The g-Force Phenom T/A is BFGoodrich's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for enthusiast drivers of sports cars, coupes, performance sedans and modern muscle cars. Engineered for leading wet handling, braking and dry traction, the g-Force Phenom T/A is designed to lead the pack in both style and performance.
The g-Force Phenom T/A starts with a performance-focused and silica-infused summer compound molded into an optimized dual-zone tread design that balances environmental adaptability with even stress distribution for longer wear. g-Control sidewall inserts are designed to resist deflection for optimal handling response, and in concert with broad shoulder blocks, offer strong limit feedback and cornering stability. Full-depth lateral notches, alongside the circumferential grooves, displace water to fight hydroplaning and keep drivers in confident control in the wet.
The g-Force Phenom T/A's internal construction features a two ply polyester casing, blending durability and performance handling characteristics. Two high strength steel belts are reinforced by a nylon cap ply, further promoting comfort and high speed stability.
Like all summer tires, the g-Force Phenom T/A is not intended to be driven, stored nor serviced in near- or below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
Note: Ultra High Performance Summer tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.
Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage, tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

...Tires do not slip in the rain...
Bought a set for my 2015 Tacoma. Truck came with a set of Maxxis tires. These ride much smoother. Great ride. Tires do not slip in the rain. Very quiet. They work well for my driving style and needs. All in all happy with my purchase. Report back after a few thousand miles but first impression is very good.

...Drove home in the rain after having them installed and really tested them. Excellent wet traction...
Just had these put on, the Michelin LTX,s where shot at 62,000 miles. Not complaining at all about those, great tires. The Hankook is the same exact tire for a lot less money. I expect the same level of performance from it. Drove home in the rain after having them installed and really tested them. Excellent wet traction. Cannot tell the difference between the 2 tires, will post again when I have some miles on them and see if I am still pleased.

...I live around Seattle and the wet performance is crucial - these deliver. Found myself driving with confidence in places my prior Toyo Open Country A/T's would make me more cautious...
Have had these tires on for one year, experienced all conditions except mud. Have been VERY impressed, especially with snow performance. I did take them offroading once last summer - deflated them to 25psi and they climbed steep dry trails and rocks well. Snow and ice performance was great.
I live around Seattle and the wet performance is crucial - these deliver. Found myself driving with confidence in places my prior Toyo Open Country A/T's would make me more cautious. Highway performance is great - quiet, comfortable, much better steering than with A/T tires. What really impresses me is how they really do perform in snow and other traction challenges. Just a month after buying them, I decided to start skiing again after a few years' break. I immediately regretted not getting the AT2 model, but decided to see how these did in nasty winter conditions. I was impressed. During a bad storm we had, I used my truck to pull about three cars out of drifts one afternoon. (The SLX is a re-badged Isuzu Trooper).
I highly recommend these as true "all-season" tires on 4x4 and awd equipped vehicles.

Didn't know what to expect at first, however, this has been a great tire. I have driven through ice, rain and snow and the tire has performed better than expected. The ride is very smooth. Looking at buying a set for my wife's Armada.

...While the tires cut through light snow, they fill the lugs quickly and then lose traction regularly. Deep snow only makes this worse... Variance in the temp on ice, ice with snow on top, wet ice, wet gravel, etc result in poor traction and slipping unless being VERY gentle with the throttle...
I did not select this tire on purpose, it was a throw in when I bought the truck. It needed new tires, and they would not put on the cooper at3 or bfg a/t that I requested, so we compromised on this.
I have been wary since the start and am likely to replace them this coming summer after a year of use. Being in Alaska, I worry about ice snow traction in particular. While I don't do any real off-roading, I do a fair bit of gravel road and donkey trail driving for fishing and hunting access.
The good: The siping has made these tires better than I expected on ice in a steady temp. I have been pleasantly surprised in this aspect. The treadwear has been great. They basically still look like new tires after roughly 1/10 of the expected treadlife. Noise is a non-issue. I'm sure these tires are not negatively affecting my already dismal fuel economy. They were fine for highway driving in the summer.
The bad: While the tires cut through light snow, they fill the lugs quickly and then lose traction regularly. Deep snow only makes this worse. There is a very similar result for summer driving with any kind of wet conditions that are off of the pavement. Lugs fill quickly and thus, you lose traction and spin the tires. Variance in the temp on ice, ice with snow on top, wet ice, wet gravel, etc result in poor traction and slipping unless being VERY gentle with the throttle.
I'm sure they would be fine if I was just commuting in the Spring/Summer/Fall on pavement, but I drive on more varied terrain than this, and the need for traction is important.
I won't buy again.

...They were below average during this last winter. I spent more time in 4WD than any other winter - these tire do not inspire confidence in snow / slush / ice. My past Michelin LTX and General Grabbers performed much better in similar weather.
This tire would be great for those who need good performance in mild weather. They were below average, in my opinion, during this last winter. I spent more time in 4WD than any other winter - these tire do not inspire confidence in snow / slush / ice. My past Michelin LTX and General Grabbers performed much better in similar weather.

