Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires are for drivers who want a combination of sophisticated low-profile tires/large rim diameter wheels to enhance their vehicle's appearance with all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD light- and medium-duty crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers Say

Feedback suggests challenges for the Dunlop Grandtrek PT20 in its all-season role. Comfort receives mixed feedback, with some customers reporting harsh ride quality and noticeable road noise. Treadwear scores are inconsistent, with several reports of premature wear despite some users noting acceptable longevity. Winter traction is a notable weakness, with low ratings on ice and in deep snow raising concerns for colder climates. Wet traction shows variability, though some praise its hydroplaning resistance. Dry traction stands out as a relative strength, with many users praising confident handling and responsive steering in fair weather, aligning with its touring focus.

...Wet traction is not good for a tire that wore out so quickly. At 32k miles they now hydroplane in the rain...

OE tire on my 2022 Toyota Venza LE. The tires wore evenly (they were rotated every 5k miles), with no cupping. Dry traction is acceptable. Wet traction is not good for a tire that wore out so quickly. At 32k miles they now hydroplane in the rain. We didn't get enough snow these last two winters to judge the tires for this. Soon to be replaced with another brand - leaning towards Continental CrossContact LX25.

...wet grip is nonexistent ( you'll be lucky if you don't die)...

Factory tires on my Rav4 Prime and these are by far the worst tires I've ever experienced on a vehicle. Dry grip is lackluster, wet grip is nonexistent ( you'll be lucky if you don't die) and the tires are completely bald after 20,000 miles. If you buy a Rav4, do yourself and everyone else on the road a favor and immediately replace these with literally any other tire!

...Then it snowed. Firstly, I was disappointed that I had to rock my 4WD SUV - with TRAIL mode enabled - back and forward just to get out of my parking spot. Then on the road - plowed, and with with 1/4 inch of fresh snow - I could feel the sideways slip on even mild curves, and so I was one of those cars traveling at 20 in a 40 zone, and driving those behind me crazy...

TLDR:
Horrible tires - never again.
I replaced them after 3k miles because of their horrific behavior in snow and slush.

Fine in the dry, and adequate in the wet.
Sub-standard in snow, and downright dangerous in slush.
Harsh over surface irregularities, and road noise that announces - loudly - every change in surface.

Zero steering feel on my RAV4 hybrid, so the only information you get about the limit of adhesion is once you've gone past it.
Which means that driving in rain or snow is incredibly tense and exhausting.

Details:
My new 2021 RAV4 Hybrid was delivered in mid December - with the Dunlop Grand-T*rds installed.
I loved the RAV4 Hybrid from the get-go, but I immediately started looking for after-market shock-absorbers to try to smooth out the harshness over surface irregularities.
I also noted the absolutely dead steering - but I didn't buy the RAV4 for performance driving...

The tires had more grip in the dry than the dead steering lead me to expect, and never lost grip in the wet - but did aquaplane occasionally when hitting standing water.

Then it snowed.
Firstly, I was disappointed that I had to rock my 4WD SUV - with TRAIL mode enabled - back and forward just to get out of my parking spot.
Then on the road - plowed, and with with maybe 1/4 inch of fresh snow - I could feel the sideways slip on even mild curves, and so I was one of those cars traveling at 20 in a 40 zone, and driving those behind me crazy.

After 3 experiences on the same day of skating through slushy intersections at 3MPH - all with my 4-YO daughter on board - I realized these tires had to go before they caused a collision.

So after 3k miles I replaced them with Michelin CrossClimate2 tires which simultaneously fixed all the issues with my new car.
I no longer need new shocks, I no longer hold up the traffic in the snow, I can stop and turn safely in slush, the steering has feel, rain and standing water are non-events, and the car is quiet and serene on all normal surfaces.

Tire just slipped, has poor traction on light snow and on sharp turning, despite being so slow and careful. Low hydroplaning resistance. Also the road noise became quite high.
It’s OEM on my RAV4 Prime SE 2022 (Bought Oct 22). And I did dutiful factory 5k rotation maintenance.
Replaced these out at 32,956 miles (in Jan 2025) due to safety concerns in NJ weather. I will never buy Dunlop again. Replaced with Michelin Defender 2 - which is working great.
Of note - my prior Camry Hybrid 2012 never slipped - had Michelin tires - despite many heavy snowy / rain seasons. Toyota needs to get rid of Dunlop - needs better stock tires for the RAV4 Prime.

...These tires honestly don't do anything well from traction in wet or dry to longevity...

In my 58 years of driving, I have never driven on a worse set of tires. These tires came on my 2021 RAV4 Toyota and I can't believe Toyota would let Dunlop smear Toyota's name so badly. These tires honestly don't do anything well from traction in wet or dry to longevity. As soon as I get home from this highway trip of 800 miles, I will be putting on a decent set of tires. DO NOT BUY DUNLOP TIRES!!!

