The Assurance ComfortDrive is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season tire designed for drivers of sedans, coupes, crossovers, and SUVs looking for a sensibly luxurious tire that delivers a smooth ride and premium noise comfort. Assurance ComfortDrive tires are developed to provide a satisfying grip on dry and wet roads along with confidence in wintry weather conditions, including light snow.

Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive Callouts

The Assurance ComfortDrive features an all-season tread compound that utilizes soybean oil for increased traction without sacrificing fuel economy and tread wear. The symmetric tread design employs Evolving Traction Grooves and TreadLock Technology that yields consistent grip and stability combined with responsive dry handling. The optimized tread pattern is engineered to reduce tread harmonics and airborne noise for a luxuriously quiet ride. Symmetrically balanced AquaChannel Grooves and large, lateral notches help evacuate water from the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance and enhanced wet performance. Large sipes built into the tread blocks increase the biting edges necessary for grip in snowy or icy conditions.

The tire's internal construction features Goodyear's ComfortFlex technology, designed to absorb impacts while providing ultra-refined handling and steering response. A two-ply casing supports twin steel belts, along with a reinforcement cap ply for increased high-speed capabilities.

I have been very pleased with these tires. They have great wet traction in heavy rain (Florida) but are still a quiet tire. I have road tripped them at 90mph for hours and love the ride. I have zero complaints.

One of the best tire performance handling allows grip as car corners on wet like it's on rails. Husband is Import Auto Diagnostician. Drove car for test quite spiritedly. Zero hydroplane compared to Generals on his car. Will be ordering again for our cars. Highly recommend.

Attention Spirited Drivers & Avid Winter Drivers: These are indeed great tires! I just drove about 400 miles in the epic Blizzard of 2022. At times I was driving on 2in sheets of ice on curvy country roads and other times at high speeds on the highway. The tires handled as well as I could ask! I could feel that I was on ice but was in constant control. They brake and respond well, as well as take very sharp short turns well. Im an adventurous driver in all weather conditions so I bought these tires with that in mind. I do a lot of city and highway driving. 2000+ miles in the month Ive opened them. These tires have been great in freezing, wet, snowy, and icy conditions. I got them as opposed to the Blizzacks I've run before to save some money. I even tested them out in a controlled setting to see how they'd respond to hard stops, turns, and acceleration on the snow/ice and they were great. Yes, I control test all of my tires. You should know what your vehicle and its tires are capable of so when you're in a potentially bad situation you can respond accordingly. The only thing I will say is that on the highway they're noisy! Like more noisy than I expected but thats just cause to turn the music up. At least you'll get home safely with some good tunes on!

...The BEST part I love about these tires is their traction and handling on wet or snowy/icy roads. I can power through with confidence that I'm not going to lose the road or end up in a ditch (within reason, I can't expect to stop on a dime in 3" of water or 3" of snow from 35 mph)...

I bought my last pair in 2014 and over 100,000 miles ago. It's about time to get a new set and BOY, have these things been running! The BEST part I love about these tires is their traction and handling on wet or snowy/icy roads. I can power through with confidence that I'm not going to lose the road or end up in a ditch (within reason, I can't expect to stop on a dime in 3" of water or 3" of snow from 35 mph). But, this has come with a definite risk. Because my handling and stopping has basically become superior to my other fellow drivers, I'm now having to worry that they may basically crash into me because they can't stop like I can or handle without lumbering like a 100,000-ton freighter. They are costlier than many other tires and I'm now sensing that they are pretty noisy these days. I'm guessing that they aren't like they used to as they get to the end of their life, I even hydroplaned a little just the other day. But I already know that I need to get replacements soon.

This time around, I'm considering a different tire because I moved to the deep South and it doesn't snow here. They say it occasionally ices up (which basically shuts down the entire region 'cause they don't have equipment and locals don't know how to drive the roads, they actually don't drive well on dry roads either, but that's a different review), but that's it. So I'll basically need a summer tire. So if you desire a tire that manages wet/snowy roads with superiority and you can flex to spend about $20-30 more per tire, this one is IT.

Tires are great . They make a very smooth and quiet ride even at high speeds. The traction is great, I have had zero traction issues even through snow and ice. Responsiveness in dry conditions is great but not near racing or summer tire specs laterally. They are definitely built with a comfortable ride in mind.

...Very comfortable tire with excellent handling and traction in both dry and wet conditions...

