Most customers rate wet traction highly with scores of 8-10, highlighting confident grip and hydroplaning resistance. While a few lower scores exist, the majority praise its excellent wet performance as a summer tire.

...Great performance in dry, acceptable in rain...
I highly recommend these tires. Great performance in dry, acceptable in rain.
Reviewing this set as I order replacements. 4 years in service on the fronts, about 43k miles. Combo city/highway driving, including one cross-country round trip and a track day.
Pros: very good performance, excellent tread life. Security and durability of run-flats. Precise and predictable handling, including spirited driving on windy mountain roads. Very little squealing even near performance limits. Quieter than competitors during first half of tire life. Run-flat worked fine for 40 miles on a trip thru mountains after picking up a screw.
Cons: rear tires developed a droning noise after about 20k miles. Fronts got a little noisy too at about 40k near end of tread life.
Overall weaknesses shared with any low-profile run-flat: Stiff ride, noisy over bumps, less comfortable than non-runflat equivalents, more expensive. As long as you are OK with these trade-offs, these Michelins are a great choice for high performance and reliability.

...The tires held up extremely well this season with 2 drivers [a retired pro racer and myself] accumulative of 20 races this year. Excellent handling on wet roads and track...
It is my Wife's car. However I race AutoX twice a month in Southern Louisiana. [Very wet and hot.] The tires held up extremely well this season with 2 drivers [a retired pro racer and myself] accumulative of 20 races this year. Excellent handling on wet roads and track. I am replacing them with the same for next season. The stiffer sidewall lends to rail like corners that seldom slide until well worn. Without the harsher wear of the autoX driving estimate a realistic 24 - 28 K miles in normal use. Noise level very low. Great tire for my needs.

Customers overwhelmingly rate dry traction as excellent, with most scores 9-10. High marks highlight responsive handling and reliable grip, making it a top choice for summer performance driving. A few 7s suggest minor variability, but scores align with its max-performance summer design.

...Precise and predictable handling, including spirited driving on windy mountain roads. Very little squealing even near performance limits...
I highly recommend these tires. Great performance in dry, acceptable in rain.
Reviewing this set as I order replacements. 3.5 years in service on the rears, about 40k miles. Still a little tread left (could get 43k-45k) but replacing now as a set since fronts are worn out.
Noise noticeable starting at about 45mph, then progressively louder til roughly equal to engine noise at 65+mph. Rebalancing didn't help.
Overall weaknesses shared with any low-profile run-flat: Stiff ride, noisy over bumps, less comfortable than non-runflat equivalents, more expensive. As long as you are OK with these trade-offs, these Michelins are a great choice for high performance and reliability.

This tire transformed the car - making a great car fantastic... traction, wear, sound, handling, ride - everything will improve...
This tire transformed the car - making a great car fantastic. I commute 57miles each way to work (I know, I should be driving a prius, but I like driving a car rather than an appliance) - I got an absurd 50K miles out of these tires (at 50K the rears were in bad shape, i could have gotten more miles on the fronts). I just replaced all of them last week with a new set and couldn't be happier (well - i would be happier if they were cheaper, but I won't ever go back to the bridgestones). BMW should have spec'd this tire from the factory. They are expensive, but so very worth it....traction, wear, sound, handling, ride - everything will improve. Buy them and you too will be a believer. I'm in southern California - so no real experience in snow or ice with this car/tire combo. Good luck!

...The stability through high speed sweeping corners is better with less tendency to skitter out over small bumps and road seams. There is virtually no tendency to break free during hard straight line acceleration...
With just over 50,000 miles on this vehicle, I have been through several sets of the OEM Goodyears. The difference between those tires and the current Michelins is night and day. The stability through high speed sweeping corners is better with less tendency to skitter out over small bumps and road seams. There is virtually no tendency to break free during hard straight line acceleration. And aesthetically, they are very nice looking tires when mounted. I hesitated at first to pay the higher price, but once the deal was done I couldn't be happier!
One caveat - the ride is firmer, harsher, bumpier, or stiffer depending on what adjective you want to use to characterize it. On the Corvette, I want the feedback and don't find it in any way unacceptable. Others, more sensitive to peas under mattresses, might consider a tire with a softer sidewall and without the run-flat capability.
Also, Tire Rack's lightning fast shipping has amazed me! Twice I have ordered before noon and had tires within 24 hours out of the Reno warehouse. Fantastic service!!

