On-Road All-Terrain tires are for drivers who want a combination of focused on-road refinement, with some light off-road capability and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. On-Road All-Terrain tires -may be- branded with the M+S and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbols are sometimes used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on light-duty 4WD trucks, crossovers and sport utility vehicles.
O.E. On-Road All-Terrain light truck tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four, or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the 3PMSF provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

Ratings highlight excellence in treadwear and comfort, with many customers noting long-lasting performance (8-10 scores) and a smooth, quiet ride. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with some drivers reporting challenges in icy conditions (scores as low as 0-3). Wet traction earns consistent praise for reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance (7-10 range), while dry traction stands out as a strength with near-perfect scores (9-10) for confident handling and stability. As a highway-focused all-season tire, it delivers strong everyday performance in its intended conditions, though buyers prioritizing winter capability may want to consider supplemental solutions for severe cold-weather driving.

I drive city/highway but dry and wet traction is excellent and traction in light snow is good...
I replaced Wrangler SRAs with Fortitudes. Surprised to see others write negative reviews as these have been fantastic tires. I currently have 57,544 miles on them and it appears they will go another 15,000 to 20,000 miles. Treadwear has been very even. I rotate around every other oil change. I drive city/highway but dry and wet traction is excellent and traction in light snow is good. I give them two thumbs up.

Decent tire all round especially when new. At 60k snow traction is terrible. 4 wheel drive is a must in snow conditions. Expect to get another 10 -15k out of this set of tires. But will not drive them thru another winter. Wet traction is still very good.

...On the other hand, wet traction and hydroplane resistance are well above average...
The loudest non-mud terrain tire Ive ever experienced. Definitely louder than most all terrains, and these are just highway tires. Truck needs steering correction CONSTANTLY now to keep in lane (yes, they are all aired to proper psi). Surprised I havent been pulled over under suspicion of being drunk or texting yet, not even kidding. Super annoying. On the other hand, wet traction and hydroplane resistance are well above average. Snow performance is excellent. I drive 50 miles each way to work and the roads were snow/ice covered for a week straight (curvy 50mph back roads) and I had zero issues in a 2WD pickup with sketchy traction control. Took a ton of weights to balance, treadwear seems good so far. Even with its pros, I would not buy these again unless they were like $100/tire.

...Excellent dry traction...
.Overall, a good 3 season tire. At 29k I have about 1/2 of the original tread left. Rides very quiet on highway. Excellent dry traction. Good wet traction. Not too good in the winter. I would not run these tires in a New England winter.

...These Goodyear Fortitudes are hands down the best tires I've ever seen in every category...
I've owned a lot of cars and trucks (more than 60) and that means a lot of tires. These Goodyear Fortitudes are hands down the best tires I've ever seen in every category. Only in the deepest snow could I want more but then these are not snow tires . BTW, I did not order 4x4 on my truck. Absolutely I will buy these tires again. Thank you Goodyear and thank you GMC for choosing them for my truck.

...they are comfortable, quiet, and offer excellent traction in all conditions that I have encountered ( snow, rain, etc, haven't done any off roading so can't say there)...
oem tire on my '15 ford f150 , I was deeply sorry to see that ford put goodyear tires on the f 150s, I expected to replace them with michelins @ several thousand miles and give them to someone that I don't like... Shockingly, these have been great tires so far, they are comfortable, quiet, and offer excellent traction in all conditions that I have encountered ( snow, rain, etc, haven't done any off roading so can't say there) I just turned 10,000 miles and so far tread wear is excelllent, and tire performance is the same as new.
I am very curious to see how these tires continue to perform with more miles and will update this review(if I can remember). So far these have been excellent, though.

...Tires are much quieter than I thought they would be and are VERY smooth...
Original equip on my 2016 2wd Colorado Z71. Was concerned when I saw GY's on the truck since I have never been a big fan. Now I am pleasantly surprised. Tires are much quieter than I thought they would be and are VERY smooth. Can't comment on treadwear yet but will as the miles accrue. So far very pleased.

