The CrossClimate2 is Michelin's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sedans, coupes, station wagons, crossovers and SUVs looking for daily driving comfort combined with confident performance in dry, wet and light snow conditions. The CrossClimate2 is designed as an all-weather tire to meet industry severe snow service requirements qualifying for the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol alongside its all-season performance and is intended to function as a one-tire solution for drivers that experience all four seasons but don't receive sufficient snowfall to require a dedicated winter tire.

Michelin CrossClimate2 Callouts

The CrossClimate2 features Michelin's Thermal Adaptive all-season tread compound molded into a V-Formation directional tread design engineered to deliver dry, wet and wintertime performance. Michelin utilized their PIANO Noise Reduction Tuning which employs advanced tread pattern modeling that helps tune out airborne noise by augmenting tread element geometry and timing variation. Longitudinal dry grip is promoted by the center portion of the tread, with blocks that align with fore and aft forces, increasing uninterrupted block area contact when accelerating or decelerating. Braking traction is further enhanced by V Ramp chamfers molded into the leading and trailing edges of the blocks that increase contact with the road surface under load. Further outboard, the shoulder blocks begin to align laterally with the tread, helping increase cornering forces and control. 3D SipeLock technology integrated into the tread, supports block rigidity for confident handling while also increasing traction in inclement weather. The steep angles designed into the tread pattern help channel water away from the contact patch, increasing hydroplaning resistance without the need for circumferential grooves. This grooveless pattern evens out load forces to benefit wear characteristics, while creating more biting area for wintertime traction. Snow performance is further enhanced by the Thermal Adaptive Tread compound, ensuring the tire remains flexible at lower temperatures for increased snow traction sufficient to receive the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Internal construction of the CrossClimate2 consists of a two-ply polyester casing supporting two steel belts. A polyamide reinforcement is added to further enhance high speed stability and performance.

Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

...It's very sure-footed in wet conditions...

Great tires! My car is rear wheel drive (not 4matic) so I need a tire that can help as much as possible in slick weather. It's very sure-footed in wet conditions. Haven't had a chance to drive in snow yet. The tire has gotten a little louder since it was new (most tires do) but nothing intolerable. Would definitely buy again!

...Very good steering feel and traction, wet or dry...

I’ve had these tires on my Honda Pilot since Jan. 2024 and finally put them on my Acura MDX. I like them on my Pilot and they should be just as good on my Acura. Very good steering feel and traction, wet or dry. No problems in the snow either.

...The wet traction is incredible. It's virtually impossible to hydroplane these tires with the Acura SH-AWD system...

This is hands down the best tire I've ever used on any of my vehicles. My first set got 72K miles on a 4 door sport sedan. The wet traction is incredible. It's virtually impossible to hydroplane these tires with the Acura SH-AWD system. The snow traction is much closer to a true snow tire than an all-season. The ride is quiet and smooth. I am into my second set on our TLX. We purchased a MDX for my wife. I am so pleased with the treadwear, ride, and safety of these tires I took the brand new stock tires off her MDX and put these tires on. Regardless of the vehicle these will be the only tires I use going forward. They are not cheap but they are worth every penny. I rarely leave reviews.

This is my 2nd set of CC2. I can't say enough great things about these tires. Recently we had about 8 to 10 inches of snow here in Connecticut. I had to do a little off street parking for a holiday party. I easily drove up on the curb, straightened out and parked. Later upon leaving I put my car in low gear and we climbed off the curb with ease. Meanwhile, every other SUV leaving when we did had to be pushed out by a group of husbands bcz they were spinning in the snow. I've driven in heavy rain on the highway with curvy bends. My CC2 handles like a champ. I feel safe and dont feel the need to baby the bends... rain or shine! The pattern of the tire is an extra bonus. Looks super sharp on my subaru! *and they were amazing when I used to have them on my '12 Mazda CX9. Its my experience the tread lasts!! Whwn I traded in the mazda the CC2s went with it. Im still kicking myself for not keeping those tires and maybe throw some cheap ones for the trade in. Oh well!! Ill know better if ever a next time. If you are on the fence, don't be these are the tires you are looking for!

These tires are amazing. Wet traction is very impressive, especially at higher speeds or going into turns. What really stands out is how well these perform in the snow. I just recently had to drive in two snowstorms and these tires did not disappoint. They just handle everything so well and provide a lot of grip whether it dry, wet, or snow. I would definitely recommend the Michelin CrossClimate 2.

...Dry, wet or even light snow conditions have been smooth and easy to drive in... handles corners and sudden stops with ease...

The best set of tires we've owned!!! Dry, wet or even light snow conditions have been smooth and easy to drive in. No noticeable tire noise, handles corners and sudden stops with ease and has been showing minimal tire wear even with adding more than usual extended trips across states. Heavier snow is not a strength but also doesn't make us feel like we are not going to be able to make it to our destination. If anything I'm still just considering switching tires for heavy winter driving as so to make these last for every other season because they excel so much in every other weather condition. Will definitely buy these again!

Replaced the OEM Continentals with the Michelin CrossClimate2. AMAZING upgrade…. Wet and dry traction, noise, handling, braking, all much better than the OEM tires even when they were new. Have not had the opportunity to test them in deep snow or ice yet but based on the ratings and reviews here I’m optimistic that they will be a LOT better in those conditions compared to the OEM tires as well.

...The ride on both cars is much smoother and gentler than the original tires. Road noise is low, wet and light snow traction is great...

After doing lots of research and speaking to several people about these Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, I decided to purchase them for both of my cars. Both cars have run flat as original equipment but I went with these Michelin non runflats. The ride on both cars is much smoother and gentler than the original tires. Road noise is low, wet and light snow traction is great, I have not skid out on ice, yet so it seems good. So far on one car the gas mileage appears to be the same or slightly better. On the other car, which has offset tires, I am seeing slightly lower gas mileage which I am attributing to the offset tire sizes, the rears at 258/40R20 are a bit large. Overall, I love these tires on both cars and would definitely recommend them and purchase them again. Plus they look really cool and mean.

I have been very impressed with the traction in less than perfect conditions, and the tread life.

We use our vehicle for travel hockey, and hockey is never canceled for bad weather. On most of our vehicles we have summer and winter tires. For the Q7 I had planned on getting a set of snow tires, but deemed it unnecessary after driving all over in mixed conditions all winter.

They are not as good as snow tires on ice, but not far off. The fact I don't have to have an extra set of wheels and tires, and switch them out is time and space saving.
They are not as good as performance tires for spirited driving, but even in dynamic the Q7 isn't my go to for winding roads. The performance is more than acceptable for this vehicle.

We cover a lot of miles year round for travel hockey, and so do the rest of the parents on our team. After raving about the traction on snow and slush covered roads, and being one of the few families that wasn't stressed due to the driving conditions at least 5 families have put them on their vehicles and loved them.

Our team has them on every thing from sedans, small suv's, mini vans, and even a suburban, and have had great results, and increased safety and confidence.

If you want a good at everything tire this is a great option.
