Eagle F1 Supercar tires are Goodyear's Max Performance Summer tires developed for the drivers of select performance cars, like the Chevrolet Corvette C-5 Z06, Chrysler 300C SRT and Ford GT. Eagle F1 Supercar tires are designed to emphasize dry road traction and handling. Like all summer tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
Goodyear's warranty states: "Ultra high-performance summer tires are not recommended for winter use, and tread or shoulder cracking on those tires resulting from winter use will not be covered under our warranty."
Eagle F1 Supercar tires feature a high grip Goodyear AAtrax tread compound (the AAtrax name emphasizing that the Eagle F1 Supercar earns the highest "AA" Uniform Tire Quality Grade wet traction rating) molded into a slightly reduced tread depth (just 6/32" to 7/32" of new tread depth on Ford GT tires and 8/32" for Corvette tires) asymmetric tread design that combines large outer shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase initial steering response and cornering stability with a solid center rib to maintain constant road contact and enhance straight-line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves and smaller interior tread and shoulder blocks help water escape from between the tire and the road to maintain wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. The tire's structure includes twin, high-tensile steel belts reinforced with spirally wound Aramid to distribute the vehicle's load across the tire's footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Polyester body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.

Ratings Charts & Reviews Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar
Ratings data demonstrates the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar excels in dry traction, with scores consistently 9-10 for strong grip and precise cornering, aligning with its max performance summer design. Wet traction shows mixed results (scores 3-8), with some customers noting reduced confidence in heavy rain and hydroplaning risks. Comfort receives generally positive feedback (scores 5-9), though a few mention firmness or road noise. Treadwear is a common concern, with many ratings below 5 indicating shorter lifespan expectations. While ideal for dry-focused driving, buyers prioritizing wet performance or long-term durability may need to weigh these trade-offs.

...I have to say these tires STICK to the road on dry days. They give you superior control when they brake lose from a launch or hard cornering under acceleration (drifting), very easy to correct (predictable)...
They are currently installed on the rear of my Mustang Shelby, with the front being a little less wide. I drive on the aggressive side. I have to say these tires STICK to the road on dry days. They give you superior control when they brake lose from a launch or hard cornering under acceleration (drifting), very easy to correct (predictable). The ride is average for this type of tire, my suspension is modified and as a result it is stiff anyway. With the HP that I have I'm careful in the rain anyway, so wet traction is good. I would defiantly buy these again... and I have spare set in the garage.

...I tend to drive aggressively when conditions permit and have been able to give these tires a real workout. Dry traction is excellent as well as responsiveness and predictability.
These tires have proven to be very capable. I tend to drive aggressively when conditions permit and have been able to give these tires a real workout. Dry traction is excellent as well as responsiveness and predictability. Wet traction is not too bad as long as you don't push it too hard. I have yet to hydroplane but I'm very careful when going through standing water anyway. Road noise is actually surprisingly negligible, I hardly even notice it. Overall, I'm quite happy with the way they perform but I may give the Michelin Pilots a try when the time comes to replace them. That said, I wouldn't have any problem going with this tire again.

...Most fun - early morning drive to work with traction control off, nailing the throttle in 1st gear at about 15mph and hanging on through 3rd gear... Although tires slip, they still put the 400-plus horsepower and 400 ft-lbs. to the pavement with substantial grip as your looking at 85-90 mph real quick!...
Impressive tire when dry and probably not the tires fault it has trouble hooking up when wet (due to my heavy right foot). Using reason and common sense when driving in rain pays big dividends. Most fun - early morning drive to work with traction control off, nailing the throttle in 1st gear at about 15mph and hanging on through 3rd gear. No way for a 58-year old to act, but ---- is it fun! Although tires slip, they still put the 400-plus horsepower and 400 ft-lbs. to the pavement with substantial grip as your looking at 85-90 mph real quick! This is my 6th Vette and Ive never had a combination that worked so well right out of the box. First long trip will be to the Z06-Fest at the NCM in July and we may provide another report when the trip is complete.

Customers praise ride comfort with many 9s and 10s, noting smooth handling. Noise levels receive mixed feedback-most rate 7-8, but some report scores as low as 0-3, indicating occasional harshness during aggressive driving.