Best tire we have had on this older Honda Civic to date. Very comfortable tire with excellent handling and traction in both dry and wet conditions. These tires are holding up well for longevity, I expect to get at least the rated mileage out of them. I recommended these tires to two other friends with similar vehicles and they purchased them and love them as well. These Goodyear Assurance tires do admirable in snowy conditions, for an all-season tire. Granted, they are not winter/snow tires, which would be better in the winter snow and ice, but, they do fine. I recommend these tires.

...In the dry and wet conditions I rate this tire as a 10 because it is the best performing tire I have ever used... The one other feature that is outstanding is there straight forward tracking ability. I find driving on the interstate so enjoyable now because the car just wants to drive straight...

I have always been a summer tire / winter tire abuser in the past. I never thought I would stumble across an all season tire that performed this good. The tires I replaced were Michelin Pilot all seasons that came with this second hand car and I was not disappointed with there performance so I decided to replace them with a fresh set. When I saw the reviews and was offered the rebate on Tire Rack, I decided to give these Good Year Comfort Ride's a try. I only use these tires for summer use so I cannot attest to there performance in snow or ice. In the dry and wet conditions I rate this tire as a 10 because it is the best performing tire I have ever used. Extremely quiet like an 11 on a 1-10 scale. Be cautious driving in someone's blind spot, they will not hear you. The one other feature that is outstanding is there straight forward tracking ability. I find driving on the interstate so enjoyable now because the car just wants to drive straight. No fighting the wheel. I will add, this 2010 Honda Accord has 197 k miles with all original tie rods, ball joints, a-arms, and wheel bearings. My driving experience is 40 years of hooligan when I can. I highly recommend these tires to all drivers, your traveling speeds will increase 10 mph instinctually.

...These Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive's cannot be exaggerated how much they MUTED the road noise... 95% better and I didn't think it was possible. My wife hated driving in my car and when she drove with me first time with new Goodyears, she said 'Wow!' She owns a Lexus and is a bit snooty about silence in cabin and these tires improved my driving experience incredibly.

People of Earth... I kid you not I reviewed what other buyers said on these tires and majority was high praise. It wasn't until I read a review the buyer didn't have to sell his 2018 Honda Accord Touring sedan because these tires made the ride MUCH quieter and comfortable, that I decided to try owning the same car. I cannot tell you how close I was to selling my car because of the cabin noise (long time Honda owner and this car was the loudest driving car I ever owned. I sat in the back seat and it sounded like there was no wheel well, tire noise was so bad. I had OEM Michelin's. These Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive's cannot be exaggerated how much they MUTED the road noise... 95% better and I didn't think it was possible. My wife hated driving in my car and when she drove with me first time with new Goodyears, she said "Wow!" She owns a Lexus and is a bit snooty about silence in cabin and these tires improved my driving experience incredibly. The car drove rough prior and that too is greatly improved. I feel like I have a new car, not having to sell this one that I have low milage, simply because I thought "the car" was loud. People, I guess I never realized TIRES are loud. All I can say is stop reading reviews and buy these if you have issue with loud cabin noise and rough ride. I will also say shopping with TireRack could not be easier. Tires delivered to my dealer in 2 days, and I literally saved $200 on the purchase PLUS TireRack provides the hazard coverage my dealer would have charged me for ontop of the higher priced tires they would have sold me. There is no doubt you save with TireRack and their customer service is so very personable. I received timely updates never guessing where tires were, and they delivered earlier than promised time. I don't review tires usually, but I'm literally feeling like I have a new car with these Goodyears. Who knew what a difference a tire could make on driving experience.

Tires are definitely made for comfort and not much for performance, will definitely get a set for my daily driver as they're extremely comfortable but struggle (on the track) high speed driving and high speed maneuverability but again its not advertised as a performance tire so for what its being advertised as I highly recommend for anyone that wants great comfort and a quiet ride.

I cannot over emphasize how much this tire has SILENCED the road noise never experienced before on Honda Accord with the OEM tires. I was going to sell the car because nobody in family wanted to sit in back. They not only muted that noise but improved the ride. I've never had a tire impact a car I owned this positively and just hope they are available when I need another set, as I drive my cars a long number of miles. If you are dealing with road noise, I see no reason not to make a purchase - - and Tire Rack delivered directly to Honda Dealer so it was like they had them in stock for me (they didn't) and I paid much less than the tires they did have in stock, which were different make. Easy set up with Tire Rack.
