...no issues in the rain...

These are the best tires for the money, period. Towed my 6000+# boat for over 4k miles. No noise, ride is great, no issues in the rain, aggressive tread - Nothing left to be desired here.

Great tires! I have had none of the grip problems other people say they had during rain or snow. With my old Explorer with Firestones I could easily spin the wheels if I used aggressive acceleration when wet. I cannot with these tires. Last winter we had a lot of snow for VA, and these got me through it all. I go up and down a lot of large hills to get to work, and even with snow or slush, I had no problem driving even though there were plenty of other cars and pickups that werent able to make it. My moms BMW X5 got stuck in my flat driveway, and I had to pull her out with my Explorer with no slippage on the same sand-like ice pellets. Very satisfied.

...Ive never been stuck in any situation with these tires including in mud, sandy beaches, and wet grass...

Im curious about the very different responses folks have had to this tire. Ive had great satisfaction with these tires. They are oem, LT rated, and have done everything Ive asked them to do. Ive had them on glare, unsanded icey roads and gotten around amazingly well. Uphill to the ski slopes same thing. Was able to park in the "chains only lot at one resort after convincing the grouchy old guy directing traffic that Id have no problem while others were getting sideways climbing the icy road to it. Ive never been stuck in any situation with these tires including mud, sandy beaches, and wet grass. I work in house construction and recently backed up a 20 degree, muddy, offcamber hillside to get near the house I was working on and did fine even after the suface got "churned-up". My truck has the factory limited slip diff and the part time 4wd (manual shift) set-up. It weighs 5200 lbs empty. I tow a 5000 lb trailer in 100 degree weather aproximatly 500 miles a year. Ive rotated the tires at about 10k since new. Tey hav 43,000 miles and 1/4" tread depth in the middle with even wear. Im planning on buying a new set (even though they arent cheap) because Ive been so happy with them and because the spare is brand new, never used so Im only buying three. If I had to buy four I might be looking for a less expensive alternative but they would have to be as good as these tires that Ive come to be so confident in. Frankly I cant see why others are complaining about them so vigorously. I wonder if it could be that the LT (Light Truck) versions are a better quality or something. Or maybe they work best on heavy vehicles ( more than 5000 lb, not your avg Toyota or Explorer). Any way, this has been a long rave but its the real deal in my case.

These tires came on my truck and are the best truck tires I've had. They have 6/32" left on them now(63K miles), but I'll replace them before the snow flies on the mountain passes. The passes are what impressed me the most as they are very stable on compact snow and ice even as you drop or gain altitude and hit that beginning to freeze phase. I had the tires siped which improves ice traction and wear mileage, but I do that to all my tires. Cupping can be a problem late in the life of siped tires but these have been better than most. I rotate them about every 10-15K miles or the cupping noise gets too loud. Have had them on gravel numerous times but not much severe off road where an LT tire is better.

...I live in SD and we have had some harsher than normal winters the last couple years. I have never once been without traction going through deep snow or slick snow packed roads...

This has been a great set of tires. I bought this truck with 41,000 and the dealer put these new tires on for me as part of the deal. I live in SD and we have had some harsher than normal winters the last couple years. I have never once been without traction going through deep snow or slick snow packed roads. They have done very well when i go hunting and need to drive on some back trails. I would say that as these tires have worn they have picked up a little more road noise when i'm on the interstate but it is not annoying by any means. I have 35,000 mils roughly on this set and i can probably get 20,000 t0 25,000 more if i want to push it. I should get through this winter just fine but next winter i might need some new tires. I will most likely put another set of wanger ats tires on my F150 when it needs them.

...These tires are great on dry pavement... In 4wd rallycrosses, the tires pull the vehicle through the course quite well without much effort...

I use the S-10 and the tires mainly on road rallys and grass/dirt rallycrosses with the local SCCA folks. These tires are great on wet a dry pavement. When setting up and running rallys, there are many times when I pull off the road in various conditions (mud, rocks, pebbles, grass, dirt, etc). These tires have always pulled me out (in 4wd mode of course) without spinning the tires (and destroying my route measurements). In 4wd rallycrosses, the tires pull the vehicle through the course quite well without much effort. Tread wear is not great, but then I drive rather aggressive on back roads. That and 93 S-10s are known for weak front-ends that cause abnormal tire wear. Road noise? Who cares ... theyre great tires!

...They are sticky as glue on road...

