I DO SEE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS FOR THIS TIRE AND ALL I CAN SAY IS MY OWN EXPERIENCE. I HAVE NEVER HAD HANKOOK TIRES BEFORE BUT THEY CAME ON MY 2012 CHEV SONIC LT I REALLY LIKE THESE TIRES GOOD IN THE RAIN/WET ROADS AND HANDLE'S WELL IN CORNERING AND LOW NOISE. THIS IS A SMALL CAR THAT WE BOUGHT FOR GAS MILEAGE AND WE DO DRIVE THIS CAR ALOT HARD WE CURRENTLY HAVE 18,000 MILES ON THESE TIRES AND HAVE ROTATED AND BALANCED EVERY 6,000 AND THE TREAD IS STILL WELL ABOVE HALF SO I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE BUT FOR ME THESE TIRES HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD FOR WHAT THEY ARE A LESS EXPENSIVE TIRE AND A LESS EXPENSIVE SUCOMPACT. DO NOT DRIVE IN THE SNOW HAVE A SUV FOR THAT BUT OTHERWISE WILL PURCHASE WHEN THESE NEED REPLACED AGAIN!!

I have two seasons where I live, very hot and cold (35-118 degrees). Dry grip is quite good as well as steering feel and cornering. In a straight line the grip from these are also good considering the tire size. I've not experienced any hydroplaning and when it rains here it rains hard. Wet grip is only okay. These have provided some really good fuel economy as well. Over all not a bad tire but my style demands more.

At 49,000 I'm shopping for new tires and was expecting to buy this same tire, which came on the car when new. I've not had any snow or ice, but the handling & traction have been great; no hydro-planning even. Maybe it's mostly that the Sonic has good handling; I love the way it grips on the freeway semi-circle off-ramps...some sporty cars tail-gating me can't keep up. So I'm really shocked at the poor reviews. Because of that I'll review the other tire choices, but honestly, these have actually been great on the highway & around town, even when trying to drive a little spirited with the 6-speed manual.

I realize that this is a tire for an economy car, but they are by far the worst tires I have ever had on any car. They are worse than useless in the snow. Reminds me of driving my 97 Z/28 with Eagle GSCs when I'm in the snow. Even in the rain it's hard to pull out into traffic without the traction control going off. I will be replacing these tires before the snow flies next winter. Maybe even sooner, since they are not very good in the rain either. I don't trust them for spirited cornering in dry weather either. If you consider these tires for your car...STAY AWAY! You've been warned.

These tires are good on dry road period. They came with the car I had never purchased or experienced this brand of tire before. I have to agree with most of the other ratings. These are the worst tires for rain and hydro planing. at 27000 mi I still have about 4/32 left on the tread. small puddles and I am fighting to keep out of the ditch. I have had some bad tires before but these are dangerous. soon as it stops raining here. I'm replacing these tires.

unsafe at any speed.... This tire, the Hankook came on my certified pre-owned Volvo. I'm going out on a limb here, but this tire should not be allowed on American roads. I don't know what the driving conditions are in the country where these things were manufactured, but they have the feeling going around corners like driving a sofa-bed. The sidewalls are pure sponge giving a "here we go" feeling. Wet traction is hazardous... I have no confidence in these tires in the rain. They hydroplane like crazy! I could feel the All Wheel Drive system engaging at every turn. These tires are... UNSAFE at ANY SPEED.

Other than the performance in dry conditions, these tires are absolutely terrible. In the snow, I was almost involved in four accidents last winter. Do not waste your hard earned money on these tires. There are many more choices for the same money or less that are superior. I wouldn't put these tires on my kids wagon!

If you have these tires on your car where it may snow don't go anywhere you can't start, stop or steer. Please buy new tires as soon as you can before something bad happens.

This tire is the wrost ever. it si rated at 60K and at 30K they were were gone! They are terribnle in the snow. Lest season i calle dinto work ever time it snowed (in michigan!) becasue i was to fearfull to drive the car. This season the first snow fall wasnt much.. but enough to wreck the car! so disappointed! now I need new tires and have a deduciable to pay.

This tire is absolute junk!!!! I have never owned a worse set of tires. They are average at best in dry conditions and in wet conditions forget about it. I only used the tires I had on my Sonic in the snow once or twice at the tail end of last winter. If you value your life, or anyone else's, replace these factory junk tires right away. These tires also have terrible road noise and drive hard as a rock. As far as tread ware, I wouldn't know because I replace them with a different set at 11k miles. Take them off right away and sell them on Craigslist.... I did!

My new car came with these tires on it and even though I tend to drive them hard once in a while, they only made it 12,000 miles. I've had tires only last me a little over a year before but never less than 6 months. Low noise, smooth ride, handles well enough in the rain, under steers often when cornering, soft rubber that wont last long.

Came stock on my 2013 Chev Sonic, Tires are ok for normal wet and dry pavement. Never had any control issues or loss of traction. Dismal performance when there is any snow or ice. Had to mount winter tires to be able to get up a slight slope when there is any snow at all, or risk skidding up the slope while trying to get any speed over 10 kph. Tread wear is great however the tires have literally weather cracked after 4 years 1 month and need to be replaced already. My last set of bfg tires lasted me over 8 years before they weathered enough to be replaced. Have only put 27,000 km's or 17,000 miles on these tires. Very disappointed about needing new tires already, shortest life of any tire myself or my family has ever owned including some off brand tires. Would not buy again or recommend.

Real good tire until I had to deal with the snow and fast tread wear. Wet/rain almost no problems but struggled to get going after stopping in the snow. I've never had a set of tires on any car wear as fast as these. I relaxed my driving style and found that if you drive like an old woman on Sunday they should wear normal, but as soon as you do anything with a little extra speed they just waste away.

These tires were OE on my wife's car and I hated them, so of course they came OE on mine. One of my wife's tires blew out on a bump on the highway and I replaced the whole set myself at 5/32 (I was a tech at a dealership). My tread is getting low after a little over 40k of pretty easy driving, and could possibly make it to 50k. I hydroplane all over the place so I am looking forward to changing these. There is a hilly highway that I have to use to leave my neighborhood, and when it's raining it can be very dangerous, because the tires can barely pull my car up the hill without spinning.
