The Wrangler Steadfast HT is Goodyear's Highway All-Season tire developed for drivers of light trucks, SUVs, and CUVs looking for dependable on-road performance and durability. The Wrangler Steadfast HT is built to deliver smooth, comfortable road manners as well as provide driving confidence with good traction and predictable handling in dry, wet, and wintry road conditions.

Wrangler Steadfast HT callouts

A durable, all-season tread compound is molded into a symmetric design, developed to provide consistent handling in dry conditions while allowing for easy cross rotation to help resist irregular wear and maintain noise comfort. Generous circumferential grooves and wide, lateral notches help evacuate water from the contact patch for confident wet weather performance and combine with numerous sipes designed to increase traction in wet and wintry weather.

DuPont™ Kevlar® is incorporated into the internal construction of the Wrangler Steadfast HT, helping increase overall durability. The two-ply polyester casing provides a comfort-focused, yet durable foundation for the twin, robust steel belts. A polyamide cap ply continues to add durability and provide stability at high speeds.

...Steering response is crisp, road noise is non-existent and wet traction is superb. In fact it was raining heavily the day I had them installed and I could not break them free from the road on the way home with half throttle starts with the turbos spooled up. Very impressive...

This is the first set of Good Year truck tires I have purchased in over 20 years. I would have purchased them from Tire Rack, however, I had a tire failure and they were available same day at my local Sam's Club, so that's where I got this set. I have purchased several sets of tires and brakes & rotors from Tire Rack in the past and have always had exceptional service.

So far I am liking this set of tires a lot. My 2015 Lincoln Navigator handles very well with them installed. They balanced out perfectly and run very smoothly. Steering response is crisp, road noise is non-existent and wet traction is superb. In fact it was raining heavily the day I had them installed and I could not break them free from the road on the way home with half throttle starts with the turbos spooled up. Very impressive. The Navigator came with Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Seasons on it in 22" from the factory. At 29,000 miles they were replaced with the updated version of the same tire called the plus. I replaced those at 63K miles with the 3rd generation of the same tire the Scorpion Verde All Season II. These tires all had great wet performance new and quickly degraded once half worn. They were garbage after the half way point, developed radial pulls and they were all basically shot at 30K miles being sold as a 70K mile tire. So this time I decided to go with more of an all season truck tire rather than a touring tire for such a heavy vehicle. We'll see how these Good Years wear over time, but so far I am impressed. I'm a general contractor in Naples, FL so I need a tire that can handle our torrential summer rains and also handle not getting stuck in dry, sandy soil on my construction sites. I never see mud or snow, so these are not an issue for me. Beyond that I drive primarily on paved streets and highways. So far this tire does everything I need it to do and it does it very well and very quietly. I will update this post as they wear.

...Traction in both wet and snow is enormously improved over the OEM Wrangler Fortitudes that came on the truck... these tires don't break loose every time there's a mist like the OEM's did...

My wife and I love these tires. To begin with, they look great on our Canyon. They have the subtle muscularity befitting a mid-size truck. And despite the tread being deep and mildly aggressive, the ride is smooth and quiet on all road surfaces, like you’d expect from an all-season highway tire. Handling is satisfying and predictable. Traction in both wet and snow is enormously improved over the OEM Wrangler Fortitudes that came on the truck. We feel confident getting out in winter conditions now and these tires don't break loose every time there's a mist like the OEM's did. Time will tell how long these tires will last, but even if I get 30K miles out of them, I’d buy them again all day long.

...Had some snow recently (couple of inches) and handle well compared to others slipping and sliding...

Took a long trip about 2000 miles, and very pleased with the ride comfort for a truck. Virtually no noise from these tires which is a reason I purchased them. It handles well on dry roads (not afraid to push it), much better on wet roads than previous tires. Had some snow recently ( couple of inches) and handle well compared to others slipping and sliding. Only draw back is I was hoping to improve fuel economy over the previous tires I had ( a brand I never hear of). That doesn't diminish my pleasure for these tires. I didn't buy them for better fuel economy, I wanted better traction on wet and dry roads which I got.

I don't write a lot of product reviews, but felt I had to in this case. I've had these tires for about a year and they have exceeded my expectations in every way! They're quiet on the highway, grippy in the rain, responsive on twisty roads (for a truck especially), they put up minimal struggle on hard-packed ice/snow, and they have plowed right through a couple of 4 to 5 inch fresh snows. Given that my truck is 2WD, I couldn't ask for more. And they look great.

Only 2000 miles driven so far however, these miles included dry road, rain, freezing rain, ice and snow. I rate these tires to be as good as, or better than any I've ever owned on any of my vehicles. I have pretty consistently used the best of Michelin tires but decided to try these Goodyears based on being a very similar tire that my local dealer had in-stock. They also performed very well in some muddy trail driving and gravel roads I drive daily. As the reviews reflect, tire handling and quietness are the best I've experienced. My biggest concern for Goodyears has been tire wear so it will take a few years to see how well they hold up, but my initial review is that these are excellent tires!

...Starting, stopping, cornering all great... Tracks straight on the highway...

Had the Bridgestone Dueler H/L that came stock on the truck. That tire rode nice but shot at 27,000 miles. Traction was a little inconsistent- so decided to give this new Goodyear tire that just released a try. Haven't driven a ton on it yet but for sure its exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want crazy aggressive or all terrain as my truck is for driving so I value comfort. Yet this tire looks just aggressive enough to give it a look. Rides great on the highway. Starting, stopping, cornering all great. Rain handles great. Tracks straight on the highway and most of all the noise is non existent. Handles bumps and pot holes just fine as well. Overall Im hoping for this tire to last longer than the Brigestone and am completely satisfied with the purchase. No real snow experience yet.

The Steadfast tires feel as though they have more contact with the road when going over bumps...

The Goodyear Wrangler Steadfast tires are noticably smoother riding than the original goodyear Wrangler SR-A that I replaced after getting an astonishingly high 95k miles out of them on my 2018 Ram 1500. The Steadfast tires feel as though they have more contact with the road when going over bumps. The truck has the sane original 20 inch rims, but the Steadfast feel like they have a larger diameter and are smoother riding. And, they went easily and confidently through 4 inches of snow that came early this year.

About a month in to using these tires and I have to say....I am quite impressed. We previously had the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 on our vehicle and we liked them, but these are actually a bit better so far. We have yet to drive them in snow and lots or rain, but the one thing that stands out so far is the road noise and comfort on the Steadfast is certainly an upgrade from our previous tire. My wife who doesn't really pay as much attention on tires has noticed the improvement and likes them better than our previous tires as well. Quite impressed so far and will follow up in a few months in regards to the performance in snow and ice on these.
