The Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat is Goodyear's Grand Touring All-Season self-supporting run-flat tire developed for European sedans and crossover vehicles. Featuring Goodyear's self-supporting RunOnFlat technology, these tires provide temporary mobility even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat tires are also designed to deliver all-season traction, even in light snow.
Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat tires have a symmetric, independent tread block design featuring computer-optimized block sizes to minimize tread noise for a quiet ride. Wide circumferential channels help evacuate water from beneath the contact patch to enhance wet traction while sipes provide hundreds of biting edges for traction in light snow. The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced by nylon (varies depending on size and speed requirements) for strength and high-speed durability. The tire's reinforced sidewalls are capable of temporarily supporting the weight of the vehicle even after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure.
NOTE: RunOnFlat tires are only recommended for vehicles that are originally equipped with self-supporting run-flat tires and equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system.
Though they cannot be labeled as run-flat tires, tires branded with MOExtended or MOE on their sidewalls offer run-flat-like characteristics by delivering limited temporary extended mobility after a puncture results in complete loss of air pressure. Because MOExtended or MOE tires do not have the same speed and distance endurance of conventional run-flat tires, they should not be substituted in any situation where a conventional run-flat tire is required.

Feedback patterns show the Goodyear Eagle LS-2 RunOnFlat delivers strong dry traction (8-10 ratings) and reliable wet grip (7-8 range), aligning well with its Grand Touring All-Season role. However, comfort receives mixed feedback, with some noting excessive road noise and harshness. Treadwear scores vary widely (1-10), suggesting inconsistent longevity experiences. Winter traction struggles, with frequent low scores (0-4) for ice and deep snow performance. While dry handling and steering responsiveness earn consistent praise, the tire's ride quality and winter capabilities may disappoint drivers prioritizing refinement or severe-weather confidence. Its strongest appeal lies in predictable dry/wet performance for all-season touring use.

...I've been very pleased with wet handling (particularly heavy rain at highway speeds), decent corning and most pleased with tread life...
I have a 2011 BMW 535i with Goodyear Eagle LS-2 245/45/18 Run Flats. After 36k, it's time for new tires. I've been very pleased with wet handling (particularly heavy rain at highway speeds), decent corning and most pleased with tread life. Unusual for me to get 36k out of a set of tires with my driving style. I'm amazed at the negative reviews. I try to avoid pot holes but hit them all the time. Never had an issue with sidewall blisters/bubbles. This may be limited to super-low profile 19" tires? All run-flats in this size are quite expensive... I've been very pleased with mine.

...I have driven up to 110 and in endless thunderstorms of heavy rain without any worries...
These came with my 2017 X3 SUV and replacing them at 40K miles. Since they are on clearance you can't beat the price and I have never had a problem with them. I have driven up to 110 and in endless thunderstorms of heavy rain without any worries. If they were $300 each or so then may consider other tires depending on mileage reviews but for overall performance they have been fine for me.

we took delivery in Munich under euro delivery and drove 2,000 miles autobahn at over 110MPH as well as very tight turns in Tuscany at speed. Tires are great. No hydroplaning in downpour. they are quiet too. I've done 5,000 miles since and tires continue to be fantastic.

...I tend to drive my car very hard and these tires did OK... Dry/Wet performance seems to be unaffected for now...
Overall decent run flat tire. I tend to drive my car very hard and these tires did OK. I'm moving to non run-flat tires with seperate winter/summer sets. These tires have 7/32 front tread and 5/32 rear tread. They were never rotated, because according to BMW they don't have to be, but you should rotate them. They have greatly diminished in snow traction over the tire life. When I first bought them they had great snow traction, especially being on a lightweight rear wheel drive car. I had to switch to actual snow tires this year because I felt so unsafe. Dry/Wet performance seems to be unaffected for now. I would recommend if you have these tires already keep them until 6/32 in snow or 4/32 in summer and then switch to a different tire next time.

...These tires are garbage!!! I have damaged 2 tires so far just by hitting small potholes on the highway...
I leased a 2014 550xi with M-sport and dynamic handling back in August of 2014. This tire is the OEM standard on all the 5-series BMW. These tires are garbage!!! I have damaged 2 tires so far just by hitting small potholes on the highway. Irrelevant of the pressure, and how caring I have been towards maintaining the pressure, these tires will pop from basically any small bump or pothole. I am so frustrated with the whole experience, considering these are $550/tire at the dealer. Garbage tire! Stay away, and consider yourself warned!