I drive a stage 3 Roush mustang that is pushing upwards of 500hp with a little help from a few power adders and these tires are just what I was hoping for in traction, control and compfort. As well, these tires are not noisy or loud, unlike the tires from the factory or like I read in a survey...
I read-up on a few surveys of these tires and was a little dicouraged but, I knew GoodYear
made a Quality Tire and decided to give these tires a try anyway. I am completely satisfied. ...Put the original tread Supercars on again this time and noticed immediate improvement in cornering and high speed comfort. Tried the Supercar water evac tread design on the front of Corvette Z06 last time and was never satisfied. Put the original tread Supercars on again this time and noticed immediate improvement in cornering and high speed comfort. German Autobahn driving provides the opportunity to run at over 130 MPH for long distances, and have never felt like the car was loose or short of positive control with these tires on the car. Width does present challenge when water is standing and care must be exercised to avoid hydro-plane as with any wide tire on a light car. Only tire I would buy.

Customers give wet traction scores between 7-10, praising confident handling, but some report lower ratings (0-6) with hydroplaning concerns. As a summer tire, most find wet performance solid, though inconsistent scores suggest variability in real-world conditions.

...But as things changed and I needed to do a little more highway driving, these became an absolute nightmare when it rained. They hydroplaned like no other, and any water on the road made for a white knuckle drive. These tires were a good choice for the car when I bought it as I wanted to have fun. But as things changed and I needed to do a little more highway driving, these became an absolute nightmare when it rained. They hydroplaned like no other, and any water on the road made for a white knuckle drive. I've pulled over a few times and waited storms out just so I could keep going without fear of sliding off the road. Needless to say I'll never buy these tires again. Although If you never intend to take the car out for a long drive or with the chance of rain then these are probably tires for you. Great cornering, and they sure are sticky when its dry.

...The Goodyears are fine in the dry but driving in the rain is like walking on pins and needles. They will hydroplane in a heartbeat. Its embarrassing to have to drive at 35mph or below in the rain while family sedans are passing me.
After 10,000 miles the front tires are almost bald. The rears got 3 nails in them after only 4,000 miles so I replaced the rears with Kumho Ecsta MX. They are very cheap and I have no complaints with them. The Goodyears are fine in the dry but driving in the rain is like walking on pins and needles. They will hydroplane in a heartbeat. ...Also if the road was even damp, there was no traction. And hang on tight if there is standing water on the road, the car would become a giant surfboard!! These tires hydroplane extremely bad...
I mainly drive highway and county roads to work and back home. I utilize cruise control as much as I can to help get better gas milage. These F1 Supercar tires gave out after 15,000 miles for the rears. The fronts were replaced under partial warrenty at 10,000 miles because they showed cords on the outer edge. Still had to pay $98 per tire under the partial warrenty!! Also if the road was even damp, there was no traction. And hang on tight if there is standing water on the road, the car would become a giant surfboard!! These tires hydroplane extremely bad. I replaced with Nitto Invo's, what a difference! Cheaper, better grip, no hyrdoplaning, longer tread life, less road noise, and an ultra cool tread patern.

I have replaced my Eagle F1 Supercar tires twice already and as I just went to get an inspection I found out that I know have to put the third set on (@ $2k total) and I only drive 4,700 miles per year and I'm also an AARP member so I'm not a kid trying to show off. I am averaging 12k to 15k miles for my tires. At the price that I pay, I think that I should get better...

When I question the experts they say "well it's a high performnance tire".....huh!! don't I have to put some real mileage and use on it for that low treadwear timeline. I am moving on to another brand as I think that I have finally learned my lesson. Oh by the way, I did have my alignment checked every six months with nothing being wrong with it.

...At 8500 miles and after taking my car in for annual inspection I was told they will need to be replaced around 10K miles (currently at 3/32 front and 4/32 rear after their 2nd rotation)... there is nothing so impressive about them to warrant another purchase considering the abysmal treadwear.
These were the OEM tires on my Charger. At 8500 miles and after taking my car in for annual inspection I was told they will need to be replaced around 10K miles (currently at 3/32 front and 4/32 rear after their 2nd rotation). While they handle fairly well in good conditions, there is nothing so impressive about them to warrant another purchase considering the abysmal treadwear.

I got 21000 out of the first set and now have 16,000 on the second set. For what they cost I think they should be good for a few more miles... These F1s just dont last. I am close to needing another $1300 set now at 16,000 miles.
I got 21000 out of the first set and now have 16,000 on the second set. For what they cost I think they should be good for a few more miles. Im not a racer, just a spirited driver, which is why I bought the 300C SRT8. I wish there were more manufacturers that made this tire size, I would immediately try another brand. Pirelli is the only other one I have found that makes the size, and I dont want the Pirelli look. These F1s just dont last. I am close to needing another $1300 set now at 16,000 miles.