...They track well on dry and wet pavement and they are nice looking on the rogue...
Tires are on a Nissan rogue. Best tires i ever had on this crossover. Ride is quiet, comfortable and controlled. They track well on dry and wet pavement and they are nice looking on the rogue. No snow yet, but they should do just fine with the awd system. The HT's aren't designed for off roading, they have a softer rubber compound for improved ride comfort. Still, they might perform decently in some light off road travel but be mindful of sharp objects and punctures. All in all, im very happy with these tires. Rides and grips beautifully, and features a low rolling resistance tread pattern for improved fuel economy. Definitely buy again!!!!!!!

I have taken corners very fast with the Hankooks and they have handled everything I could throw at it...
I am a retired policeman and I have driven plenty of ford SUVs and the expedition with these tires on it handle extremely well. Even at high speeds( 90 plus ) their is almost no road noise and the handling is spot on. I have taken corners very fast with the Hankooks and they have always handled everything I could throw at it. I love to push the limits of tires to see if I will but them again and I will absolutely buy the Hankooks again without hesitation. 5 huge stars.

...This is VERY apparent while driving at freeway speeds, the car has a LOT of yaw, meaning if you gently swerve the car side to side to play with the inertia you can clearly feel the wheels flopping about side to side in the flex of the sidewalls...
So I'm a super chill driver - SUV's can hardly ever be classified as a 'handling vehicles'. I've been a BIG fan of the Continental CrossContact tires, but they don't make them any more - I was really impressed with them - quiet, good grip, long lasting, very high UTQG numbers.. Since they don't make my size anymore I wanted to get a similar class of long lasting tire.. These are UTQG of 700 (680 for the CrossContacts) price was unbeatable ($107 - after rebate) - so I'm hoping they'll last a little longer.. Yes, I'm a UTQG buyer.. Okay, so first impressions are that the sidewalls are scary thin, like really scary thin - if you push in the sidewall with your finger on the inside of the tire you can clearly feel it on the outside - like SCARY thin.. This is VERY apparent while driving at freeway speeds, the car has a LOT of yaw, meaning if you gently swerve the car side to side to play with the inertia you can clearly feel the wheels flopping about side to side in the flex of the sidewalls. This flex does help with the comfort though - the ride is very smooth indeed. The tread is not as quiet as I'd hoped which is odd. The CrossContact's were nearly silent, these are nowhere close to silent - not to say they're loud because they're not. You can just hear the whir of tire noise as directly related to road speed - up until the point where wind noise takes over.. I drove through some 2-3" deep big puddles at 45-50 and the car barely dragged either side - tires handle standing water very well.. But they are new and have lots of fresh tread..
Overall, I would say these tires are prices appropriately because of the design factors - the CrossContacts are superior by far, but they would have cost $130 more for the set and they don't make them.. I do actually like these tires, but if I'd paid as much as I would have for the CrossContacts, I'd be pissed.. This is a good, hopefully long lasting tires that is fairly predictable - perfect for 90% of SUV owners - NOT FOR OFF ROAD

...They provide a very smooth and quiet ride, with great hydroplane avoidance at highway speeds...
I am a long-time fan of Hankook tires, but this is my first experience with this particular (SUV/Truck) model. I had these installed on my Toyota RAV-4 after much comparison to other premium brands. Absolutely no regrets. I've found them to be excellent performers and an outstanding value! They provide a very smooth and quiet ride, with great hydroplane avoidance at highway speeds. Steers and tracks well. I highly recommended this tire to anyone needing city/highway all-season tires for SUV or light pickup service.

...Recently, the tires were nearing the replace wear marks in between the tread, so I knew it was time to replace them. I knew it had been a while and several miles ago since they were purchased, but I when I looked into it, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it had been nearly six years and over 89,000 miles ago since they were replaced ( 130,237 to 219,804 on odometer). I have never seen a set of tires last this long before, as 50,000 miles or less was typical...
Purchased in late 2013 for my wife's 4Runner. Based on a lot of research, I decided to give these a try, based on reviews for ride comfort, road noise, and tread life. Recently, the tires were nearing the "replace" wear marks in between the tread, so I knew it was time to replace them. I knew it had been a while and several miles ago since they were purchased, but I when I looked into it, I was pleasantly surprised to find out it had been nearly six years and over 89,000 miles ago since they were replaced (130,237 to 219,804 on odometer). I have never seen a set of tires last this long before, as 50,000 miles or less was typical.
I find it strange that others on here have complained about getting only 20,000 miles or so. I don't know if that is due to driving habits, poor alignment, incorrect pressure, and/or a bad manufacturing lot. By my experience was very positive. Not only would I buy these tires again, I actually DID buy them again. They were mounted by Firestone yesterday and my wife says it's like driving a new vehicle again. Highly recommended for a full sized SUV for drivers who don't abuse their vehicles.

I would highly recommend these tires. These were the tires that came on my truck from the factory and I couldn't be more pleased with how they have held up. I have 91,000 miles on them and still haven't reached the wear indicator tab yet. I drive about 400 miles a week and that's mostly highway.

Lots of rain in the area and streets often puddle badly but these tires have never hydroplaned.
Great tire and for the price I will be getting these again. Hard to justify an additional $200/set for the Michelin LTX M/S with this performance.
