Most customers give high scores of 9s and 10s for wet grip, praising confident handling in muddy conditions. Some note lower scores (3-6) with concerns about hydroplaning resistance on paved surfaces.

...To my surprise on wet surface the tires performed very well...
Compared to Goodyear Kevlar's I had previously fitted on my car KM3's are much smoother to handle on road and less noisy.
To my surprise on wet surface the tires performed very well.
Also when tested on snow we deflated the tire to 10 PSI and the tire was unstoppable.
I am very happy of this purchase and would definitely recommend these tires to all the fun lovers out there.

...In the NW, roads are wet 75% of the time. These tires have a predictable amount of grip which barely changes from wet to dry... Wet grip is very predictable...
To start with, these tires are not for everyone. They are civilized off road tires. In the NW, roads are wet 75% of the time. These tires have a predictable amount of grip which barely changes from wet to dry. That means the dry grip is not going to match a Michelin Pilot Cup tire. If you hear them howling around a corner, that's a clue. Wet grip is very predictable. I'm not averse to driving sideways, so your results may vary and drive within your limits. The only way to hydroplane these would have to be to drive into a lake, period. The first winter, these were better on my very steep 200+ foot long driveway than my studded snow tires. I very nearly swapped back to these KM3s after feeling the difference on fresh snow but, studs still work better on compacted snow and ice. These tires have held up to my heavy right foot (454BBC), no chunking and the wear has been better than I expected out of such a soft compound. These should be mandatory on any off road capable vehicle. If this sounds like fun, these are your tires. If you were looking for in-depth driving noise, smoothness or tread life comments; try a set of 80k Michelin LTX's. Enjoy.

Customers praise deep snow traction with many 9s and 10s. Snow scores vary (7-10), while ice shows mixed results (some 0-6). Ideal for off-road winter use but cautious on ice.

You want tires you can be proud of and all your friends are envious of?? THE KM3S ARE IT!!! These tires look nasty and mean. And they deliver. It snowed 18 inches with subzero temperatures with added ice. These tires never even spun or slipped at all. I stayed in 2 wheel drive on purpose, just to see what these tires had to offer. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE TRACTION AND THE TREAD CLEARED ITSELF OF THE DEEP, FROZEN TUNDRA. I WAS/AM BLOWN AWAY BY THE PERFORMANCE OF THE KM3. Yes, they are expensive. But even pulling my 18 ft.,tandem axel toy hauler loaded with my stuff and my 01 Springer softail, they NEVER MISSED A BEAT. No side to side weakness or sway. Due to the fact they are ruggedly built with super thick sidewalls and an indestructible foot print sole. I wasn't so sure how they'd react or last to the heavy weight of my trailer and the Construction environment I work in. Extremely tough, rugged and durable set of tires. I JUST LAID DOWN THE MONEY FOR MY 2ND SET TODAY AT DISCOUNT TIRE AND NEVER EVEN HESITATED. The manager tried to sell me on the KO2 and some kind of NITTO JUNK. I just couldn't settle for 2nd or 3rd best. Not after having experienced THE BEST,THE KM3. I've never seen anyone ever have a set of KM3s on their truck. Although, everyone always commented and complemented me on mine. Some things in life are worth spending your hard earned money on. YES! Again, the KM3 tire isn't cheap. But theres enough CHEAP TIRES OUT THERE. JUST NOT ON MY TRUCK PULLING MY TRAILER AND MY HARLEY BEHIND THEM. I love the security, safety and YES, the attention the KM3 delivers to me mile after mile. BUY CHEAP, YOU GET CHEAP. BUY THE KM3, YOU QUITE SIMPLY BUY, OWN AND RIDE ON THE BEST OF THE BEST, HANDS DOWN. BUY THESE TIRES. YOU'LL NEVER REGRET IT. AND YOU WILL BUY ANOTHER SET. JUST LIKE I DID TODAY. NO OTHER TIRE WILL EVER GO ON MY TRUCK. EVER.