...Comfortable riding tire, absorbs bumps, expansion joints, and uneven pavementvery well. Very quiet even at freeway speeds...
These are the OEM tires on my base model GMC Canyon, and the first set of Goodyear tires I have had on any vehicle. So far I am satisfied with the tires after 1,000 miles, and would recommend them to drivers who want a quiet, comfortable riding tire with the ability to confidently tackle the occasional dirt/gravel road in dry conditions. As others have commented, this is a highway tire with a bit more aggressive tread pattern--I would describe it as the truck version of Goodyear's Assurance model.
What I Like: - Comfortable riding tire, absorbs bumps , expansion joints, and uneven pavement very well. - Very quiet even at freeway speeds. - Excellent fuel economy; while I am a conservative driver, I am consistently beating the EPA estimates by 3-4 mpg city and highway. - Good dry weather traction, and handles dirt and gravel roads better than a traditional highway tire. - Aesthetically pleasing look; the tire looks like it belongs on the truck. Several new truck models today come with awkward looking or unsightly OEM tires.
What I Would Improve: - Substantial body roll during cornering. Part of this issue is the truck itself, and part of it is the larger sidewall of the tire. However, despite the reasonable weight of the truck and large relative width of the tire, they do not inspire confidence in corners. - Mediocre wet weather traction; not as good as other tires I have had in the past, but certainly not the worst either. - Hydroplaning resistance; I suspect much of this stems from the fact that the Canyon is lighter than my prior F150, but regardless, the tire does not inspire a lot of confidence when I see puddles ahead of me.
As I have only had the tires for just over 1,000 miles, there are many variables I cannot comment on, and I will update this post at 25-30 k miles. So far the tires are solid on the highway and on dry dirt/gravel roads, and leave a bit to be desired in wet conditions.

Oh boy, these tires are so quiet and smooth. Great shoulder lugs with great sippings for superior cornering traction and handling in wet and dry weather conditions. Very sporty and responsive steering feedback. Offers great interaction with the driver. It organically connects with the driver in confidence. It's soft and strategically engineered center rib provides maximum comfort and steering response on the highway and city driving. This isn't a 3PMS rated tire but will provide good traction on untreated roads in light and deep snow. It's good on ice and slush as well. Very efficient on fuel. Treadwell is rated very high as well, so this will safe money in time for everyone. This tire just tracks so well and offers so much grip overall. I drive my truck for work and personal use. Travelling through various terrains ranging from easy to difficult. Hills, mountains, highways, city roads, washboard roads, unevenly paved roads, gravel roads, downtown streets, ABSOLUTELY a champ in all weather conditions. It handles very sporty and well in small tight spaces as well. I ocasionally tow old vehicles with a trailer and these tires perform SUPERB. It provides such a high level of comfort, I look forward to buying my next set!

I bought these tires in October of 2015 and replaced them after 92,000 miles. I probably could have easily gotten another 5,000+ but chose not to. These have been the absolute best all around tires I have ever owned. They wore evenly and performed great. I highly recommend them.

I am on my second set of these tires. I drove on the OEM set for 96,000 miles and they probably had at least another 10,000 in them to get down to the wear bars when I changed to current set which have 84,000 on them with 7/32 tread still left. When you spend as much time as I do on interstate, you really appreciate the longevity of these tires.

...The dry traction isn't very good, the wet traction is absolutely horrible along with snow traction...
This is one of the worst tires I have ever had on a vehicle. The dry traction isn't very good, the wet traction is absolutely horrible along with snow traction. They also do not seem to want to hold a balance. Avoid these, there are better options and if you are unfortunate enough to have these come on your vehicle from the factory, do yourself a favor and replace them.

At around 25,000 miles, lots of spin on wet starts, beginning to have sporadic spin on dry starts too. Even when new, this tire set was one of the worst I've ever had for winter weather. Ford puts the Hankook Dynapro ATM on their 20" wheels. They should have been putting it on all of them. I had them on my last truck ('04) and they were one of the best tires I've ever had.

...The tires were brand new but ice and snow traction was horrible... I used to be a Good Year fan but these tires are junk for anywhere that gets snow.
They came on my truck when I bought it. The tires were brand new but ice and snow traction was horrible. Wet traction is marginal. They also squeal super easy. I am not sure why but I can take a regular corner and it sounds like I am burning rubber, just horrible. I used to be a Good Year fan but these tires are junk for anywhere that gets snow.