...Drove home from the dealer in the snow and after reading a lot about the horrific reviews of these tires online, went and replaced them with Blizzaks the next day...
These tires are rubbish. I picked up a demo 535 M-Sport (x-Drive) that had 11,000 miles on it. Dealer had fitted new LS2's. Drove home from the dealer in the snow and after reading a lot about the horrific reviews of these tires online, went and replaced them with Blizzaks the next day. I dont think I did more than a 100 miles on them, but are a woeful tire and BMW should never have allowed them to be fitted.
I run 2 sets of tires and wheels for my 535. Blizzaks in the winter (bullet proof tire, absolutely flawless) and Michelin Pilot Super Sport in Summer.

...Poor ride quality and traction, poor wear, terrible in snow... I live in MI so good traction in snow is important and I really don't want to mess with separate winter tires...
These came as the OEM tire on my BMW X3 which I purchased as a CPO. The tires were new when I bought the car and what BMW uses as OEM. These are just really awful tires. Poor ride quality and traction, poor wear, terrible in snow. It is really hard for me to understand why BMW uses such lousy tires for OEM. Do they even test these tires? I live in MI so good traction in snow is important and I really don't want to mess with separate winter tires. Fortunately I have found a great all-season tire in the VREDESTEIN QUATRAC PRO. I highly recommend those for all-season tires in winter climates.

Worst tire i ever had. Period. They came stock on my vehicle. There were no good traits about these tires.. Harsh terrible ride, little traction. And wore out faster than any tire i have ever owned and they were not pushed or abused. I had rotations done once or twice a year as well. Will definately be switching to non-runflats as well.

...The tires ride so loudly and harsh, its like they are made of iron...
This is a terrible tire! The tires ride so loudly and harsh, its like they are made of iron. I have had the misfortune of hitting a few potholes (no more or worse than in my previous BMWs) and the tires develop huge bubbles that compromise the safety of the vehicle, according to the dealership. So... I have replaced two tires at less than 5K miles. The dealership has informed me that BMW is looking into the problem as they are overwhelmed with complaints about this tire. I am really starting to question the benefits of Run Flat tires, what is the point if they bubble and need to be replaced every few thousand miles and ride so terribly?

Am replacing these mediocre tires with a set of Pirelli Cinturato P7's. Underwhelming all-around performance...noisy/marginal ride comfort..and extremely expensive to boot. Looks like most other posts are reflecting their dislike for these tires as well.

...My only problem was tread wearing out (OEM tires) after 27500...
I did not have any blistering problems. My only problem was tread wearing out (OEM tires) after 27500. I found these to be rather harsh riding around town, but very nice handling at high speeds and curvy roads. I replaced these with Conti SSR, which were much softer riding around town, but far less confident on curvy roads or high speeds....which made me appreciate the LS2s. If I had to buy again it would depend which type of driving I planned to do mostly.

...So far at 15,000 miles 3 out of 4 tires have had sidewall failure needing replacement... My driving habits are not extreme, routine suburban driving...
These are absolutely the worse tires I have ever owned. So far at 15,000 miles 3 out of 4 tires have had sidewall failure needing replacement. Ride is poor/hard noise is much worse than similar tires on other BMWs I have owned. My driving habits are not extreme, routine suburban driving. Bmw should be ashamed to mount these weak-walled tires on any of their cars!
These tires have such poor reliability that they should be recalled and replaced as a risk to the driver of the car they are mounted on!

...There was no uneven tread wear, and they would have lasted around 35k miles in mixed city/hwy driving...
First off, the negatives have been said many times before. These things are rolling concrete. Many ultra high performance summer tires are significantly softer. Many runflats are also softer. You can feel every crack and tar strip in the road. The ride is very stiff and brittle. That said, there were some positives... They rolled true thru 20k miles without vibration. They balanced easily. They weren't terribly noisy. The steering response is immediate, and tracking is very stable. There was no uneven tread wear, and they would have lasted around 35k miles in mixed city/hwy driving. In crosswinds, the stiff sidewall gives stability to the car, so it really doesn't wander much at all. Overall levels of grip are good but not outstanding in dry or wet. When new they had outstanding hydroplaning resistance. I switched to the Continental DWS06, which is quieter, but not drastically so. The Continental does not have the steering response or directional stability of the LS2, but it rides one heck of a lot softer, and the overall grip is still appropriate for the car. I'd call the DWS06 a good all around grand touring tire, with an edge towards snow, and a slow response that is a bit loose. Overall, on the LS2, I wouldn't recommend it, but it was not horrible. I did not have any issues with the sidewalls bubbling like many have had.
