The Transforce AT is Firestone's Commercial All-Terrain light truck tire developed for the drivers of multipurpose full-sized pickups, vans, sport utility and commercial vehicles looking for heavy-duty light truck tires that can combine traction on the highway, as well as at work jobsites and recreation areas. The Transforce AT is designed to provide on- and off-road traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, including snow.
Transforce AT radials feature a Long Link Carbon tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that uses notched shoulders, independent intermediate tread blocks and multiple sipes to blend dry-road handling with poor weather traction. Wide circumferential grooves provide hydroplaning resistance while lateral grooves and multiple sipes provide the biting edges needed to enhance snow traction.
The tire's structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon to help maintain the tire's shape and enhance performance at highway speeds while a polyester cord body improves ride quality.

Ratings data demonstrates the Firestone Transforce AT excels in dry traction (frequent 9-10 scores) and delivers a comfortable ride with low noise levels, aligning well with its all-terrain purpose. Wet traction shows mixed results (scores 4-8), with some customers noting reduced hydroplaning resistance in heavy rain. Winter performance raises concerns, particularly on ice (common 0-4 scores) and deep snow, highlighting limitations in severe conditions. Treadwear feedback varies widely (0-10 range), with some praising durability while others report premature wear. While not winter-focused, its rugged dry performance and comfort make it a solid choice for commercial/off-road use, though wet and winter conditions warrant cautious driving.

Stock tire on my new truck, 21000 miles almost to wear indicators, almost all miles highway, would never purchase this tire again!! there's a reason there's no treadlife warranty!! Can't believe RAM would install these tires on there new $70000.00 trucks would refuse to buy another new truck with these tires!! Dont waste your money!!

Worst tires I have ever owned. I was talked into these by a salesman on my previous truck. I put about 4000 miles on them and changed to BFGs. The only time in decades of trying to get to work in snow that I wasn't able to was contributed by these tires. Next snow with BFGs, no problem. I bought my current truck and it came with these. I only have a little over 12000 miles on them and they are worn out. Even new they spun on wet pavement. I did not replace them as early as I did before because when it snowed, I left the truck at home and drove our Suburban with Michelins on it because I knew I wouldn't make it to work with the TransForce tires on my truck. I wouldn't take another set of these if Firestone gave me a lifetime supply of these.

Most customers rate ride comfort and noise levels highly, with many scoring 7-10. Positive feedback highlights smooth handling and reduced cabin noise, even in rugged conditions. Some variability exists, but overall satisfaction is strong for this all-terrain tire.

...They ride very well, are quiet and wear evenly...
I have used these tires on both my 2011 F150 and my new 2023 F150. They ride very well, are quiet and wear evenly. In all I have purchased three sets of these. I would recommend them all day long.

...The ride was so much more comfortable, smooth, and quiet it felt like a completely different truck...
This must be the most underrated tire I've ever purchased. They were running a deal on these tires at a local store so I gave them a shot and I am so happy I did. The tires I had on before this set were the bfgoofrich rugged terrain which I now realize were absolutely horrible tires. I drive a 06 Chevy Silverado 2500HD ext cab 8 bed and the bfg tires made my truck ride like a dump truck which I thought was normal due to the 10ply rated tires and HD suspension. When I put the Transforce AT tires on it was like night and day difference. The ride was so much more comfortable, smooth, and quiet it felt like a completely different truck. I own a snow removal business and plow with my silverado. I wasn't expecting much from these tires in the snow due to the ratings on tire rack but I was totally blown away these tires were fantastic in the snow from light slippery roads to knee deep snow no problems at all anywhere plowing all day. I can't speak for longevity yet because I only have about 2500 miles on them so far I love them no complaints at all. I just can't seem to understand why these tires rate so bad on Tirerack, they may not be the best tire out there but so far they have been the best tires I've ever owned.

While some customers rate wet traction highly with 9s and 10s, numerous scores between 0-6 highlight concerns. Reports mention slippery handling, hydroplaning tendencies, and mediocre wet performance, disappointing for an All-Terrain tire designed for rugged conditions.

...I would not buy these tires again as wet traction lightly accelerating is terrible and then corner in just a little bit of slush during the winter will give you feelings you do not want to feel. I have had to become a cautious driver rather than just being comfortable...
The tire rack experience was great. Tires were shipped to my door with many updates and looking everything up online was great and easy. The reviews seemed a little biased and I believed them. I live in Michigan and these tires are not that great for here. I would run them in the summer if I had two sets of tires. But looking at the wear I am guessing I will only get 40,000 at the very max out of these tires if I can even get them that far as we will soon be coming into the winter months. I assumed that these would be a decent tire as some vehicles come from the manufacturer with these tires and I see many commercial units run these tires around town. I would not buy these tires again as wet traction lightly accelerating is terrible and then corner in just a little bit of slush during the winter will give you feelings you do not want to feel. I have had to become a cautious driver rather than just being comfortable. I will not be buying "cheap" tires again as I have learned my lesson.

...Barely any traction in the rain or on wet surfaces... You can get stuck in wet grass with these, and I have...
Dealer replaced some damaged wheels and tires with this factory set. I can NOT believe that RAM puts this garbage on anything. Zero traction in any kind of snow and ice. Barely any traction in the rain or on wet surfaces. They are not worn out so I guess that tread life might be a plus. You can get stuck in wet grass with these, and I have. I thought that it might have just been me and my driving until my wife had to daily my truck for a while. Her complaints were never ending about how bad they were in both winter driving or rainy driving. Definitely not all terrain anything. Maybe an okayish warm weather highway tire. I have never before done any sort of review, but these tires are that bad. I've driven on a ton of different tires over the years from all most every major brand and some minor ones too. I can't say enough about what garbage these are. DO NOT BUY. EVER!!!

