Grand Touring All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sophisticated appearance, competent handling and H-speed rated (or higher) durability, along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Grand Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sophisticated coupes and luxurious performance sedans.

O.E. Grand Touring All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers Say

Customer ratings show the Bridgestone Turanza EL440 delivers excellent dry traction (frequent 9-10 scores) and responsive handling, paired with strong wet performance (7-10 range) including reliable hydroplaning resistance. Comfort receives consistent praise for smooth ride quality and low noise. However, treadwear scores vary widely (0-10 range), with many reporting premature wear concerns. Winter traction shows mixed results (0-8 scores), with some drivers noting limited confidence in icy or deep snow conditions. As a Grand Touring All-Season tire, it excels in everyday dry and wet driving comfort but may disappoint those prioritizing long-term durability or severe winter capability.

...Few days ago drove on highway in heavy rain and they were stable. Much better traction than Michelins as the Primacy would always spin from stop in the rain...

Purchased these to replace OEM Michelin Primacy at 47k miles. Granted the Michelins had some miles on them (not at wear bars) but I immediately noticed these are quieter with a more comfortable ride. Drove 300 highway miles just after installing and was very impressed. Few days ago drove on highway in heavy rain and they were stable. Much better traction than Michelins as the Primacy would always spin from stop in the rain. Cornering and overall feel is on par with Michelins.
I’ll come back after I drive in snow this fall (Iowa). In this size (235/45R18) these are impressive and I don’t understand where the poor reviews are coming from.

After putting 50,000 miles on these tires in one year I'm very impressed. I drive back and forth from Canada to Florida. These tires are a dream to drive on in Canada's wicked winters and during heavy rains in Florida they stick to the road providing safe travel. I have 6hem rotated at each ool change and they show minimum use.

...Back roads dry pavement? Pushing 100 I had no problems...

I have a 2020 Camry XSE. I do the speed limits but, not too often. We had a heavy rain here Texas recently, so I took the dare from the reviews. I hit the highway pushing 85 mph. It is 87 North here in Texas. I had no problem here in rural Texas. Back roads dry pavement? Pushing 100 I had no problems. I'm 58 and a experienced driver. That might have something to do with it. Had 2019 Corolla Hatchback with Yokohama tires, they were a little better at same speeds but not by much. Road noise? Tires that REALLY grip the road I notice have the most noise. I don't care about noise, I have a stereo that makes more. I want a tire that let's me DRIVE. I will get better tires when these wear out but, I have had much worse, like the OEM tires on a 1986 Horizon. They were Goodyear.

...Dry traction is far better than the wet traction (we just had a ton of rain the past couple of weeks out here in California [week of 1/12/23 to 1/16/23])...

These are the OE tires that came with my 2022 Toyota Camry XSE. They are ok tires for an OE. Ride comfort is decent, but with low profile tires on my car, I feel that there are better tires out there that may have better ride comfort. Dry traction is far better than the wet traction (we just had a ton of rain the past couple of weeks out here in California [week of 1/12/23 to 1/16/23]) and they did the job by not hydro plaining at appropriate speeds on the free way and on residentials. I have yet to drive the tires over snow and slush so this I can't rate on. Treadwear so far is is wearing equally and still shows a ton of grip. I expect better tires from Bridgestone and at $321.24 at Tire Rack and less at other places possibly, I'm sure there are far better rated tires than this to buy when I get my new set of tires.

...They are quiet and the ride is comfortable...

I had a set of these tires on the brand new car in November of 2020. They are quiet and the ride is comfortable. Within one year, however, two of them have developed side wall bulges. One after another. The first one was prorated and replaced by warranty. After I caught the second one within a month or two of the first (not the one that has been replaced), I decided not to claim warranty - I do not want to replace one junk with another, so I have changed two of them on the front and will soon change the second pair on the rear too, including the replaced one. The thread on these tires is pretty warn anyway. Though I expected that, I was very disappointed with bulges.

...Tried in dusty snow condition and almost rear ended vehicle in front...

By far the worst tires i ever had. Came new on my honda van so I thought they should be decent as it’s a family vehicle. Went on a 3k miles vacation and had to be extremely careful when raining since car would loose traction immediately and constantly. Tried in dusty snow condition and almost rear ended vehicle in front. They are as low quality as they come and after 26k miles completely worn. Went to continentals and will never consider bridgestone!

...Don't even get me started on in winter snow and ice traction. I know these are not all-weather or winter tires, but I think I'd rather fit skis to my car than another set of these tires...

By far the worst tires I have ever owned. I've had over a dozen vehicles now, and as such, have experienced all sorts of tires, but none have ever caused me as much grief as these Turanzas. They were the stock tire for my Mazda3 Turbo, so I decided to get as much use out of them as possible before replacing them. If only it was that easy... These tries are just awful. In only 25,000 miles, the tread is extremely worn. 2 of the tires were replaced by the dealer early on from experiencing sidewall bubbling. Fortunately the replacements haven't suffered the same fate, but the lack of puncture resistance on all 4 means that all of them at some point have been easily thwarted by a nail, and on one particular tire, a tiny pebble. I continued to plug these tires for a while but it was a losing battle. It's one thing to be fragile, but another to also be completely incompetent as a tire. The traction of these tires (AKA the whole point of a tire) is basically non-existent. Acceleration, braking, turning, etc is all a very unsettling experience. Add any moisture to the road and they are like driving on bars of soap. Don't even get me started on winter snow and ice traction. I know these are not all-weather or winter tires, but I think I'd rather fit skis to my car than another set of these tires. Everything about them is just pathetic. I've never been more excited to spend $800 replacing tires, but I am looking forward to my new Continental DWS06s - A tire that I know I can trust from years of wonderful experiences. If you are considering shopping for the Bridgestone Trauma - Don't, just don't. Go for something - anything else with a better reputation. These are bottom of the barrel industrial tires provided to car manufacturers at cost. They are not meant to last, they're meant to get the car to the dealer lot and into the customer's hands with as little cost-perunit as possible. Avoid purchasing these on your own will.

Tires 235/45/R18 came factory on my 2019 Lexus ES 350. They are very expensive and not living up to the treadwear rating. These tires are noisy and I can't wait to replace them. I only have 17594 miles on these tires and they will need to be replaced by early fall (it's now July 31st 2022). They spin too easily when turning from a stopped position at a light or stop sign. Even if you get on the gas pedal from a stop going straight they spin briefly. I want to move forward when i give it gas, not sit there and spin. I bought my Lexus because I wanted a quiet comfortable drive. These tires do not deliver. I have no idea why Lexus would choose these tires for their OEM specs. I will be replacing with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires. According to tire rack reviews, they are better in every category.

These tires are rated for 50,000 miles, and are my OEM tires. I have 40000 on them right now but they aren't even legal! They hit 4/32 before 35,000 miles. Considering that we had them rotated regularlyand they wore evenly, I have to believe the quality is just bad. Since there is no true treadwear warranty on OEM tires, we just have to replace them. DEFINITELY would not recommend or replace with the same tire.
