The Blizzak LT is Bridgestone's Light Truck/SUV Studless Ice & Snow tire developed for heavy-duty applications. Designed to provide the drivers of medium-duty, heavy-duty and commercial light trucks with the load carrying capacity and traction they need, the Blizzak LT is available in load range E (10-ply rated) sizes and delivers sure-footed confidence in cold, dry and wet conditions in addition to in snow and on ice.

Bridgestone Blizzak LTUtilizing a rugged, light truck winter compound enables the Blizzak LT to withstand the heavy loads and harsh conditions often encountered by commercial vehicles. Tie bars in the outboard shoulders connect and stabilize the tread blocks to provide confident handling and resist irregular wear. Wide, outboard circumferential grooves help evacuate deep water and slush, and the zig zag center groove further aids hydroplaning resistance while also improving snow traction. Deep tread depths and independent tread blocks aid grip in snow, while the specialized winter compound and high sipe density provide traction in wet or snowy conditions in addition to on ice.

The internal construction of the Blizzak LT consists of a robust, two-ply polyester cord casing. Two high strength, steel belts support the tread and are reinforced by a nylon casing ply.

Blizzak LT winter tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Blizzak LT tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the Blizzak LT, Bridgestone recommends using Blizzak LT tire on all wheel positions to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.

...Wet traction wasn't a problem either...

I purchased these tires for the winter on my service van. They performed very well in snow and good on ice. Wet traction wasnt a problem either. Dry traction was good too. When the tires are new and the tread is the deepest you may feel some steering issues when cornering at highway speeds but this is a soft compound winter tire and my service van is very heavy. Tread ware is just ok but that was to be expected as these are winter tires and are of a softer compound for colder weather. These tires ride very nice and are quite quiet on highway. This set only lasted for a season and a half but the service van is heavily loaded all the time and that was to be expected. I would definitely recommend this tire for anyone who wants excellent grip and braking abilities in winter conditions. I will be getting another set for this winter season as well. Dont forget these tire must be used in all tire positions for best performance ( install in sets of 4 only).

I bought these for my F150. They are the best winter tire I've ever owned. I live in a rainy climate but frequently drive to the mountains to go skiing. These tires easily handle everything I've thrown at them. I've driven only 6k on them, but haven't seen any, that's right ANY, tread wear. If you're on the fence, buy them. You won't be disappointed.

...Tread so far is holding up with dry highway use...

Tires performed well in snow. Many trips to NH skiing and often in snow and ice. Marked improvement over the OEM tires which were surprisingly poor in the snow. Tread so far is holding up with dry highway use. Major disappointment was the inability to pair the pressure sensors with the truck. Multiple contacts to tire rack and attempts to pair them with the truck were in vain. Eventually just left the light on. Just swapped the OEMs on for the spring and the OEM sensors easily sync'd.

...With an unloaded pickup bed, 2wd, in the rain, I would often slip on acceleration from a stop on the OEM A/T tires. With the Blizzaks, I almost never slip in the same conditions.

I decided to run winter/snow tires year-round in MN. Not worth the cost to keep switching twice/year (I've done it on other vehicles before, plus cops run winter tires year-round in these parts for the same reason, good enough for me). Went with more durable LT size on an 18" wheel (OEM is non-LT on 20" wheel). Yes, they do wear more in the summer but not too badly when going easy. I still have plenty of tread left after 10k miles in 12 months. Ride is about same. I'm expecting about 2-3 years with these which is less than an all-season or AT tire but the tradeoff is excellent snow/ice traction in the winter when I need it the most. Bonus, the tread and compound that makes them so good on snow/ice makes them just as good in the rain in the summer. With an unloaded pickup bed, 2wd, in the rain, I would often slip on acceleration from a stop on the OEM A/T tires. With the Blizzaks, I almost never slip in the same conditions.

Did not disappoint. SIgnificantly more comfortable and quiet than expected...not quite as good as my all seasons but not bad at all. Exceptional traction and control in slush, ice and light snow. Seemed more capable than my prior Blizzak DM V2's in the snow. Great tread depth.

...Driving about 5000 miles so far on the tires through deep snow, ice and, hard pack all season long in North western montana they are missing less than 1/32nds of tread, have no uneven wear or feathering...

One of the best studless snow tires with a 10 ply rating you can buy. The reviews of people upset with how quickly they wear I can guarantee are doing one of a few things. They are either towing a tong of weight/trailer in the winter on dry pavement, putting the tires on too early in the season/removing too late in the season, or using these tires in a climate that they are not needed. Driving about 5000 miles so far on the tires through deep snow, ice and, hard pack all season long in North western montana they are missing less than 1 32nds of tread, have no uneven wear or feathering. If you tow excessively, and or driving strictly on ice the studded nokian hekkapallite (definitely spelled that wrong) is a great alternative that will not wear as quick. If you want the best winter traction possible under normal cargo loads the blizzak LT is second to none.

I travel over Wolf Creek Pass twice a week all year long. This tire is the most reliable, no slipping and sliding. If taken off during the summer months this tire would last 3 years. But can't get the boss to swap them out for a cheap summer tire, so we have to replace them every fall.
Great on ice, snow, packed snow, and wet roads. About the same as any other tire on slush.
We've purchased this tire for 11 years now and will continue for as long as they make them. I also have them on my personal vehicles.

My second set of these, first ones had about 24,000 miles on them and were not ready for another 9000 mile winter. I've had to drive these tires to FL twice and they seem just fine in the heat, but the treads are sensitive to temp. When towing these tires will last longer if you don't load them hard under acceleration. I towed my 9000 trailer in a blizzard and was never concerned about traction.