These tires were decent the first 30,000 miles. Not horrible, nothing impressive. Until around 40,000 miles, with colder temps ~40F and below they lost all wet wether traction. Towing my 12,000lb trailer, on damp pavement, and the rear tires now lose traction accelerating! Nearly 2000lbs on the rear tires and losing traction with the 6.4 V8. Going to replace these very soon.

Despite some 9-10 ratings, many customers report unacceptable winter traction with scores 0-6. Frequent complaints include slippery in snow, loss of traction, and getting stuck. Not recommended for severe winter use.

...However, they are a downright hazard in any type of winter weather, especially when snow plowing. They constantly slid around, while pushing snow, activating the useless stability control system in my truck, resulting in it getting stuck in a couple inches of snow due to the brakes activating each time it slid however slightly- which I constant with the tires. A couple years ago, after making a pass uphill and stopping at the snowbank, the truck slid backwards with all four wheels locked turning 90? and hit a 4 foot diameter log on the side of the road on the rear quarter...
These tires came stock on my 2019 ram 2500 crew cab that I bought used with 4000 miles in 2020. For most purposes they get the job done driving around town to jobsites, dump run, towing trailers, now only in the summer. However, they are a downright hazard in any type of winter weather, especially when snow plowing. They constantly slid around, while pushing snow, activating the useless stability control system in my truck, resulting in it getting stuck in a couple inches of snow due to the brakes activating each time it slid however slightly- which I constant with the tires. A couple years ago, after making a pass uphill and stopping at the snowbank, the truck slid backwards with all four wheels locked turning 90° and hit a 4 foot diameter log on the side of the road on the rear quarter. $7000 later I had wished I had sprung for a better or (Snow) tire. One expects that a stock tire on 2500 or larger pick up truck could handle any common on-road “truck” driving. My studded master crafts were a game changer plowing snow. I have continued to run these Firestones as summer tire but will be replacing them with something else this year. These tires have approximately 20,000 miles on them, but are significantly worn, though rotated regularly. Obviously, some of the wear was due to trying to get unstuck many times back when I used them in the winter. They have not been used, off-road, and only occasionally on un-maintained dirt roads. They were used regularly on a maintained dirt road. If you never see snow, it is an okay, typical stock tire that rides comfortably, is quiet, and wears quickly.

I read a lot of the reviews of this tire after purchasing my 2024 Ram 3500HO. When I bought my truck new there was snow and ice on the roads and dealer lot. After finishing the paperwork and pulling out to head home the truck wouldn’t move, I had to put it into 4WD to even move. As I very slowly pulled out and onto the street, the truck even in 4WD struggled for any traction. I had to drive a mile to the highway in a small town with narrow roads covered in 4 inches of snow so it was a bit nerve-racking to say the least. Merging onto the highway the tires were just slipping like crazy so I had to merge onto a highway at 25mph with traffic moving much faster, and thankfully the highway was a lot better beyond the black ice in the shade of the mountains and I was able to make the 300 miles home since it was dry and ice free once I was out of the mountains and onto the major highways.
Avoid these tires… believe the reviews, they’re a horrible tire to have on ANY vehicle (let alone a 90k+ HD truck). I legit thought the OpenRange A/T was the worse tire I ever had, these are a million times worse than those!

Treadwear ratings show concerning inconsistency, with many scoring 0-5 citing rapid wear and dissatisfaction, despite some 9s-10s. Premature wear and needing early replacement are common complaints for this all-terrain tire.

...Rear tread depth is down to 10/32 to 11/32" at 7,500 miles. Not exactly great, but it could be worse. The front tires are down to 13/32 to 14/32 which is reasonable if you don't expect to get 60K miles out of these...
I've seen the reviews so I am going to really try and give a non-biased assessment here. First, this is a highway tire and shouldn't be represented as off road capable. On soft wet grass I need 4WD to make sure my tires don't lose traction. Dirt and gravel roads are fair. No complaints on dry pavement, but driving in the rain requires extra attention. If I lived in a region with lots of snow, these tires simply will not suffice.
Half my mileage is towing a 7,000# trailer. As such, the rear tires wear more quickly, but still faster than expected. The good news is load carrying stability is very good. Rear tread depth is down to 10/32 to 11/32" at 7,500 miles. Not exactly great, but it could be worse. The front tires are down to 13/32 to 14/32 which is reasonable if you don't expect to get 60K miles out of these. Wear has been even so far and the front tire edges are wearing normally.
Road noise is relatively quiet with no humming or vibration. The tires hold air pressure very well. I keep mine inflated at RAM's recommended 65 psi unloaded and 70 psi while towing. For E rated tires, I like the tires performance while towing. The sidewalls are strong and I feel confident in the tires ability to carry the load.
Overall the tires are below average at best. The good is the low road noise and confident towing capabilities. The bad is poor traction and tread life. If I drove all highway miles on dry pavement, I would have no complaints, but we all know that isn't the real world. While I don't hate these tires, they are underwhelming. Very overpriced and the advertised performance is wildly overstated. I'm inclined to purchase new tires well before these wear out and certainly with a different brand.

...The tread is pretty much gone by 32,000 miles... The poor tread life and terrible snow traction would keep me from ever buying these again.
These tires came as OEM on my two heavy duty Ram trucks, my previous 2500 gas and my current 3500 Diesel. The tire is a good handling, quiet highway tire on dry roads. That’s about all the good I have to say about them. The tread is pretty much gone by 32,000 miles, they are poor in rain, and terrible in snow. I literally got stuck in 6” of snow on a flat gravel parking lot. Couldn’t hardly move, even in 4-wheel drive and some weight in the back. The poor tread life and terrible snow traction would keep me from ever buying these again.
