Firestone FR740 

I guess I'm a lucky one. After reading most of the previous reviews about low-life, noise and other issues, I couldn't believe I was driving the same set of tires. My 215/45R17 came with my 2016 Toyota Corolla. While a lot of my driving was highway, I had quite a bit of city driving in Los Angeles as well. I found the handling at high speeds on freeway transitions to be impressive. Never heard a chirp or squeal. Braking was incredible. Fast and no locking up. I am just now replacing them at 66,960 miles. Tread depth was at 2/32 all the way around. Haven't had a lot of rain here so I kept them past the usual replacement depth of 4/32.

I don't see how people are getting more than 50.000 miles on these tires, my front tires are almost unusable and my back tires still have some room (5.000 miles, my guess), so I just opted to buy new ones, selected the Exhilarate, let's see how it goes. Since the beginning wet performance is been poor, I live in Dallas, TX so whenever it rains, it really rains. Is not just a drizzle, and it's a nightmare going through I-35, 50-55Mph max just to be able to control the car. Pretty disappointed of this set, and it's even more expensive than the Exhilarate.

OEM tires on the Corolla S Plus and S Premium. Absolutely garbage. Noisy, rough, no wet traction and no snow traction. Short lived. Pricey for the subpar results and performance. Dry traction unimpressive. Easily the worst tires I've experienced in nearly twenty years of driving. Anyone praising these is either a shill or has never experienced truly good tires. Try Yokohama Avid Ascend GT for Grand Touring comfort and all-weather performance or Continental Extreme Contact Ultra High Performance All Season tires for highly refined and delightful performance if you live anywhere there's actual weather and want to have some fun. The Conti's are phenomenal.

These tires came on my 2015 Corolla S. I live in Wisconsin and drive in snow. These are HORRIBLE tires in snow, light or heavy. I wanted new tires by the time I hit 20k but decided to hold out as long as I could. At 30k the car would barely go straight through the snow. Luckily the season was almost over and I decided to make them last through the non snow months. I am now getting new tires before this new winter. These are fine for no snow. But definitely don¿t last long. Fine summer tire for the first 20k. Don¿t waste your money on these

I love the car, but these tires provide a very firm harsh ride and very poor traction on wet roads or snow covered roads. With even a dusting of snow traction lessens significantly and requires very careful driving behaviors. Definitely not recommended for driving in anything greater than an inch of snow cover. Traction even on dry roads is acceptable if you drive carefully, but if you've got a heavy foot you'll likely burn through these tires quickly.

Initially, when the tires were new, the ride was acceptable, but the ride becomes increasingly very harsh and noisy as the tread wears. Although I've only worn 50% of the tread life, I'm looking forward to replacing them soon.

I bought a certified preowned 2013 Prius with the Plus Performance package, when they certified the car they installed these brand new Firestones on it. I had the dealer verify that the alignment was correct since I had turned wrenches for 13 years before changing jobs. I knew alignment was key for efficient and proper tread wear. I thought for sure i would get at least 40k out of these tires. I kept up with my service like clock work. I always rotated the tires every 5k, it didnt matter. Let me tell you for what you would pay for these tires you can buy Michelin's for like 10 dollars cheaper per tire! Hands down one of the nosiest tires i have ever owned. Terrible traction, how do i know this? A Prius that peels out in corners, its certainly not the massive amount of power thats causing it. These tires do not grab the road well at all. I do not feel comfortable taking curves at a moderate pace. Wet roads are very sketchy also, my traction light will illuminate frequently. I'm not considered an aggressive driver. I drive to try to achieve that max amount of MPG in my car, therefore I'm not stomping on the gas, running through curves or stopping abruptly. These tires wear out so much faster than they should. The manufacture wont even place a mileage rating on them because they know they are so bad. Long story short, skip over this tire and buy Michelins. That's what I'm buying tomorrow.

These tyres came stock with my 2016 Honda Fit. The tread life performance was quite poor and as the tyres wore down, noise levels increased substantially along with multiple occasions that the car hydroplaned with little ability to steer. While the tyres are new-ish. Overall performance was okay only. Ride was always stiff and road imperfections didn't fit well with the car's stock suspension set up. These tyres are definitely worth about 50 bucks per tyre only.

The FIRESTONE FR740 tires are tires I would NEVER BUY again. Firestone outdid themself on the CHEAPNESS of this tire. It is an OEM brand tire, but it WEARS OUT SUPER FAST!!! I drive very easy, and the tires have a mere 29K on them. They are down to the wear bars. What a waste of resourcs to produce a tire, ship it, have it installed, and then within 30K have to replace it. FYI, there is NOT a mileage warranty, the warranty is if there is a defect down to 2/32" of wear (aka the wear bars) then they will pro-rate the tires remaining value toward new ones. Whoopi! You still get to pay for mounting and balancing, and end up with the same cheap tire again. I always actually like Firestone, but after this set they are off the list completely. The tires ride ok and wore evenly but QUICK WEAROUT, but that is about all the good I can say about them. I think 4 donuts would last longer, and I am not joking on that. TERRIBLE. Did I mention these tires are junk? Firestone, wake up. You just lost a lifelong customer by being cheap. It is amazing to think these cost around $40 more per tire than ones that are far superior to them. JUNK FIRESTONE, I'd be ashamed to sell this product.

These tires came on my 2016 Corolla S new and I have only had it 2 years and with only 2100 miles they are worn out, they are expensive, poor performance and terrible wear, I will replace them with a good Japanese tire like Sumitomo or Falken (made by Sumitomo) both have tread wear rated at 500 not the 260 like the Firestones

These tires came on my 2016 Toyota Corolla S when i bought it new. I have just 26,135 miles on them and i already had to replace them because the tread was down to 4mm. I didn't want to drive on them this winter even though we don't get alot of snow where i live. I replaced them for safety. I have to have good tires because i have a 7 year old grandson who i pick up from school a few days a week so i need good tires. I will never buy Firestone tires for my car. They don't last long enough.
