...They provide exceptional handling and solid traction on both wet and dry roads...
Based on my driving habits, this tire has performed very well. I only have 8700 miles on them so Ive not noticed any tire wear. They provide exceptional handling and solid traction on both wet and dry roads. The ride is also smooth.
However, the size and weight of the wheels themselves (20 inch chrome) have noticeably reduced the overall fuel mileage.

This tire grips the road AWESOME!!! ... The tires dont squeal or anything they just hook up...
This tire grips the road AWESOME!!! I had to choose "spirited" as a "driving style" when filling out this survey, but it would be more like "keeps my foot in it". There is a interstate interchange that I take every day with a long sweeping left turn, the posted speed limit is 45MPH. I can take that turn at 95MPH with no problem. The tires dont squeal or anything they just hook up. I know that my driving style is aggressive but I would have liked to gey more treadwear out of these tires. I rotated and balanced these tires every 6000 miles, checked and adjusted the air pressure at least once a month and still only got about 20000 of good use out of them. This is a good performance tire but the durability was just not there. The good thing was that even with about 90% tread gone these tires still griped the road good.

...They have great traction on dry and wet pavement. They corner like a dream. I turn as hard as I want and they stick...
I have 184000 miles on my dakota. Goodyear Eagle GT IIs are the only tires I have ever had on it. They have great traction on dry and wet pavement. They corner like a dream. I turn as hard as I want and they stick. I average about 45000 miles per set.

...These stick-go-fast tires have been heaven. Although I only have 1500 miles on them, I think they are likely to continue with superb traction...
WOW, what a tire. After being disappointed with the OEM tires, Michelin XGT VRs, and the first replacements, Yokahama DBS ZRs, I cant think of a better tire for this car. The XGTs and DBSs were both disappointing from the start with traction. Thank ---- for traction control. These stick-go-fast tires have been heaven. Although I only have 1500 miles on them, I think they are likely to continue with superb traction. The real question I have is the noise level. The DBSs were reasonably quiet until about 10,000 miles. They then statred screaming like wild banshees. You couldnt hear passengers in normal conversation. These tires, from the git go have been quiet as a church mouse. Well see after theyre worn. I can highly recommend the Goodyears for sticking to the road and quietness.

These tires make my big truck feel and ride like a sports car. On dry pavement I can go and stop as hard as I want, corner without squealing and do it without feeling every single bump in the road...

Snow and ice havent been a problem at all even though the tread doesnt look like it would do that well, it does. No sliding at all, unless you want to and in the rain it stays on the road and does very well.
To top it all off, it looks good too.

I have never even broke traction with them they grab, squat and lanch ya forward
I got these tires just for summer and down south driving. I have been very pleased with them on my Ranger. I drive in the rain no differently than on dry pavement unlike the people in the south.I am from IN where I am usually driving in the snow for 4-6 months and know what I got pushing my tires. I do not ten to buy these type of tires for my p-up but I wanted something better than the bad ATs I had previous to coming to AL/GA. I have never even broke traction with them they grab, squat and lanch ya forward

...What the GT II gained in ride comfort, less noise and better wet handling it lost to the OEM GT in dry handling and steering response...
I bought this car new with the OEM Eagle GT.
I purchased the Outline White Letter Eagle GT II's for the OEM look.
Overall a decent tire for the price (about half of what an OEM Eagle GT cost in the late '80s). I was suprised at how well balanced they are (two wheels have no weights at all on them). At 30K on the tires, they still ride smooth.
What the GT II gained in ride comfort, less noise and better wet handling it lost to the OEM GT in dry handling and steering response. As mentioned, I've got 30,000 miles on them with at least another 10K to go on the 230,000 mile car. I got 38,000 on the OEM GT's when the car was new.
I'll probably buy again mainly to keep the OEM look on this unmodified 1986 Z28.

...Highway cruising is this tires forte. comfortable ride and great stopping power...
Wrote a long, in depth revie
w but "timed out" so Im not going to do it again. These tires are very good as far as traction and tread wear go. The tread is very sticky and I can really slow down this truck in short order using both feet on the pedal. You have to go the whole way to the floor to actually get lockup and that is a good feeling. Wet traction is excellent when new but drops off as the tires wear. The bad news is that the sidewalls are just too soft for this big a truck. Turn in is not very responsive and you just do not go flat out on high speed corners because you don't want to hit a bump in the middle. Things go bad too fast. Highway cruising is this tires forte. comfortable ride and great stopping power. cornering is out. The last set I bought were only $58 and I couldn't get another tire at near the price. now they are $88 and the Yokahama AVS ST has come down quite a bit and Kumho now has a tire that fits. Might be time for a change. Free piece of advice for SS/T owners. Replace those lame stock shocks for a set of Edelbrock performer IAS shocks. They drastically reduce the body roll on this truck and make for a better ride. (Heck anything would be better than the stock ones anyway!)

Customers praise treadwear with most scoring 9s and 10s, though some note uneven wear or lower durability (scores 0-6). High scores highlight long-lasting performance in all-season use, while lower ratings suggest variability in wear patterns under aggressive driving.

This is the second set of these that Ive owned and Im about to get my third. Outstanding tread life ( over 75,000 miles so far), with 3/32 left.
This is the second set of these that Ive owned and Im about to get my third. Outstanding tread life (over 75,000 miles so far), with 3/32 left. Wet traction could be a little bit better, they sometimes squeal on dry roads but they are extremely hard to beat for the mileage you get out of them and price you have to pay.

...In in snow just make sure you have a tow truck's number handy, I got stuck so many times I just about slashed my own tires!...
I would not recomend these tires to anyone that expects to get around without issues in all the various driving conditions that I've experienced in the Kansas City area. In dry, lateral acceleration they'd grip decently but when cornering because of their weak sidewall they'd let loose WAY too easily and give you no confidence. In wet they like to hydroplane and lateral acceleration flat ----s. In snow just make sure you have a tow truck's number handy, I got stuck so many times I just about slashed my own tires! I bought Cooper Cobra Radial GT's to replace these and fell in love with them. But they dont have them on tire rack or I'd write a review on them as well.

...Plus they have almost no traction in rain. I spun out going around a corner cause they could not get any grip on the road surface due to rain
These tires came on my rims purchased from FORD. I didnt know what they were putting on when i got the rims but went with them and i haft to say these are the poorest made tires ever. I had on that devlopped a impact bubble and they all looked really bad worren so i took it to the shop FORD got the rims and tires from. The shop owner told me that this tires are only going to last 10,000 to 15,000 miles at over a $120 a peice they aint worth it. Plus they have almost to traction in rain. I spun out going around a corner cause they could not get any grip on the road surface due to rain
