Like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, the RE-71RZ should not be driven, stored, or serviced in near- or below-freezing conditions, snow, or ice.
Bridgestone's race-bred compound, using advanced, high-grip polymers, works in concert with the Potenza RE-71RZ's aggressive, asymmetric tread design to extract maximum dry traction. Its low-void, broad outboard pattern and optimized footprint were designed to evenly distribute pressure through corners, maximizing contact area while reducing heat buildup for consistent, even wear during extended sessions. The solid circumferential rib maintains unbroken contact with paved surfaces to deliver instant, precise steering response all the way to the limit. Note: Potenza RE-71RZ tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
