...Driving in the dry was OK, but on I-78 in the rain I almost thought I was driving on ice down the highway...
I was always under the impression that these tires were "OK", but I have since realized there are much better options. Driving in the dry was OK, but on I-78 in the rain I almost thought I was driving on ice down the highway. I didn't have to drive in the snow far, but I recall these having trouble around my hilly street even with my vehicle's AWD system. Impacts are handled pretty harshly and they really didn't help a sport suspension in having a compliant ride. 30,000 miles and was at about 3/32 which would not be suitable for NJ winters, so I swapped to DWS 06 and I won't be looking back at getting run-flats, especially these, again.

I almost died using these tires in the rain. I was driving my 2017 Q60 3.0t down the highway, in a straight line, when revving to 3-4k RPM the tires broke loose while going 60 mph.
If, these tires can not handle this basic maneuver, then Infiniti should reconsider using these tires.
It took me over a month to get comfortable with these tires due to the horrible traction.
I promise my driving and the car are not to blame. These tires are scary bad.
I can't believe Infiniti lends their tester/review cars to reporter with these tires. I promise the bad handling reviews are do to these tires.
Solution: Buy a tire repair kit for emergencies with an air compressor, then buy a good set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Infiniti is using these tires because they are produced in Japan.
Buyer Beware!

I agree with the negative/very negative reviews of these tires. I had not felt safe with them, especially in wet weather. I experienced hydroplaning twice. In the first case on an Interstate Hwy when all 4 tires block loose at approx. 60MPH, and only regained traction when my offside tires slid onto the gravel shoulder. Otherwise the other reviews noted above, are spot on.
I had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3 + V rated tires installed yesterday, and drove home in a mix of sun and rain. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, I have a born again Infiniti. Smooth as silk, and goes where I point it effortlessly. I drove aggressively in both the wet and dry easily and predictably.
With the dreadful run flats, I only had 7 months protection from a tread puncture in any case, as I run snow tires the other 5 months (Canada, you know). I have also purchased a tire repair kit from Canadian Tire at $50.00 (Canadian). This is something I should have done earlier. The kit has a repair material that is TPMS friendly and can withstand the heat and cold of my trunk, and a car lighter generator capable of inflating the tires to full specs.
I recommend replacing these dreadful "run flats" as soon as possible, if only to experience the true capabilities of your car.

...Traction in rain is terrible, do not even attempt to drive in the snow or ice or you will end up in the body shop...
This is the worst tire I have ever driven on. Infiniti should be ashamed for screwing over us car buyers. This tire has been used about 1 year, but only about 8,000 miles because I used winter tires for 5 months. They are already down to 5/32. Traction in rain is terrible, do not even attempt to drive in the snow or ice or you will end up in the body shop. The replacement cost of these crap tires is insane, almost $350/ea, at minimum! Do NOT buy these tires!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE TIRES!!!
It should be illegal on how poor these tires perform in ANY category, wet, dry, ice, ANYTHING! My brother, who has extreme summer performance Falken tires does a wayyy better job in rain and snow, and they are cheaper. One of my front tires recently started having a random inner tire wear, and even after an alignment, it was still wearing that one tire. Also road noise sounds like you are constantly driving on rough roads and it feels like it too, it’s ridiculous! If someone is telling you to get these tires, they probably don’t like you. These tires belong in the trash!

...Snow traction isn't terrible but for the price of this tire, you could get a Conti DWS Extreme Contact for half the price that would absolutely blow this tire away in all seasons...
These came standard on my 2014 Q50S Hybrid AWD. I've had many years of experience with Nissan and Infiniti products, and they have started using Dunlop in recent years, but they always put awful tires on any type of "sports" sedan. So far, I have 26,000 miles on them and I'm probably going to be replacing once they hit 30k just because the snow/wet traction is not there once you hit about 10,000 miles. Luckily I got the Road Hazard protection on my car because I've had two flats and had to replace two of them already (I suspect a small leak in one of them at the moment, so that would make three). They are noisy, harsh, and very stiff. Wet traction is awful, this is a heavy and powerful car and these things have very poor lateral grip. Dry traction is fine and cornering on dry pavement is good, but that means nothing considering that even a bald tire will perform ok in dry conditions. Snow traction isn't terrible but for the price of this tire, you could get a Conti DWS Extreme Contact for half the price that would absolutely blow this tire away in all seasons...and when I get rid of these, those are what I am getting. Very disappointed that Infiniti would allow this garbage on one of their products. Stay Away.

Not the worst OE tires I've come across, at least in the dry. They have been relatively quiet and stable at speed on smooth roads. That said, traction could be better, they are prone to breaking loose relatively easily under heavy acceleration. They also have a tendency to trammel a bit on less than perfect roads at highway speeds. I attributed their initial hard ride to being run flats, but they seemed to settle in somewhat to the point where the ride has improved under most driving conditions.
Wet performance is frightening, you really have to dial it way back or else you're going to be sideways. Haven't run them in the snow yet, I can only imagine what a treat that will be. I can't imagine anyone buying these as replacements, especially at this price point.

