Does this tire fit your vehicle?

Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

Grand Touring All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of a sophisticated appearance, competent handling and H-speed rated (or higher) durability, along with all-season traction, including in light snow. Grand Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on sophisticated coupes and luxurious performance sedans.

O.E. Grand Touring All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Limited sizes of the ProContact TX are available with Continental's ContiSilent Technology, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

...These tires perform very well in both dry and wet conditions, providing reliable traction and a smooth ride...

I am very satisfied with the Continental ProContact TX tires on my 2020 Nissan Altima S. These tires perform very well in both dry and wet conditions, providing reliable traction and a smooth ride. While they perform decently in snow, I recommend being cautious when the tread reaches half its life.

On old pavement, the tires produce minimal noise, and they become very quiet on recently paved roads, enhancing the driving experience. These tires are the OEM choice for my car, and I am currently on my second set. Additionally, I have had Continental tires on three of my cars and have never encountered any issues. I plan to stick with this brand for a while.

The only thing I can complain about is the treadwear mileage. Although they are rated up to 65,000 miles, I only got a little past 40,000 miles before noticing decreased wet traction at high speeds (> 65 mph) and needing to change the tires.

Overall, the Continental ProContact TX tires are a great choice, and I highly recommend them.

...For normal driving in dry and wet conditions on city roads, freeways, smooth roads, lousy roads, and through standing water, they are really quite exceptional, for an A/S tire. Handling and braking in all conditions is well above my expectations...

This tire is OE on the 2015 Audi A3. To be honest, I don't like or use all-season tires. My standard procedure, for cars that don't have OE summer tires (the A3 does have that option but they're stupidly sized 19" along with sport package etc.), is to replace OE A/S tires with summer tires the same day I take a new car home or otherwise as soon as possible. If I'm living somewhere that requires cold-weather tires, which is anywhere it gets under 45degreeF regardless of precipitation, I get a wheel+tire combo from Tire Rack. I've done that for over 15 years. Having said all that, I broke with tradition with this car. I do still plan to replace these with better-sized 16" or 17" summer tires and wheels soon. However, for now I'm using these 18" OE A/S tires, and they are surprisingly good. It's the first time in my life I've been anything but disappointed with an A/S tire. For normal driving in dry and wet conditions on city roads, freeways, smooth roads, lousy roads, and through standing water, they are really quite exceptional, for an A/S tire. Handling and braking in all conditions is well above my expectations. They are relatively quiet too. I would never use these on snow or ice. I think I'll keep these awhile longer and see how things go. Not having to plunk down $1100+ to ditch underperforming OE A/S tires the day I buy a new car is kind of nice.

...I've driven the car at least 5 times in heavy rain and have not had a single problem in wet conditions. It's weird - These things actually seem kind of beastly...

I felt the need to review these tires after seeing so many negative review online. This model came standard / OEM on my wife's Regal TourX. Initially I thought I might force my wife to replace them before even bringing it home but decided not to spend the extra $$$. While we live in a city, the car has mostly been used for road trips during COVID so about 80-90% highway. So far these tires have been excellent. They are quiet, provide a comfortable ride and perform overall very well for Grand Touring tires (I have winter and summer sets for my other car). I've driven the car at least 5 times in heavy rain and have not had a single problem in wet conditions. It's weird - These things actually seem kind of beastly... I don't know if they changed the manufacturing process on these or overall improved quality but they seem significantly better than a lot of the reviews on here. Not quite 10K miles but the tread wear looks good. No experience in snow but I think with the AWD etc. they would be decent enough when driven cautiously. Nothing is going to match winter tires for snow / ice conditions - probably the biggest deficiency for all-weather tires. While these are TPC spec and have "ContiSilent" I'd maybe look at replacing with the PureContact LS (I like Continental), or maybe even the Vredestein QUATRAC Pro - those have great ratings and less expensive. If you're looking to keep OEM / some of the advanced tech on these tires, then my opinion is it is worth it as they seem pretty solid to me.

...They're pretty stiff, but that's by design and they work well when pushed, especially in dry weather...

These came from the factory on my A3 s-line wheels and are only used from May-November, never in snow. My car has 36,xxx miles on it, so even if they've only been on half the time I'm still impressed with how well they've done. I rotate them properly, every 5K if I can, and they are mostly quiet; when there is any noise I believe it to be more the fault of the road surface as it comes and goes, and varies with speed as well. They're pretty stiff, but that's by design and they work well when pushed, especially in dry weather. I've not had any issues with them in the rain, haven't lost traction/hydroplaned once in this car. It's worth noting that Continental produces this tire in 2 variants, one with an item number for VW and another for Audi. I had the pleasure of needing to replace one tire just over 5k miles due to a nail that wasn't repairable; I went with the VW numbered tire due to cost (around $25 or so less) and the only difference is the style of the sidewall. I've since learned that VW uses this tire on GTI and Golf R models, anyone knowing what they're talking about will know that these 3 cars are very much the same, so make sure you're checking prices searching by tire, not just by make/model. Overall I'm very pleased with how they've performed and held up with my driving, assuming they remain reasonably priced I plan to purchase a complete set when needed.

...they ride well they are quiet... My only very minor complaint is they are a little soft and don't corner as well as other tires I have had...

On 4/11/18 I purchased a 2017 Buick LaCrosse with 8700 certified pre owned miles I now have 14550 miles and am absolutely happy with the OEM Continental tires they ride well they are quiet have a lot of tread life left they do very well in all wet conditions no snow yet (and would be happy never to get any) so i can't rate them for winter yet My only very minor complaint is they are a little soft and don't corner as well as other tires I have had Also I have never owned a Buick before and they do ride softly so a little less cornering seems to be the price paid for a soft quiet ride over all great tires and I would replace with the same

They are super comfortable quiet soft tread tire...

They are super great comfortable quiet soft tread tire, wifes car has gotten 3 nails in them but fixable only had to replace 1 tire thru Continental tire manufacturers but they were great customer service. With her car being AWD its great cant get them to break loose we both drive very aggressive and average 80 mph long travel hwy speeds. Got two yrs out of them but we put 400-500 miles a week commute to work and kids sports. 31mpg. !! Great at high speed too. Very soft grip for not being high performance but great tire. At 40,000 miles on this set there bald now and will be getting another set !!!

...OEM for my Malibu, all 59,800k on the same set. Final measurements had 3/32-5/32 between the 4 tires...

If you want performance and durability, pick a set of these up. If you want quiet/comfort, stay away.

The good: OEM for my Malibu, all 59,800k on the same set. Final measurements had 3/32-5/32 between the 4 tires. My daily commute consisted of stop/go often in pouring rain as well as cross country trips. Never had a fear with dry grip when cornering at high speeds on the I-40 in NC through the mountains. Never broke traction on wet asphalt but they did begin hydroplaning towards the end of their life, early life they were fantastic. Also did some unsanctioned recreational rallying on a wet clay road. Rear (non-drive) tires felt loose but never got stuck or left me feeling out of control.

The bad: autoshops never seemed to get these tires in proper balance even with a fresh alignment, slight but constant steering wheel vibrations were a daily occurrence at speeds over 45mph.

The ugly: These tires were always LOUD but were especially bad at high speeds. This is why I made the switch to the P Zero AS 3 and the couple hundred miles I've put on the new tires is enough to confirm the Continentals were the cause of both the vibration and noise, not the vehicle.

Not a bad tire, the performance and durability were superb, but as someone who enjoys listening to music and talking through android auto/apple carplay, the P Zero AS 3's are less expensive, more quiet, comparable performance and have a better warranty. For that reason, I'm unlikely to purchase another set.
