Goodyear ElectricDrive2 

The last time I reviewed this tire was soon after I purchased it. I was interested to see if noise was an issue since several reviewers said it was. It was not for my Kia Niro EV. This tire was designed to reduce noise. I have now driven it in wet conditions and found it to be an excellent rain tire. Very predictable. Good steering feel. But, as noted, we use this vehicle mostly to run errands around town and only seldom take it on long trips. And the longer trips we have taken, have all been on dry pavement.

I replaced replaced my original tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S w/about 44k miles on it. 255/35/21 & 275/35/21). Preparing to go on a long road trip I decided to go ahead and replaced all four tires to be safe. I have been doing research for about a month and always came back to the Good Year Electric Drive 2. I live in city driving about 60% highway but rest in busy not well help city roads. I saw immediate impact on how quiet the tires were on the hwy and how it observed rough roads in city. I am very pleased with them so far and happy with my choice selection. I haven’t seen much if any loss/gain of miles due to outdoor weather can’t make up its mind. I constantly check tire psi and have aligned every 5k miles (previous tires). The fill the rim better than the oem. Rain I didn’t see much difference nor with braking/acceleration. I don’t drive like a maniac and i adjust my driving style due to weather, road conditions and mainly drive conservative. I would recommend the tires. Price was reasonable too. Will update after my road trip coming up next week.

Only had them on a couple thousand miles but so far they've been great in the heavy downpours we get in SETX and they're quiet as can be. If they don't change drastically I'd definitely buy them again.

The jury is still out, no problem in recent cold rain but we've had no snow to speak of and I'm curious to see how they do in a Minnesota winter. The ride is reasonably smooth and quiet and I have not seen much( if any) reduction in range which I particularly care about,,,so that's good. There is no vibration as yet at highway speeds so I'd have to say so far, so good.

They are quiet compared to other tires used on my Prius. Prius is a loud car with any tire I've tried. This is my second set of ElectricDrive2 on 2 different Prius V's (that's the longer model, 5-door wagon, and it's taller than other P's) and the tread wear is impressive. Wifes rolled on our first pair for 15 months--I don't drive it much so didn't get a chance to check wet conditions. Drove on some dirt roads last winter, snow covered but not wet, too cold, so it was packed snow. I liked the performance there, no complaints, no noticeable under-performance. Hydraulic drive train gives P a feel that is more stable than my All-wheel and 2-wheel drive rigs. Have to repeat that these tires are wearing nicely. Got an alignment with latest pair, put the new set on the rear.

All the Prius' I've owned over the last 20 years require low profile tires. Low profile tires are generally noisy and cause a bumpier ride than taller ones. I wouldn't use them if there was any option for a taller sidewall.
The ride on these Goodyears is noticably quieter than the Conti's Yokos and and 2 or 3 other makes I've tried.
The wear is what I expect from Goodyear; I usually get 2 years on a set. I think the "softer" material of their tread wears faster but it also improves the dry traction and makes for a quieter ride.
As I expect with Goodyears, the dry traction is great. Prius and other E.V./hybrids aren't known for great handling in snow and rain; the low profile causes some of that. I rate these GY's a bit better than others. But maybe it's because the weather has been milder here over the last 2 or 3 years; not as many consecutive days below freezing when compared to a decade ago.
Bottom line, I like these GY ElectricDrive2 more than any others I've tried on my Prius's.

Much better traction, smoother ride and quieter than OEM brand.

Noise level very minimal as compared to factory stocked tires. Excellent traction on dry surface and feels like the tires has a good grip on the road. Ice traction not great but snow and deep snow excellent.

These are the quietest, most comfortable, weather-capable tires I've ever owned. They also reduced my range by about 10%, dropping me from an average of 3.6 mi/kWh on my previous Hankook Kinergy ASX EVs to 3.3 on these. Since I charge at home and usually just do city or local highway driving, I can overlook it, even when on a road trip since that's only once or twice a year, but my amount of stops between Tampa Bay and Philadelphia has increased from six stops one way to nine.

They are not as energy efficient as they claim on the sidewalls, but if you can overlook/deal with that, they are a fantastic buy! Just be prepared for that big issue.

Being a new tire, there was a dearth of information and reviews for this tire. Most of what I could find, however, was mixed-to-negative, largely based on speculation, not real-world testing. I took a chance when I ordered these tires, relying on my engineering background and knowledge of the R&D behind this design. I'm just 1000 miles in, but my initial reactions are: (1) this is the quietest, most comfortable EV tire I have ever used (and I've used several Tesla OEM tires from Continental and others), and (2) its definitely not as grippy as a Primacy, but the difference is truly only meaningful in emergency situations, or roads frequently experiencing wet/slippery conditions.

I'll continue updating as I pile up the miles. So far, highly recommmended!

I had version 1 of these tires on my Model Y and now trying the v2 on my Model S. Overall I can say they are quieter than the OEM Pirelli tires. Havnet had them long enough to judge wet handling but so far they feen good.

Good tire. Wear is less than other ev rated tires

Great replacement for the OEM tires. Much quieter than OEM and the treadwear appears to be better than OEM so far too. Still a very stiff ride with the 21" rims and Model Y performance suspension. Very happy with the purchase.

This is third set of tires on my Tesla Model 3. It wears tires fast. This is the best set so far in terms of ride and tire-pavement noise. I hope they last longer than the 40,000 miles I got on the first two sets.