Im not sure what the fuss is about in some of the comments I read before purchasing these tires? I think theyre the greatest thing since buttered bread! I almost didnt buy them after reading about the noise and balance issues? I did have a hard time deciding between these and the MT/Rs that come standard on the Jeep Rubicon, but Im glad I chose these. The reason being is that I put a lot of highway miles (in addition to trail/offroading) on my slightly modified Wrangler. These tires have lived up to and exceeded in some cases the claims made by the Goodyear Marketing people. They are sticky as glue on road, and provide unbelievable traction off road in mud and on wet surfaces. I only wish that it would snow again, so I could try them out in some unplowed terrain! I also cant comment yet on treadwear, but if theyre half as good as the life I got out of my last set of Wranglers, Ill be satisfied. As far as balance and noise, no problems yet. In fact after reading some of the comments about noise, I swear I must have been reading about a different tire, as these are quieter than my last set? Most of the guys complaining were driving trucks, too? Hey guys they are trucks, in case you havent forgotten. Maybe they should trade theyre trucks in on a Lexus, if thats the noise thats bothering them? Anyway thats my 2C.

These tires came on my 06 f 250 super crew 4x4.They look nice and the cornering without breaking lose is wonderful, These tires grip real nice starting and stopping, But I have paid 1200 dollarsto go 26555 miles.Thats just crazy.I figured to get at least 40,000 miles on them, but now with 44500 its time to purchase another set on.I thought I would have at least 75,000 miles before it was time time to buy the second set. If you could make it a 40 to 50 thousand mile tire I would buy another set in the morning and make my friends by a set of them too! Just so you know I rotate my tires every 5 to 7 thousand mile, they wear evenly from one side to the other, they look just like new minus the tread on them. Save a customer please!!!!!!!! Mike

...First impressions on the new Tires when it was all new was that it rode and was quiet as a Cadillac. 60k Later and it still does...

These came on my new 2015 GMC Sierra and they just crossed 60k along with the truck. First impressions on the new Tires when it was all new was that it rode and was quiet as a Cadillac. 60k Later and it still does. Im not to the wear lines yet but being from upstate central New York I want to replace them before the snow fly's again in a couple months. I do mixed driving Because I live in upstate central new york. Even highway driving can get interesting here in the winter. On the highway and in towing I have had ZERO issues with these tires getting grip or being comfortable on good dry roads and highways EVER. Only in the last couple thousand miles had I noticed a slip or two on wet roads with 60,000 miles on them. I needed to get to the hospital for my ankle in the middle of a blizzard last winter when we got 4 ft inside of 12 hours. It was insane! But I got there AND Back about 40 miles round trip in the worst of whiteout conditions with snow falling at a rate of 6-8 inches an hour. It was straight up nuts. Cars, Trucks Tractor trailers everywhere were all in ditches off the road and stuck in the middle of the road because the snow was so deep they were bottoming out and I crawled through. Last spring we had some major storms come through with severe flash flooding that I had to get through to get a Horse Trailer and re-locate some horses. I against my better judgement drove it through plenty of flooding roadways and in two cases freaking raging rapids going across the road. I got there and with these tires with somewhere between 45-50 thousand miles on them. I read a lot of poor reviews on these tires and I am perplexed at how they can be so all over the place. I can only assume that because you have a vehicle that ----s in bad weather doesn't mean the tires do. I have not one bad thing to say about them as they have performed better than any other tire I have ever had on anything. I would be an idiot to replace them with something else after this.

I bought this tire because it is a TPC spec tire for my GM truck. I wanted to get back to a baseline with ride/noise so I wanted a GM TPC spec tire. I can say without hesitation that this is the smoothest riding tire I've ever had on this vehicle. GM dealers have mandatory purchase high end pre-calibrated Hunter Road Force balancers. Maybe that is why its so smooth. I have had luck with this tire in mud (hunting) and light snow. For the price and comfort you can't go wrong.

As the original owner (92k in 6 years) I have rotated the tires every 6 months while maintaining proper inflation and alignment. I expected 60k (with perfect maintenance)from the tires but have been pleasantly surprised to be at 92k. There are probably better / more expensive tires on the market but I can't throw dirt at Goodyear. This tire has transported my family through ski vacations to school car pools. You may get what you pay for but if you take care of what you have it just might surprise you. Love the durability and value for the $. Note: this is not the quietest / most comfortable tire on the market but I'm glad I had them with 4 kids in the rain / snow.

Went 50,000 on my first set, bought them again for a second round. I've had BFGs on my trucks forever but actually like this tire better for wear, no difference in performance either. Connecticut winters and these are great in the snow. Rain performance is great and dry is same. This is my second set of Goodyears EVER and I'll continue to buy based on the quality I've experienced.