...Customers report severe issues with dry traction: "This hybrid spins all 4 wheels in the dry when accelerating, drifts across lanes of highway with slight breeze in the rain, and is basically uncontrollable the snow."
I'll just put it this way - I was certain these were made out of balsa wood, until I encountered a pothole, which proved that I was driving on something far less flexible. I'm beyond hating these and being upset with them, and am actually impressed by how terrible of a tire Dunslop has managed to produce. I've settled on Continental DWS06 as a replacement, and figured I'd take a look at these quickly, as I assumed it was the low price that convinced Infiniti to turn their Q50s into death traps by equipping these tires as OEM equipment.
I'm thankful that they exist, and that they exist in this price category. Not only did I spend solid 3 minutes laughing at the price, I'm also extremely excited to perform the biggest improvement on a vehicle in the history of mankind, by swapping these for literally any other other tire.
It is comical that these exist, and that Nissan group has decided that they are acceptable to be used on any of their cars. My 25 year old RWD Nissan 240sx on 500 dollar set of BFGs is far safer to drive than a 2015 AWD "luxury sport" sedan, and that's an understatement of this century. This hybrid spins all 4 wheels in the dry when accelerating, drifts across lanes of highway with slight breeze in the rain, and is basically uncontrollable the snow. It does all this while producing about as much road noise as an average fighter jet on take off, and riding like something out of Flintstones. Infiniti of Bellevue has replaced 3 of them over the course of 12k miles, due to them de-laminating and bubbling, (which they are all doing again) and I can not fathom why they didn't just throw on a new set of literally anything else, and saved themselves a bunch of money.
But hey, at least you can drive a few miles at 40mph if you have a blowout, although you'd be better off, and safer, just by sitting in your car in the middle of a poorly lit highway at night, than driving on these.
1/10 - would be safer, quieter and more comfortable on wooden wagon wheels

...Mediocre traction dry, poor traction wet, no traction snow/ice...
Absolutely awful tires. Mediocre traction dry, poor traction wet, no traction snow/ice. I regularly experience vibrations--like snow is packed in the rims--for the first couple miles if the car has sat for more than a few hours. I thought the Goodyear RS/As that came with my previous Infiniti were bad. Having experienced these, I'm finding myself rethinking the definition of "bad." I haven't had the pleasure of exercising the "run-flat" feature, but being stuck waiting for roadside assistance would be a pleasure compared to suffering these tires one mile more. I'm replacing with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and just stuffing these back on for the lease return.

My third Infiniti but first with run flats and cannot wait until the Dunlop's have to be replaced with non run flat tires.
Wonderful vehicle, but these tires and run flat capability really diminish joy of ownership.
To top it all off, the Infiniti came with run flats, but with a full tire jack and spare!

...too noisy, minimal comfort, it just destroys the experience of driving...
Guys, I am sorry but I will only be able to write the truth. This is a piece of ---- tire that should never even be installed on factory fit from the company. Way too noisy, minimal comfort, it just destroys the experience of driving. Well, even for sportiveness, its not as responsive as one would think while accelerating. Does not provides any grip in little snow either. A punture in the tire is difficult to patch, and no local companies were willing to do it, so I ended up getting rid of them at 31K miles and getting the top rated Pirelli Cinturato P7 all-season plus. I will never buy the Dunlop Sport 5000 DSST CTT Run flat ever again. Well I am lazy too, but this time I had to write a review for this scum of the tires.

It really is amazing how awful these tires truly are... if I was trying to make them somehow worse I'm not sure what I would do. Besides the harshness, noise, incredible wear rate (down to 7/32 at 10k miles), horrendous traction, and PRICE, the worst part of the tires is their ability to redirect your car along road imperfections. It feels as if there's some auto pilot trying to take over the car if the lane has any wear or grooves in it. Any kind of snow/slush/ice is just immediately dangerous. These manage to negate any AWD capabilities of the car. I cannot fathom how these tires are available for purchase, and pity anyone else who ends up stuck with them as their vehicle's original tires. Infiniti needs to wake up and realize the damage these tires do to their brand. The only saving grace of these is they'll wear out quickly so you can come back to this site and get some real tires. I cannot wait to get some Continental DWS 06's as replacements.

...Result: my front tires were nearly bald on the outside, and this is getting them rotated and balanced every 5K miles. I had to replace the front tires after 10K miles and I just hit 20K in less than a year and have to replace all four now...
Background: My drive to work is about 25 miles each way. Stop and go traffic on some highways and more open lane on others. I took this car to the mountains on winding roads twice within the first 10K miles.
Result: my front tires were nearly bald on the outside, and this is getting them rotated and balanced every 5K miles. I had to replace the front tires after 10K miles and I just hit 20K in less than a year and have to replace all four now. I am going with a Michelin PILOT SPORT A/S 3+ (W- OR Y-SPEED RATED) tire. I live in NC and we don't get much snow, but when we do there is no plowing so and without a decent tire i cant use the full functionality of the Infiniti Red sport sport 400 AWD car.
Bottom Line: i don't see how this super expensive tire is recommend. Yes it is run flat, but other than that feature the replacement cost for a poor tire is unreal and the tire performance does not match the car.