...Dry and wet traction are amazing. I honestly feel like I'm on an all-terrain...
My previous set of KM2's were so great, I naturally went with the KM3 as soon as I finally wore the KM2's out. I know this is a mud-terrain, and most likely not the thing people care about the most, but I can't get over the road manners of this tire. My KM2's were very quiet, and these are even quieter for a mud-terrain tire. Dry and wet traction are amazing. I honestly feel like I'm on an all-terrain.
As with every BFGoodrich off-road tire I've owned, these things are unstoppable off the pavement. Mud traction is superb, and they clean themselves out very quickly with a touch of wheel spin. Rock traction, specifically when engaging the sidewall, is the best I've experienced. The giant sidewall lugs feel very tough and grab onto a rock face like fly paper. I had a set of Goodyear MTR's in the past and these tires are simply in another league in all aspects.
I hope the tread wear is as good as my KM2's were. I ended up removing those because they were aging (8 years) and I couldn't wear out the last remaining bit of tread. Haven't had the KM3's long enough to gauge, but I think they'll be great.

...Sidewall stability is great, offering good turn-in response, or at least as good as a tire with almost a foot of sidewall can offer... It's no race tire, obviously, but it behaves well at the limit on-road, breaking traction with a fairly smooth transition, and early enough to not force any sudden weight shifts that could result in a rollover...
These tires not only look fantastic, but they handle anything I throw at them with ease.
Well, except for ice... These are mud terrain tires, so ice traction certainly isn't a focus for them, but they do about as well as any mud tire on sheer ice and no ABS brakes (bad ABS sensor).
In the mild off-roading I've done with these (no Moab trips or anything, just local Indiana type wheeling), they have provided all the traction I needed for every scenario- rocks, mud, dirt trails, sand, hill climbing, you name it! And I didn't even need to reduce the air pressure to increase the size of the footprint- they had all the necessary grip to keep up with/outperform other less-modified Jeeps on the trails, except mine did it at highway air pressure.
On the road, I find them to be more refined than some of their competitors' tires I've had in the way they handle impacts and deliver a smooth and relatively quiet ride, at least for mud-terrain tires. Only a low growl is audible with just a soft top on public roads (louder under heavy acceleration), quieter than the howl that many mud terrain or max traction tires can deliver just coasting down the road.
Sidewall stability is great, offering good turn-in response, or at least as good as a tire with almost a foot of sidewall can offer... It's no race tire, obviously, but it behaves well at the limit on-road, breaking traction with a fairly smooth transition, and early enough to not force any sudden weight shifts that could result in a rollover. Disclaimer- don't try to powerslide or drift a Jeep on dry pavement.
Had these for 5000 miles now and haven't lost more than 1/32" tread depth, so I expect these to last a good, long time, even with the abuse I put them through.

...Wear is much better than the KM2's... I drive highway and off-road on the weekends... Have had little treadwear in 6500 miles...
I love my KM3's....off road traction and rock crawling is second to none...if you want the best KM3's are your Huckleberry's. Road noise is present but too terrible. Wear is much better than the KM2's... I drive highway and off-road on the weekends... Have had little treadwear in 6500 miles, no chipping and no hydroplaning in water...like I said off-road is stellar...can even take the tires down to 10psi with great rock climbing results..like sticky marshmellows.

...Tread wear is fairly good...
Great tires for off-roading, does great in mud, rocks and dirt. Used on our ranch truck and takes a beating. Tread wear if fairly good. Had no issue with it in the dessert and I have no worries about it when off roading. I drove on some rocky areas and didnt have to worry about sidewall punctures. Down side is tires are heavy, brought fuel mileage down to 13 when I used to get 17 or more. And not very good traction on ice, but I live in Arizona and hardly see snow where I live.I highly recommend this tire for the dessert. Also tread pattern is pretty looking.

...The tread wear is excellent given the type of tire it is...
This jeep is towed behind a large motorhome. It is used when the bus is "on the road." The off road traction and durability is excellent. The tread wear is also excellent given the type of tire it is. This is the third set set of these tires on this jeep. The tires become noisy and a little rough as the get higher miles in them, but generally, they are reasonably quiet and smooth. The off road use is generally in the western US.
