Continental CrossContact LX 

These tires came on my Jeep from the factory. At first I was really happy with them. When it came to the first rotation at 8k I noticed above average wear on the inner and out tread. I had the alignment check, but was within factory specs. As I kept driving I noticed the road noise and ride comfort were getting worse. Around 17k miles the front two tire were at the ware bars so I throw those two on the back. I was very displeased with how the tires held up. I just swapped over to some new tires, because one of the tire had a leak we could not find. The tire tech and I pumped the tire up to 50 psi and spread the tire, wheel and valve stem with soapy water. We couldn't find any bubbles coming from any where. After leaving the tire for 15 minutes with no weight from the Jeep on it, it had dropped from 50 to 32 psi. I was done with these tires and got 4 new Luafenns G FIT AS to replace them.

The only redeeming factory to the continentals is the wet grip and braking. I've had to drive through some heavy tropical storms and I never felt in danger or unsafe. I'd say if you already have them on the car just ride it out, but if you are looking to buy a set stay far far away. They aren't the cheapest tire and they normally don't come with any tread warranty.

These were the OEM tires on our brand new 2013 Toyota RAV4. Traction and handling performance was very good. Good handling in the rain too. Never used in snow or ice so cannot comment on those areas. Tires did become somewhat noisy at highway speeds around 20,000 but not too bad. Biggest disappointment was tread life. By 29,000 miles the tire treads were down to 2/32" to 4/32" and had to be replaced. The tires were rotated every 5000 to 6000 miles. I will not buy Continental tires again due to the short tread life we experienced. For replacement tires, I decided to get the newer Hankook Kinergy PT tires . I will post a review of them after we drive on them for a few thousand miles. Thank you Tirerack for being a great resource on tires.

Great tire. Got these right before the winter hit. Couldn't be happier. Great traction in snow and ice. Added a little weight in the back of the pick up and have not needed to use 4 wheel drive. Saving on gas. Traveled 40 plus miles in every winter storm this year including PAX with ease.

I recently bought a used S10-Blazer with a set of old Cooper tires on it that still had tread left. I drove from Eastern U.P. Michigan to Tire-Rack on my way to Chicago to pick them up. The old tires never felt secure on wet payment and traction on light snow was scary. I had to stay behind slower vehicles throughout the entire trip. I noticed the difference immediately once the new tires where mounted. On the way home, I was driving in the left lane passing everyone on the freeway and roads in rain and snow. I felt secure the entire trip with a cruising speed that shorten my return trip by over 2 hours.



Up here in Michigan's upper peninsula we drive on ice and snow packed roads most of the winter. These tires do the job great. I always feel secure on the road and can drive without any worries. I though I was going to have to buy a set of winter tires for the snow season but I see no reason to now.



The tires look great on the vehicle. I particularly like the raised rubber edge around the tire bead area that protects my aluminum rims as well as the white lettering that is well done by Continental.



I did find, however, that the tire is somewhat limited in that when I'm driving in over 3-4 inches of snow, traction suffers as can be expected of an all-season tire. That is the only time I've ever had to put the vehicle in four-wheel drive except for when accelerating up moderate to steep hills.



With over 5,000 miles on these tires and driving in all types of weather conditions, I've yet to notice any tread wear and these tires have exceeded my expectations.

These tires came new on my 13 Santa Fe...They are the best tires I have experienced..Grippy, quiet, smooth, and 17,000 miles with no visible wear..Fantastic...

Great tire. I am on my second set of these now. These replaced the stock BFGoodrich that came with the truck. The Continental Cross Contact LX are a great handling, great traction tire both in the wet and dry at great price. My first set made it all the way to Colorado from Florida on there last legs and they still performed great on the trip. My second set already has about 5k miles on them back from Colorado to Florida, and they even made it up Pikes Peak with some light off roading. Love these tires. On this second set I have heard a bit more road noise, but its tolerable. Highly recommend these tires. Note: My driving style says average but I don't baby the truck, but I do take care of it.

Almost as good as my performance tires for handling. But, wow, they are the quietest tires I’ve ever (not) heard! Like really wonderfully smooth and quiet. Great for highway safe feeling and comfortable.

Perfect fit and match to the original set that came on the 2010 Honda CR-V 4wd from the dealer when it was new. Car feels "happy" when driving with these - just like the tires were made for the car (acceleration, braking, cornering, comfort, general driving experience). Would recommend as summer tires for 3rd generation CR-V owners.

I've had these for 60k now and they are just about ready to be replaced in another 2k miles. I run 45k miles a year and on the highway average 70 mph for 3 hours per day when traveling. These have been the best tires I've ever owned on the last 4 cars and will buy them again.

These came as OEM on my Honda CRV and bottom line - they have been very good tires. Good traction (we don't have snow in south Texas), excellent wear, and the noise is not bad. Preparing to replace them soon and considering Michelins, but I tend to stay with what works for me so I'll likely buy the Continentals again.
