The Advantage T/A Sport LT is BFGoodrich's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire for drivers of light trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles looking for handling and responsiveness to add some fun to the daily commute, combined with confidence in inclement weather. The Advantage T/A Sport LT is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance.

Tread Callouts

Advantage T/A Sport LT tires feature an advanced, all-season tread compound molded into a symmetrical design, allowing easy cross rotation to resist irregular wear. The tire's continuous center rib creates constant contact with the road, and combined with the optimized footprint provided by the Next Generation ETEC (Equal TEnsion Containment) System, delivers confident handling and high speed stability. Utilizing full-depth tread features helps to deliver traction mile after mile while the wide, circumferential grooves efficiently channel water through the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance. 3D Active Sipe Technology sipes provide an increased number of biting edges for improved wet and light snow traction.

The tire's internal structure includes a two ply polyester body casing. Next Generation g-Wedge Sidewall Stabilizer inserts help control distortion during cornering, and two wide, steel belts with a spirally-wrapped nylon reinforcement deliver durability, ride quality and stability.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...Since installing them, there hasn't really been any heavy snowstorms, but the light snow and rain we did get these tires handled it like a champ...

First of all, these tires just look solid. They have a nice beefy look to them, and to me they really change the appearance of the car. I ordered these based on the TireRack recommendation, and although they were a little more expensive than I was planning for, I went ahead and got them and I'm so glad I did. So far I only have about 1500 miles on them, but I have no problems yet. Since installing them, there hasn't really been any heavy snowstorms, but the light snow and rain we did get these tires handled it like a champ. There is no noticeable road noise, and the ride seems comfortable enough. I can't wait until next winter!

...They handle well and have been great to drive in wet conditions...

At first, I was worried because the tires seemed loud, but after a bit of initial wear they settled in and are now nice and quiet. They handle well and have been great to drive in wet conditions. Great tires. Really happy with them.

Since I've had these tires on besides the daily driving, we've had to travel to Nebraska last December crossing Donner Pass twice at night in heavy snow with no issues. The rest of the trip was pretty much wet, slushy or ice/snow and the tires performed much better than I expected.

Braking is responsive, handles politely and the tires aren't overly noisy. I have no idea how long they will last, but based on my experience so far I'd buy another set of these in a heartbeat.

Purchased a set of 4 on Easter Saturday. Got 4" of wet snow on Easter Monday morning. The tires performed well under the thick slushy conditions. Since then, they have handled well in rain and dry weather. They are extremely quiet and make the car feel 800 lbs lighter in handling. So far, I love them!

Excellent snow tire. I've spent a winter in Minnesota with these on and glad I purchased them. Not a true winter tire yet performs above expectations in snow. Did drive in all sorts of winter conditions including up to 8" of snow, packed snow, slush and Ice. Had no worries driving at a reduced speed in blizzard conditions - wheels stuck to the road. I did lose control in a couple of (controlled) ice tests but I believe that's unavoidable with any tire unless you have spikes. Slushy ice/snow, though, no problems - these tires did great.

I did research winter capable tires and as far as a price point these BFG's are a good choice. I had no confidence in the OEM Bridgestone Ecopia's that came with my Honda CR-V.

...Dry grip is just as good and they definitely handle and corner with a lot more confidence than the stock Toyo tires...

I know I don't have too many miles on them yet (1000 or so) but this review will cover all my initial thoughts.

First off they look great. I know most people might not care about how they look but as an automotive enthusiast with a MK7 Golf R, I definitely found these to be my favorites out of any tire I've ever bought. The tread pattern is fairly aggressive for a A/S passenger tire, very similar to the set of Blizzaks WS80s I own. I really like how the treads sweep out onto the sidewall and allow the precipitation to evacuate the inner tread efficiently. So far wet grip (driving in moderate to heavy rain) is very confidence inspiring. I have yet to "spin" or lose grip of the tires on the wet pavement. Then gain it's a relatively slow tall crossover, so it's not like it's putting a bunch of power down to the pavement. Dry grip is just as good and they definitely handle and corner with a lot more confidence than the stock Toyo tires. The strangest part about these tires is despite their fairly aggressive tread, they are super quiet on the highway, even more so than the stock Toyos with the same mileage, this might change as the tread wears but so far so good.

So in conclusion, I couldn't be happier with the performance and cost of this tire. I will come back with an update later on once I get more miles on them.

...significantly smoother, very responsive, good grip, NO road noise. Handling is very good, stable, and comfortable...

These tires are the 2nd purchase of same model (newly designed tread pattern - & much better). I had to replace bc my son kept them at max pressure and low load, lead to center wear. Replaced two front tires, noticed new tread, bought rear two. Once installed, ride is significantly smoother, very responsive, good grip, NO road noise. Handling is very good, stable, and comfortable. These tires are on the higher end of the price range, but a better buy than higher priced/similar tires. The RDX is a sport ride, these tires make it smooth while not rolling. I have performance brakes and vented discs, and these tires have been great additions. I would highly recommend these tires. They are also 'AT', but don't have knobs, so ride smooth in city and highway while giving you good rain traction and medium snow traction (light snow). Again, highly recommend. Would purchase again.

...A soft, compliant ride and inspired confidence means I would for sure buy these again as well as recommend to others (for a vehicle like this).

I put these on the gf's Flex and we immediately took a road trip from Georgia to northern Michigan and back. It rained very hard going up and coming back, which was not a factor. I had the utmost confidence in hard rain and dry conditions alike. A soft, compliant ride and inspired confidence means I would for sure buy these again as well as recommend to others (for a vehicle like this).

I've had these tires now for one and a half years... Tread wear still looks new...

I've had these tires now for one and a half years. I've driven in all the conditions rated and found this set of tires to be excellent in almost every category. We live in the country and anyone knows that country roads can be rough. These tires handle those roads with ease. They are smooth and quiet on the highway as well as in the city. Tread wear still looks new. They look great on my 2015 RAM pickup. I will purchase these tires again.

I am going in today to buy a new set of these tires as I have just passes 165000 Kilometers (103000 miles). I live in Canada and drive in all types of conditions from severe rain on the west coast to severe mountain in the Rockies and coast mountains. I winter in California but return at Christmas and would not replace them now if I weren't heading south in mid January as I have not reached the wear bars yet, but with another 6000 miles on the horizon I didn't want to take the chance with the winter conditions I might encounter.
I can't recommend these tires highly enough as I have never gotten this much milage out of any tire in my life, and that's a long time.
Happy Motoring
