Most customers rate dry traction highly with scores of 9s and 10s, praising excellent grip. Some lower scores (0-4) indicate isolated concerns.

...Unbelievable grip on dry pavement when outdoor temp > 70°. Never slid under extreme acceleration, braking & cornering. Next-level perfection during summer performance, truely...
Just finished my second set of these in my 2018 Camaro 2SS (non-1LE).
The good: Unbelievable grip on dry pavement when outdoor temp > 70°. Never slid under extreme acceleration, braking & cornering. Next-level perfection during summer performance, truely. Extremely precise steering feel in my Camaro 2SS. Would absolutely buy again. Treadwear was great too, I got 20,000 miles & 6 track days out of these. Also had a prior set of these which got hit with a nail & the run-flat functionality brought great peace-of-mind.
The bad: Horrific wet grip, hydroplanes very easily. I remember having to drive snail-pace slow in the right-most lane whenever it rained any meaningful amount, it was embarrassing. Sometimes I just wouldn't drive. Hard as rocks beneath 70°. A punishing (and hurtful to the vehicle?) experience on imperfect roads.
Summary: They aren't kidding. During summer & under extreme track conditions, these tires kick -------. I'm running the stock wheels 245front/275rear and smoked people running roadcourses (Summit Point, Pocono, NJMP) with 305s or greater. BUT! outside of the racetrack and the height of summer, the drop-off in performance is very noticable. It hurts me knowing how incredible these are, and only getting to feel that peak performance for a short period of time each year. I live in SouthEast PA, and for 3 seasons, these just don't cut it in most standard driving situations.

...In my opinion, they stick very well in dry conditions and I haven't had any tire spin in wet conditions even when I try from a stop!...
These tires came stock on my 2016 Camaro SS. I've read the other reviews and I have to disagree with the negative feedback on them. In my opinion, they stick very well in dry conditions and I haven't had any tire spin in wet conditions even when I try from a stop! But these are performance tires with a lot of rubber touching the ground so why would you expect outstanding wet traction! As far as ride quality goes, the car does ride rough especially over potholes and bumps. But I honestly don't know how much of that can be attributed to the car itself or the tires. I have always been satisfied with Goodyear tires in general and so far these have not disappointed either.

...They hook great for a street tire/run flat.. I drive my car daily, and would put another set on but am going with drag radials...
Other reviews say these tires are horrible in cold/wet situations. This tire isn't made for wet/cold days, but have had no issues in the rain or cold with them and no issues out of them what so ever with my aggressive driving style. I have even gapped a few drag radial'd 5.0's on them from a dig. They hook great for a street tire/run flat.. I drive my car daily, and would put another set on but am going with drag radials. Cold/Wet, who cares? This tire is GREAT for a summer tire, and would drive 1,500 miles across country while raining on them. Great job Goodyear!

...top rated across the board my new PS-4S are softer sidewalls, smoother...
These were OEM Tire on my 2019 CT6V. I wore these out at 14,000 miles, probably could have replaced them at 10-12K but ----ed a bit more value running to 14K miles. My V is parked all winter, so I received two full seasons on the AS-3s. I experienced no tire damage, sidewall or otherwise. Experience in-line with previous Run-On-Flat tires (2009 Corvette 436-Hp); they are hard & wear quickly, but this is a summer only performance tire and they perform very well in category. Some of the other reviews are ridiculous, provide no value, only biased boy racer opinion.
Okay - for replacement I elected to not go with Run-Flats. I selected Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. While no slouch in performance department (top rated across the board) my new PS-4S are much better daily driver tires, softer sidewalls, smoother, and come with 30K mile treadwear, I expect double the life of the OEM AS-3s.
Note to boy racers; dump Corvettes/Camaros and get a 500+Hp sport sedan, you won't regret it and you can take your wife/kid or parents to dinner in the same car (you get the check too).

...Wet grip is poor with hydroplaning starting at about 30mph...
Traction is good not great. Off the line expect little spin; you'll find yourself modulating the throttle to maintain grip. In dry corners grip is, again, good not great. There's no transition from grip to slip, the tires will let go suddenly and struggle to regain grip. Wet grip is poor with hydroplaning starting at about 30mph.
Tread life is good. *Keep in mind these are performance tires. Tread life of 15K to 20K is very good.
As expected, traction drops off quickly after about 45*F, build heat in the tires before doing any performance driving. These tires also struggle to retain heat, so, after a rest of about 30min, they're cold again.
There are better tires for the money. Skip this one.

...In rain these tires are hydroplaning quite a bit so get use to sliding around town...
12,000 miles in on these tires on a 2016 Camaro SS and they have given me some problems in regards to spirited driving. Acceleration on the street from a stop these wheels do not plant when the temp is below 70 degrees. In rain these tires are hydroplaning quite a bit so get use to sliding around town. I also experienced uneven tread wear in the back. I plan to swap to either DWS06's or to the Super Sports soon. These tires are not up to the task of keeping up with this vehicle.

...in the rain be prepared to keep the car under control, with traction control on they still spin and the vehicle goes slightly side ways...
car came with these brand new , other than the fact you can drive with a flat , they ---- , this state has a lot of round abouts or circles to drive thru and you mainly drift thru them because of the poor traction they provide , this is summer driving no rain , in the rain be prepared to keep the car under control , with traction control on they still spin and the vehicle goes slighty side ways , too expensive to do burn outs with , i am old and do not drive aggressive , they are summer only so you are better off buying continental all season high performance then you will not have to change tires for the winter

...The tread ware has been bad. With only 2700 miles on the car the tire both front and rear are showing substantial signs of wear... I'll be lucky to get 6000 miles out of these...
Spirited driving but nothing crazy. Noticed that the tires were very loud from the day I picked up the car with a very annoying slapping noise over bumps. Almost sounded like the tires was flat. Driving in the rain on a hot 90F summer day was sketchy. Ran into the same situation on a cooler 55F day and it was down right scary. Grip goes away suddenly with these tires with no warning. One second you're stuck the next you're sideways with no warning. They make no noise at the limit before letting go.
Tread ware has been bad. With only 2700 miles on the car the tire both front and rear are showing substantial signs of wear. I've had the alignment checked but the dealer said everything is ok. I'll be lucky to get 6000 miles out of these.
There are much better tires on the market. Skip these and look elsewhere for pretty much anything..

the tires were very noisy and did not accept any imperfections very well. at about 10000 miles or wear I noticed that the tires were already mostly gone and I have stretching them out for as long as I can. I most likely will not buy this tire for the next set

This tire looks nice but has been the worse tire I have every purchased. I bought this car brand with with 65 miles on it for Christmas of 2017. With only 16100 miles on it, the tires are already needing replacement. Now I do push it from about 40 to 80 on a regular, paying close attention to not spinning wheels so being generous, I can possible (Really not at all) understand the rear losing tread life, but for the front tires to bald quicker than the back is really unacceptable in a rear wheel vehicle especially under 20000 miles. As you can probably guess, I don't drive the car as a daily driver and have only been caught in the rain 4 times (Yes I'm counting). I don't push the car at all in rain, so hydroplaning is not that big of an issue to me, but what I know is my traction control comes on even with the slightest pedal press going from 10 to about 25 with these tires. I suggest only using them in dry conditions when the temperature is above 70 degrees. I can't believe Chevy put this crap tire on my Fifty Anniversary Edition Camaro.
