...High speed in rain is no problem, excellent on off road trails...
I am a media storm chaser. To get paid, I have to drive to the worst part of the blizzard/ice storm, high speed in heavy rain to shoot tornadoes etc. I bought my Xterra new in 2007 and now have 265,000 miles on it so I've had MANY different brands of tires on it to compare. K02s were very good in snow and sand but hydroplaned too easily. Dura Tracs were good in snow and mud but the well known weak sidewalls which cut easily on rocks when off roading cost me 3 of them. Firestone Destination AT was a surprisingly good tire in everything except off roading. THIS tire, the Falken Wildpeak AT3W has been THE best tire I've run on this truck. But the secret it to NOT get the "LT" version because only the NON "LT" version has the silica tread compound which is what makes them so incredible in ice, snow, and rain (plus makes them last longer). They are still load range 116 which is higher than the LT Load C Dura Trac! I am able to get into places with these without chaining up that I always had to chain up before. High speed in rain is no problem, excellent on off road trails. I'm at 40,000 miles and these will last well beyond the 55,000 warranty. Very even wear so far. I'm done looking. This is the only tire I'll be running on my trucks/SUVs from now on.

Just had these put on my truck.I had to get my inspection sticker this month and the original tires were pretty worn. 3rd day on the truck I had to drive to Boston. It was raining really hard. The truck handled great . No hydroplaning, stopping was excellent. A big notable difference. Will update after I get more mileage on them. So far very happy.

I'm a Maine forester so these tires have performed flawlessly on remote, rough, muddy, stony, and deeply snowed in logging roads. They are still quiet with 65,000 miles on them. I have them rotated and balanced (if needed) every 5K miles with my oil changes. Great tire.

...These tires did better than expected in the snow with or without a trailer... Aggressive enough to get and keep traction in smeary mud on top of frozen ground...
Bought these for farm/work truck. Typically has something to pull or haul. These tires did better than expected in the snow with or without a trailer. They have performed well at any task we have driven in. Aggressive enough to get and keep traction in smeary mud on top of frozen ground. All in all impressed with the tires.

...Off road they are phenomenal. Held up extremely well on our camping trips where we've towed our teardrop trailer through mountain passes, in Utah around Moab, and a few places back home in Wisconsin...
Tire is all around pretty good and mainly bought it for the severe snow service rating and the looks. I think going forward I would sacrifice that to get a lighter tire. Compared to the stock Bridgestone AT’s the truck came with, these are a much heavier tire (over 10lbs a corner). A lot of that comes from a heavier duty sidewall and much deeper lugs but you feel it. It made the suspension extremely lazy and mpg’s took a pretty significant hit. Off road they are phenomenal. Held up extremely well on our camping trips where we’ve towed our teardrop trailer through a few mountain passes, in Utah around Moab, and a few places back home in Wisconsin. When I first had them installed I was baffled how much weight was stuck on the wheel to balance them. I thought for sure the shop messed up and just didn’t take off the old wheel weights first. So I peeled them all off myself and took it to a different shop just to see and they put nearly the identical amount of weights on. If you’re coming from a tire in the same weight range as these it’s a no brainer, great tire. I’d put this right up there with a KO2. Otherwise, I think there might be better options that can shave a few pounds per corner since sprung mass makes such a massive difference in every aspect of driving.

...In spirited driving this tires do grip... and they grip haaaard on concrete and asphalt... soo i feel really really secure... cornering ability... amazing... soo yeah driving dynamics... are awesome... likee it feels like summer tires on a hody on frame suv...
Well , my car is Actually and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 series.... VX Grade... KDSS.... a twin brother for the 4runner TRD OffRoad Premium. Difference is tire size... mine is a 265/65R17 116T Extra Load rating.... running 30PSI in all 4 corners....
Just about to cross the 5,000 kilometers .... bought them on January 4 2025....
Previous tire was a Pirelli Scorpion HT ( not available in USA) its a Brazil Tire from Pirelli....
Yess it was a highway terrain tire...
The Falkens are harder... obviously...
I feel more vibrations all around....
Its strange how this tire behaves
.. cause in certain road irregularitues... it completely absorbs them.... but continious ones... it totally unsettles the car....
Tire noise has been getting bad... at the begining... nothing.. silence... but not its uncomfortable...
Wet traction is amazing... it really is.... fuel economy wise... its worse...in city it has been around 25-30% more fuel consumption... and on hightways its been 20% more consumption....
Soo in reality... for what i expected... its not good.....
And its not even an LT rated...
Maybe i got a bad set of tires?... not sure...
In spirited driving this tires do grip... and they grip haaaard on concrete and asphalt... soo i feel really really secure.... cornering ability... amazing.... soo yeah driving dynamics... are awesome... likee it feels like summer tires on a hody on frame suv... and the transition between grip and understeer... is well noo surprises there...
Sooo....jum... it feels tok much as a performance summer tire....
Soo if i wass gonna review a summer tire... this onee is awesomee...
But as an all terrain Im jot sure....
But also my suspension was alreadyy harshh so driving a harder tire makes everything harder?
All and all.... as an all rounder tire... it behaves goood....

