Does this tire fit your vehicle?

Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

The Assurance MaxLife is Goodyear's Standard Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sedans, minivans, crossovers, and coupes looking for a tire to help conserve fuel, prolong tread life and provide all-season traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even light snow.

The symmetric pattern of Assurance MaxLife tires features a continuous center rib for constant rubber-to-road contact and solid on-center feel. The intermediate ribs of the Assurance MaxLife feature Goodyear's Wear Gauge, which provides a visual indication of the tire's remaining tread depth, allowing drivers to continually monitor their tires' condition, instead of simply providing a warning at the end of their life. Notched intermediate ribs and semi-closed shoulders help the Assurance MaxLife track straight on the highway, while providing block edges for grip in wet conditions and, along with the deep circumferential grooves, a path to evacuate water from the contact patch to resist hydroplaning. The all-season compound and multiple sipes help provide confident all-season traction in inclement weather.

The internal construction of the Assurance MaxLife consists of two steel belts supported by a single-ply, polyester casing. A one-ply, polyamide reinforcement aids handling response and delivers high-speed capability.

Great smooth and relatively quiet tires with good wet and snow traction. They are not as quiet as the OEM Bridgestone but they’re not as expensive either.

...Very good traction in snow...

I have these tires on 2 cars - a Rav-4 and an Equinox. Very good traction in snow. They’ve held up well during the spring “pothole” season. Quiet smooth ride, wearing well (ie long lasting as advertised). Cornering is good though I’m not a speedster around corners. Definitely worth the purchase- will buy these again. Tirerack service was excellent.

...I drive AWD but even in 3" of snow they held tight...

Very quiet compared to the Tires that were on it when I bought it. I drive like I need to be there first most of the time and these tires keep up with my lead foot. I drive a mix of country roads, highway and city and I can barely hear them. They stick almost like glue in dry weather. I drive AWD but even in 3" of snow they held tight. I have a long gravel driveway that will definitely not make the wear rating but I will be buying them again when I wear this set out.

I'm at two years with these tire, and quite satisfied. I've rotated regularly every 5K and kept general maintenance up. I've driven through rain, snow, a little off-road on rocks/dirt in Colorado, highway roadtrip, and lots of city/highway driving. With normal city driving, I drive spirited on highways but avoid hard breaking. These tires have held up great so far. Tired traction has been great, I've only slipped on snow/ice from a dead stop, which is expected; they performed fine through light snow once I had some speed. After 15K miles, tires are at 8/8/9/7mm, which I would say is alright.

No screeching or traction loss in corners or sharp curves. I tend to be a little spirited sometimes, so I do notice when a tire has an issue gripping around corners...

No issues at all! The Continental tires that were OE on my Ford Escape were noisier, had less traction (in all conditions), and didn't have as nice of a ride as the Goodyear Assurance Maxlifes do! I drive a mix of city and highway, and also do a few road trips per year in various conditions. I've driven on gravel, snow, rain, ice, and anything else that was in the way. The Goodyears are excellent in all conditions, and handle nicely while still offering a quieter, smooth ride.

On snow, they aren't as great as an actual snow tire, but they are better than average for an all season. I've never had them hydroplane or make me feel unstable in wet conditions. Of course, use common sense when driving in bad weather, but no issues for me. Cornering and handling are great. No screeching or traction loss in corners or sharp curves. I tend to be a little spirited sometimes, so I do notice when a tire has an issue gripping around corners. They also do well with braking in both dry and wet. These have gotten me through slick spots up hills that other vehicles, (including other AWD's and 4x4's) weren't able to get over.

If you have an Escape Titanium with the 19's, get these. So much better than the OE Continentals in all conditions. Even if you don't have the same vehicle, get them. Great all-around tire!

Very comfortable ride which was my first objective along with long life. Tire has more tread depth than most other tires. Like the design as this influences the quietness of the tire. At 72 years old I have had Michelin, Pirelli, and other top of the line tires. Currently this tire may be the best. Kudos to Goodyear for making an excellent tire.

San Diego does not have Winter conditions so could not rate that factor. Will provide information about wet /rain conditions in a few months. Treadwear will be rated after 20,000 miles but expect very good results.