Most customers rate comfort highly, with scores between 7-10. High marks for ride quality and low noise levels highlight its smooth, refined performance in the Max Performance Summer category.

While performance and ride quality were generally acceptable... Since ditching run flats and going to a conventional tires I have noticed improvements in tire life, ride quality, and mileage...
While performance and ride quality were generally acceptable, durability was terrible In less than 20,000 miles I have gone through six of of Michelin's Pilot ZP run flat tires. Two tires simply wore out much faster than expected, well under 20,000 miles, while the remaining four tires all suffered either sidewall failure or were damaged and could not be repaired. When I say damaged, I mean a typical puncture that should have been easy to repair. No installer was willing to try and repair a run flat tire. Warranty on this tire also substandard because of the design of the car which calls for different size front and rear tires. Since ditching run flats and going to a conventional tires I have noticed improvements in tire life, ride quality, and mileage. I have noticed no significant difference in handling or braking, though I acknowledge I am not stressing the tires on most drives. If you purchase this tire as your daily summer driver make sure you purchase the road hazard warranty.

...Ride comfort is excellent and blows away the bridgestones that were stock... Noise is very low until 20,000 miles. Once you hit 30,000 noise levels are quite noticeable...
I drove mainly highway miles in South Florida in very hot, humid, and wet conditions. Overall I was very happy with these tires. I can safely get 38-39K miles. Ride comfort is excellent and blows away the bridgestones that were stock. Steering response is slightly less than the bridgestones though. Noise is very low until 20,000 miles. Once you hit 30,000 noise levels are quite noticeable. Overall, for everyday cruising and a few spirited driving days, I really liked these tires. On my next set, will consider non run flats for comfort and for price issues.

...Very comfortable (you lose a bit of cornering at speed), and otherwise fine, but an *extremely* expensive set of tires when you take into account $/mi...
My tires wore out before the warranty date! Rated to 20k miles. I'd not even done 15k miles and the tread is completely missing and bald. It was so soon I hadn't even bothered to check, someone pointed it out to me.
The rest of the tires specs aren't bad. Very comfortable (you lose a bit of cornering at speed), and otherwise fine, but an *extremely* expensive set of tires when you take into account $/mi.
Thankfully tirerack.com has stepped up where Michelin fell down and given me a discount on a new pair. Back to the O.E. tires for my car. The ride ----s a bit more, but I got 40+k mi on the first pair, almost 3x the miles for not much more $!!

Most customers report excellent treadwear with scores of 8-10, highlighting durability in summer conditions. A few lower ratings suggest varied experiences, but high scores emphasize long-lasting performance for drivers prioritizing dry and wet traction.

...The treadwear rating is 50% better than the Bridgestones I had, so I expect better life...
I was on the fence between going back with the OEM Bridgestone run flats and Michelin Pilot Super Sport non-run flats. After talking to other owners and Tire Rack reps, I decided to stick with run flats for the sharp steering response. I was pleasantly surprised that these Michelin run flats were available in the staggered tire sizes for my 2011 BMW E90 335i. The Tire Rack video comparison of these tires vs. Bridgestone OEM tires and others firmed up my decision to buy.
My first impression is that the Michelins handle better, have better steering response, less noise, and better ride. The treadwear rating is 50% better than the Bridgestones I had, so I expect better life. I don't drive the car in the rain if I don't have to, as I have an old pickup for bad weather, so I don't have any feedback to give on hydroplaning or wet weather traction. I will say that I've never had a bad Michelin tire in over 40 years of driving and so far these are carrying on the tradition.

...I checked the tread today. It is time to shop for replacements, 34,000 miles later. I couldn't be more satisfied with how these tires performed and how long they lasted.
I'm the 2nd owner of a 2003 Z4. I bought it in Texas, drove it out to Northern Ca on the OEM Bridegstones. The ride was punishing. Hit rain in LA, and the hydroplaning was scary. Put the Michelins on when the odometer turned 27K. They transformed the car. Ride comfort was night and day, as was the reduced tread noise. The traction in wet and dry conditions is confidence inspiring. Steering response may have been slightly sharper with the Bridgestones. I checked the tread today. It is time to shop for replacements, 34,000 miles later. I couldn't be more satisfied with how these tires performed and how long they lasted.