...Awesome customer service, excellent performance on highway, low noise and comfortable...
This is my second set of Falken Wildpeak At3w. I ran them on my 2016 Sierra and now on my 2018 f150. This time I bumped to load range E due to a heavier camper, I was unsure what psi to run at so I contacted Falken directly. The put me through to their engineers who asked about my vehicle set up. 2 hours later they got back to me with an optimal pressure of 57psi. Awesome customer service, excellent performance on highway, low noise and comfortable. Superb performance off-road and these tires are beast in the WNY weather.

...Customers praise the tire's comfort, noting: "At highway speeds (80mph) these tires are smooth, quiet & stable. They also handle 'beltway style' driving with ease- performing well at fast curves, serves & hard breaking."...
After 80k miles of hard driving, I Just ordered my second set of Falken Wild Peak AT3w's. Hands Down these tires have been the best set of truck tires I've ever owned- They have simply been rock solid.
I drive a '12 Ram 2500 CCSB- mostly highway & city driving with the occasional off road jaunt. At highway speeds (80mph) these tires are smooth, quiet & stable. They also handle "beltway style" driving with ease- performing well at fast curves, serves & hard breaking. They aren't race car tires, but for what they are the handle outstandingly well. City driving is just fine too.
Off road they are grippy and can really dig in when needed. I've had the lugs get clogged with mud on wet clay, but never have gotten stuck. With any kind of speed the lugs readily clear themselves of mud & gravel. Side walls are quite solid and resist abrasion well.
As for load carrying capacity- the most I've hauled in the pickup bed was 2yds. of gravel (4k lbs, give or take)- they never offered a shimmy. I often haul a gooseneck (10klb.) & horse trailer (5k lb.) and they do great.
What has amazed me about these tires is the tread life! These things have just kept going & going on up to 80k miles and they are still not worn down to the wear bars yet. Honestly I could probably eek out another 5k miles if I had too.
I do wish they were USA made, but whatever. They're just great a tire- and I know my family is safe with them mounted between us and the road.

This is my third set of falkens on 2 different trucks. The first set was when they were first released for sale. They're on my daily driver that sees every condition possible from beach to snow. They are by far and away the best tires I have ever purchased. I'm over 70k miles in these and am just now looking to replace them. Great product best value.

...quiet, reasonable treadwear, good traction on firm/dry surfaces when 4-wheeling...
Pros: quiet, reasonable treadwear, good traction on firm/dry surfaces when 4-wheeling
Cons: very poor performance in winter conditions. No clue how they're scoring so high on average or how the tire earned the peak/snowflake. Was talked into these by the 4WD shop for winter prowess (talked down from BFG KO2s), have had Duratracs and Michelins prior. The Duratracs, while louder, compared to these, were like snow tires compared to street slicks.
These tires break free on wet and snow with very little applied torque. The tread packs with ice or slush and doesn't clear it (same for mud, for that matter). My traction control, limited slip, and ABS are engaging way more than with any tire I've ever driven. Have experience new vs 20k in, deep or shallow, ice or loose, slush or powder. ----s in all of these. Had to buy chains to feel confident driving up the plowed interstate to the ski areas, even with 4WD. What a bummer!
Ran into a friend who put these on his Ram pickup. He has run similar tires as myself in the past. He has the same experience with winter conditions, and he isn't thrilled either.
If you need to drive your 4WD in snow and you prefer not to have to don chains because you're driving up a hill (i.e., not because it's 2' deep), DONT get these tires. Summer wheeling? Fine. Dry pavement all the time? You'll love em.
Meantime I have choice words for the guys at the 4WD shop for talking me out of the more expensive tires I wanted when I went in.
