalism, which ruined two of these tires. Goodyear stepped in and provided 50% discount on one of the tires as a one time discount. To me, that speaks volumes about the reputation and customer support that Goodyear has.

...The Goodyear F1 Supercar tires stick very well in these race speed conditions, never chunk and grip very well when hot...
These tires are on a C5 Corvette which is a daily driver to and from work. On eight weekends per year these same tires are used on one of three road courses in South Florida to run "hot laps" with a local drivers club (Performanc Drivers Club, a NASA affiliated organization). The Goodyear F1 Supercar tires stick very well in these "race speed" conditions, never chunk and grip very well when hot. I believe that they may be the best tire for this outside of the "R compound" tires yet I can drive these to and from the track and never have to change them.

Wet traction disappoints with many scores between 0-6. Customers report mediocre wet performance, sliding, and tendency to hydroplane. Some higher ratings (8-10) exist but concerns dominate for a summer tire expected to excel in wet conditions.

...I have had 20 cars and probably tried hundreds of different kinds of tires but these are by far the scariest in the rain. As stupid as this may sound, I have driven at triple digit speeds in the pouring rain with a half worn set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s and can not seem to get past 50mph in the rain with these tires which are not even close to half worn yet. These came as original equipment on my 2009 Challenger SRT8. I have had 20 cars and probably tried hundreds of different kinds of tires but these are by far the scariest in the rain. As stupid as this may sound, I have driven at triple digit speeds in the pouring rain with a half worn set of Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s and can not seem to get past 50mph in the rain with these tires which are not even close to half worn yet. They really make me nervous. They do hook up pretty nice when it's dry though and my Challenger is 500RWHP with track pack (6 speed manual trans with a 3.92 rear). I wouldn't buy them again, especially for the amount of money they are and their life expectancy.

...I cannot begin to describe how dangerous these can be when driving on wet roads. Even when turning on a city street at 35MPH, my grip was lost during a drissle wheather condition. And this is constantely, not just a one time occurance...
These tires came stock on my SRT4 and are nice on dry roads. Conering is good however grip is horrible whether driving on wet or dry, slow or fast. I cannot seem to leave the green light without spinning the FWD and this is all while being incledably sensitive on the gas pedal. They are deffinately summer tires only (and cross your fingers that it doesn't rain, Phoenix AZ perhaps is the only city to drive these in). I cannot begin to describe how dangerous these can be when driving on wet roads. Even when turning on a city street at 35MPH, my grip was lost during a drissle wheather condition. And this is constantely, not just a one time occurance.
I cannot comment on wear, as I have only owned them for 6 months now, but I will definitely stick to other better "summer" tires I've owned previously, not to mention the high price these run at.

These tires are simply the worst hydroplaning tires I have ever driven on, and this is not my first Corvette. There just isnt any tread to let the tire go through standing water... You just have to slow WAY down in the rain.

Treadwear shows concerning patterns with many scores between 0-5. Customers report rapid wear, premature replacement, and disappointment in tread life despite occasional high ratings.

Terrific handling; horrible treadwear. Im appalled to be at 9K miles and facing $1500 for new tires already. To have to replace tires more than once per year is a joke. I think Im going to try the Michigan Pilot Sports and hope I dont get a flat (no spare on the CTS-V).

...Making it even more expensive is the lousy treadwear. 8,000 miles on the front tires is about max...
The tire is too expensive for the small performance advantage over other brands. Making it even more expensive is the lousy treadwear. 8,000 miles on the front tires is about max. You cant replace them even if you have deep pockets because they are ALWAYS on backorder. And if you can find any just bend over - the price is usually way over major tire stores due to the availability. I have yet, since last fall, to locate a complete new set for my zo6 Corvette. When they started making the front tires, they quit making the rears. Goodyear can stick them. Im fed up with their arrogance and will buy Michelins from now on.

I have replaced my Eagle F1 Supercar tires twice already and as I just went to get an inspection I found out that I know have to put the third set on (@ $2k total) and I only drive 4,700 miles per year and I'm also an AARP member so I'm not a kid trying to show off. I am averaging 12k to 15k miles for my tires. At the price that I pay, I think that I should get better...

When I question the experts they say "well it's a high performnance tire".....huh!! don't I have to put some real mileage and use on it for that low treadwear timeline. I am moving on to another brand as I think that I have finally learned my lesson. Oh by the way, I did have my alignment checked every six months with nothing being wrong with it.