...Additionally. the Dunlops never have been very confidence-inspiring, as you don't think they'll hold a corner well in wet, or even dry, for that matter. They have so far, but then again, I'm in my mid-50s and don't drive like a maniac anymore, so take that with a grain of salt...

These tires came on the vehicle when I bought it new and I had zero expectations that they would be a recommendable tire. Honestly I can't think of a time when I had a good set of tires that came with any new vehicle, and I've had plenty of them over the years. These tires are your basic, run-of-the-mill, la-de-dah, grocery-getters that'll last the average driver around 35-40,000 miles or more, if you keep them inflated, rotate properly and have good alignment. I drive 90% highway miles and they've worn decently. If I'd kept a better eye on my alignment, these tires would probably have lasted me about 60-70,000 miles. Your mileage may vary.

Additionally. the Dunlops never have been very confidence-inspiring, as you don't think they'll hold a corner well in wet, or even dry, for that matter. They have so far, but then again, I'm in my mid-50s and don't drive like a maniac anymore, so take that with a grain of salt. 25 year-old me could've told you a Road & Track style performance review, but I digress.

However, I will say the MPG out of these is great and if that's all you're concerned about, knock yourself out. If you're ready to replace tires, especially on your RAV4, I would definitely not recommend a set of these particular Dunlops, unless you don't care about noise, comfort or any appreciable handling characteristics.

...They easily squeal going around corners in dry conditions and break loose when accelerating...

These are terrible tires. They are noisy and the traction is awful. They easily squeal going around corners in dry conditions without much effort and break loose when accelerating. In wet conditions they slide around turns like no other car I've ever driven and are pretty scary. I don't trust them at all in the rain. Toyota made a huge mistake putting these poor tires on their quality cars.

...Obnoxiously loud. All the reviews about the noise levels are true and mostly due to tire sound...

These tires came with my new 2020 Rav4 Hybrid XSE. Man are they loud. Obnoxiously loud. All the reviews about the RAV4 noise levels are true and mostly due to tire sound. Put on after market cross rails right away and removed them thinking that was the noise. Nope, tire noise. Worst yet, the dreaded thump thump thump of the tire cupping started at about 17K miles. Took back to dealership to take a look and make sure not a suspension issue. Nope, bad tire. And because of significant treadwear, very little Dunlop would do.
For noise alone...dont buy these tires. Fast tread wear to. 1 bad tire, need to buy 4 new ones after 21K miles.
Now for the winter driving. This car is terrible in slippery conditions. Didn't noticing anything in normal snow driving, but snow on ice and this car is way worse than my 2013 Ford Fusion with cheap tires. Didn't really think it was a tire issue until i read all the reviews on how bad these tires are in slippery conditions. So, noise, cupping, poor on ice....shame on you Toyota for putting these junk tires on your popular brands.

...The most annoying part is that they have been nearly intolerable for the past 5k miles in terms of road noise. It is possible the soundproofing in the vehicle is not the best, but the roaring at speeds over 40-45 mph is ridiculously loud. This definitely wasn't the case for the first 10-15k miles...

Original tires on 2019 Toyota RAV4 XSE Hybrid AWD. Seemed fine for first 15000 miles and was optimistic about potentially longer tread life than with original tires on several Volvo XC90 and XC60's in the past, however we are approaching 20k and tread is looking not so great. Not Dow to the wear bars yet, but I'm not sure they would make it through a mid-west winter. The most annoying part is that they have been nearly intolerable for the past 5k miles in terms of road noise. It is possible the soundproofing in the vehicle is not the best, but the roaring at speeds over 40-45 mph is ridiculously load. This definitely wasn't the case for the fist 10-15k miles. Sadly I'm almost ready for the tread to wear out so I can replace them and see if the vehicle can once again be tolerably quiet. Will definitely not be looking at these or any other Dunlop tires based on this experience.

Purchased a 'certified' used 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XSE in Atlanta, GA with 3500 miles and drove it to Reno, NV in August 2019. Took it in for ToyotaCare appt in March 2020 for a 10k service. Tire tread was worn but adequate for Reno weather (100's in July & August) and snow in winters. Due to Covid-19, our next ToyotaCare was September 2020 with 13,500 miles and tires now need replacing due to wear. Down to <4/32" even with proper rotation and air levels. ...However by 25,000 miles, the tires were worn down much more than expected... By 30,000, tread remaining was minimal - enough that I did not feel comfortable driving in wet conditions. At 34,000, the metal was coming through the sides.

First time ever leaving a review like this, but AVOID these tires at all cost. These were OEM tires on our 2019 RAV 4 Hybrid XSE. Noise level was horrible from day 1 (much noisier than any other tire I've owned), but the ride was decent initially.
