The Dueler H/L Alenza with UNI-T and/or UNI-T AQII technology is Bridgestone's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tire developed for the drivers of premium crossover and sport utility vehicles, as well as light duty pickup trucks. The Dueler H/L Alenza is designed to provide elegance with an edge, as well as year-round traction, even in light snow.
While all Dueler H/L Alenza sizes feature Bridgestone's UNI-T technology to take tire behavior to a higher level by increasing comfort and control, in order to further enhance wet traction over the life of the tire select sizes also have Bridgestone's UNI-T AQII technology which features dual layer tread compounds to resist the normal tread rubber hardening that results from the heat encountered during thousands of miles of use. As the tire wears, the special underlying high-grip rubber is exposed, helping offset the effects of heat and wear on wet traction. The result is that UNI-T AQ II technology helps handle wet road conditions even as the tire wears over the years.
The symmetric tread pattern of the Dueler H/L Alenza has been ride and noise tuned to enhance comfort. Large shoulder blocks and a continuous center rib boost responsiveness and highway stability, while wide circumferential grooves, lateral notches and sipes help increase stormy weather traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts (reinforced with spirally wound nylon for H-, V- and W-speed rated sizes) to provide support under the tread area, while polyester cords stabilize the sidewalls and enhance ride quality.
Note: While Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires offer all-season versatility including traction in light snow, tire sizes featuring extremely wide tread widths may limit the traction this type of tire can provide in deep snow.
*Specific sizes featuring UNI-T or UNI-T AQII technology are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Sooner or Later You'll Own Generals - Maybe Now is the Time(04:02)
If you ask people about General tires, many will remember the decades-old slogan "sooner or later you'll own Generals." General recently introduced the Grabber HTS as the newest member of the Grabber family of SUV and pick-up/light truck tires, focusing on all-season traction and ride quality for drivers who never need to venture off paved roads and highways. To gain a better understanding of how well the new General Grabber HTS fits with today's SUVs, we did some comparing. Maybe now is the time.

...never had a problem on wet paved roads or gravel roads...
I own a small farm in WV. Snow, mud, highway and steep hills are a year round issue. These tires are great! Decent mileage performance, good gas mileage performance, never had a problem on wet paved roads or gravel roads. They are not a mud tire but performed well in light-moderate mud conditions. They did surprisingly well in the snow in level and up hill conditions. However, going down hill in any amount of snow was like being on a set of skis. No steering control and you basically slide down a typical WV gravel driveway. I live on top of a small mountain adjacent to the "Summit Bechtel Boy Scout National blah blah blah". My gravel driveway is kept clear in the winter by my tractor (anything above 4 inches). This tire has been one of the best I've ever owned. It looks good and rides like a dream. In my area of the US this tire is the most versatile and efficient tire nine months out of the year. A great tire for a light truck or SUV. Cheers!

These tires are very good in wet or dry conditions. The wear is awesome after almost 70000 miles still have 4/32 of tread. Planning on buying a new set today!

Decent well-rounded tire. I got 52,000 miles out of them on a Jeep Grand Cherokee V6, normal or spirited driving and sometimes towing a trailer. Purchased primarily for the fuel economy, though I have no empirical way to tell if they have above-average fuel mileage or not. I do feel that they are a harder compound for increased fuel economy, so dry traction suffers. I was happy with the wet traction.

Most customers rate winter traction highly, with snow scores often 8-10. Ice traction shows mostly 7-8, indicating reliable grip in light winter conditions. A few lower scores suggest varied experiences in severe ice, but overall performance is strong for all-season use.

...They were fantastic in almost every regard - city/highway, dry/wet/snow and comfort/tread wear...
I had these tires on my 2010 Toyota Tacoma TRD Access Cab. They were fantastic in almost every regard - city/highway, dry/wet/snow and comfort/tread wear. For the price I paid and the demand I required, these tires sold me on Continental as a brand. Great handling, very slow tread wear, quiet road noise...I couldn't have asked for more. I put the tires on the Tacoma when it had approx. 40,000 miles and I traded in the truck when it was at about 85,000 miles total - so 45,000 miles of tread life and I'd have kept on driving. Highly recommend!!
*Now I have a 2015 Audi S4 with Continental ContiSport Contact 3's, which are stock tires and have their own pros/con, and I'm in the market for more Continental tires.

...These tires had performed as reviewed, especially in heavy, light and deep snow. ...
I bought the Contact LX20 when my 2014 CRV had 2,000 miles because these are .75 inch wider than the OEM Contact. These tires had performed as reviewed, especially in heavy, light and deep snow. The ran smooth and quiet in on dry surface and went around corners with confidence. They really compliment my CRV. At 20,000 miles they still look new. However, my next set would be True Contact which is a step better from the review. I plan to buy it for my 2016 CRV also.

...Dry traction: great...
We love these tires! We bought them after the stock tires on our Fisker completely disintegrated at just 10,000 miles. My wife and I wanted to try something new, and she was especially excited to hear these had great snow traction. Plus, they were cheaper than the OEM tires — and frankly, we refused to buy those again.
So far, they're a solid 9/10 across the board (because there's always room for improvement). Dry traction: great. Wet traction: great. Wet snow traction: surprisingly superb!
My wife was convinced I’d get stuck in the snow, but she was shocked (and relieved) when I made it home without a scratch.

In a perfect world, where I am always driving on dry roads, these tire would be at the top...
In a perfect world, where I am always driving on dry roads, these tire would be at the top. But, after about 30k miles, wet traction started to decline, especially from stop. At about 40k miles, I noticed a little more noise, but not bad. Unless I’m slowly forgetting how quiet they were originally. Which is probably true. Prior to the 48k miles, these tires, were fantastic! And in all reality, still are, if you’re factoring in the mileage. Don’t get me wrong, I could easily get another 15k-20k miles out of them. They’re wearing great! I do try and rotate them at almost all oil change intervals, so I’m sure that’s the key. If I rated these, based on now, of course they’re not going to score as well as when they were new. When they were new, they beat just about any tire out there, in almost every category. So, does the truth lie somewhere in between?
Ride comfort and noise levels receive excellent ratings (mostly 9s-10s), offering a smooth, quiet experience ideal for crossover/SUV touring.

...Very quite tire, very good ride and handling...
Tires were OE fitment. This is the first time I have ever replaced an OE tire with another set of the same model tire as I have been so impressed with them. Very quite tire, very good ride and handling. Sure footed traction in all road conditions and the tires last 75,000 + mile. If not for the fact that we are heading into winter I would have run them an additional 5-10K miles.

Some lower scores suggest isolated wear concerns, but overall satisfaction remains strong in all-season use. High ratings emphasize durability and consistent wear patterns across varied driving conditions.
