Most customers rate wet traction highly, with scores in the 8-10 range highlighting confident grip and reliable performance in wet conditions. While a few lower scores indicate some variability, the majority praise its strong wet weather capabilities for all-season SUV use.

...Hydroplane resistance is very good, even after 60,000 miles (thankfully, they kept me from a highway wreck at 70mph driving from FL to CA through heavy rains; a white knuckle experience to say the least)...
I bought these tires on recommendation from a tire store representative, and 60,000 miles later, am looking to buy my second set. I've gotten great gas mileage, low noise, high miles, and all around great performance from these tires. The only area I found these tires lacking is that of snow driving, just keep it a little slower. Hydroplane resistance is very good, even after 60,000 miles (thankfully, they kept me from a highway wreck at 70mph driving from FL to CA through heavy rains; a white knuckle experience to say the least). I've read the other reviews that say this tire has a high noise level, but I've never noticed it. I would definitely buy again.

...These tires are great in the rain. No sliding or hydroplaning at all.
I purchased these tires because the reviews on the most of the other options were poor. The tires have so far been a very good. The ride is soft and comfortable with very little noise. The wear rate has been good so far. The dealer just rotated them and reported no problems other then some very minor side wall issues. I think he was more interested in pointing something wrong out since I didn't get the tires from that dealer.
These tires are great in the rain. No sliding or hydroplaning at all. We had an ice storm recently and the tires didn't do that great but the road was almost all ice. If there is any place I am disappointed it's in their performance in the snow. They are adequate but could be better. They lack the traction I've had with other SUV tires. They weren't bad, just ok. Overall, so far, these tires have performed very well for the price.

Most customers rate winter traction between 7-10, with many scoring 9s/10s in snow and deep snow. While ice traction shows some variability, the Ventus AS RH07 delivers confident grip and reliable performance in typical winter conditions for crossover/SUV use.

I have taken these tires to the snow too. I have taken them in 6+ inches of fresh fallen snow before streets were plowed. No problem (AWD). Have also taken this on hard packed snow (AWD), and does very well. Ice, well these are not studded tires, but work OK.
I bought my truck used, and it came with these tires new. I wasn't happy they were on there, I wanted A/T tires, but what a surprise. Tread wear is excellent. I drive on-road and off-road a lot. I go up to mountain top radio sites with streams, mud, snow, and have never had a problem. I know they are not A/T tires, but you would never know it. I have gone up some inclines in 4WD, that quads could not make it up (fire roads). I would most definitely buy these again. My truck is a billy goat. These tires are much better on the milage then A/T tires.

...These tires would pull the murano thru 10 inches of fresh snow and never require the awd system...
Purchased these tires for our 2007 murano that we got off of a lease with 36,000 miles on it. The oem tires were horrible and getting old. After considerable research and other peoples opinions I picked these. From day 1 I was Incredibly happy with these tires. In combination with the muranos excellent stability control and awd we couldn't get the car stuck if we tried to. These tires would pull the murano thru 10 inches of fresh snow and never require the awd system. Excellent tread wear all around lasting well over 60,000 miles. I have a tendency to corner very hard brake quickly and I love to accelerate fast. These tires did it all and never gave me a problem. If these tires wear out prematurely then the vehicle needs a proper alignment or the suspension system is worn out (ball joints, bushings, etc). These tires were very quite as well. I couldn't be happier.

...Great dry traction and cornering (Wet not tested yet)...
Had no other choice wen i bye the wheels in Thailand. After 10000Km noise become terrible in cabin wen reach 140Kph and do not disappear even if you slow down(Must stop and cool of-sound like a broken bearing) Had a bad experience in mountain road wen taken a curve on 50 Kph in 4x4 on light wet road; the 4 wheels slip and it is thanks to my calm and experience (62y. old) that i didn't crash in to the mountain! Same on light mud. Also very very kinky wen have to do an emergency brake even in dry! Wen they took the tires of the wheels 1 tire had loose his rubber(30cm) on the contact part whit the wheel could see the spring!??? Round out dangerous do not even deserve a T speed rating! Mix of Hwy. city, countryR. light O.R. Could not find FIRESTONE Destination A/T 255/60/18 here in Th.!??? I replace them now with MAXXIS marauder S2 same size, so far so good. Great dry traction and cornering (Wet not tested yet) Bit harder than previous and bit noisy at 60Kph (Whit window open, not in cabin!)
Congratulation great site thanks EDDY, Chiang Rai, Thailand.

...The tires otherwise have been good, no other issue, and very comfortable ride...
These tires were on the car when I bought it, and that was 15k miles ago. Tread is down to 6/32
so based on that, I'll get another 15k or so.. 30k on a 65k rated tire.. not so great. The tires otherwise have been good, no other issue, and very comfortable ride. I had to come back and buy one more due to picking up a large nail in the inner sidewall. Interesting, the tire still holds pressure!!

...Initially, the tire was a dream, and I thought I had found my new tire. Rotated after my first 5,000 miles and still I was in heaven. The tire was silky smooth in comfort. No road noise to speak of. I was extremely happy...
Bought these tires on internet recommendation to replace Yokohama Geolander tires. I was not happy with road noise and ride comfort of the Yokohama tire, and these tires are worse.
Initially, the tire was a dream, and I thought I had found my new tire. Rotated after my first 5,000 miles and still I was in heaven. The tire was silky smooth in comfort. No road noise to speak of. I was extremely happy.
After first rotation, I noticed an increase in road noise...not to the extent of the Yokohamas that I had owned previously...but still noticeable. The ride was still comfortable. Traction was good for my driving...which is average. I don't get on the accelerator much, and I don't try to cut corners at 70mph.
I rotated again a couple of weeks ago at the 10,000 mile mark. After this rotation, the road noise became unbelievable. At 40-50 mph, it sounds as though I am driving on the roughest road imaginable. The ride feels a bit rougher. So, I took them back to the tire place where I bought them. They balanced the tire, but said there is no damage to any of the tires and the treadwear is even (meaning the tires are inflated properly and I don't have alignment issues). So...it seems the wear and road noise being extremely loud is normal for this tire.
So...after 10,000 miles, I am extremely disappointed. I will not get 50,000 out of these tires. If I make to 25,000, it will be surprising. In fact, I am not exaggerating to say I have to crank up the radio to drown out the tire noise.

I've had these tires for over 5 years and the tread won't die. So much left compared to the factory ones I change twice since new getting half the mileage and these tires are even close to being worn. Amazing quality in longevity...
I've had these tires for over 5 years and the tread won't die. So much left compared to the factory ones I change twice since new getting half the mileage and these tires are even close to being worn. I might just replace them because 5 years is getting old buy these still just keep going. Amazing quality in longevity.
Put these on a great vehicle and they will be great in return. Out these on a subpar vehicle and you will blame the tires.
They handle amazing for the shear size and weight of my Merc.
Can't say enough good things about Hankook tires.
Have a set on my wall just waiting to be put on to replace my $550 per tire Michelins for my 911.

...We have put well over 30k miles on them (daily commuter as well as several 1200+ mile highway trips) and the treadwear is outstanding, however...the noise is unbearable!...
I bought these already installed on the used Cx-7 with unknown miles on them(15-25k estimated). We have put well over 30k on them (daily commuter as well as several 1200+ mile highway trips) and the treadwear is outstanding, however...the noise is unbearable! There is still another 2 seasons worth of tread on the tires and I am pulling these off. It is difficult to carry a conversation in the car with these tires. I will not purchase these again.
