The Primacy Tour A/S is Michelin's Grand Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of family sedans, coupes, crossovers and SUVs looking to maximize ride and noise comfort and maintain year-round traction. The Primacy Tour A/S is designed to deliver a premium driving experience combined with all-season capability, even in light snow.
The five-rib pattern of the Primacy Tour A/S's asymmetric tread design is tuned to provide the refined, quiet ride expected of a luxury touring tire. Wide outboard shoulder blocks aid dry handling and lateral grip, and sweeping grooves help evacuate water for hydroplaning resistance. Zigzag sipes located in the center and inboard ribs, as well as the inside shoulder, provide traction in snow and on ice.
The internal construction of the Primacy Tour A/S consists of a two-ply, polyester cord casing that promotes ride comfort, and two steel belts stabilize the tread. A single, polyamide reinforcement aids handling and delivers high-speed capability.

...I cannot speak for the snow traction, as I have not had any snow to drive in, but the wet traction is far superior to the original Dunlap tires that were on my Genesis and the handling and road responsiveness with these tires so far is excellent...
My 4.6L 8 cylinder Genesis Sedan is a powerful and very quiet luxury car. I wanted quiet tires that handled well with good snow traction. The Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires compare favorably to the Michelin MXV4 tires on my BMW so I thought I would give them a try. Per Michelin's advertising, these tires have "... the quietest tread design among leading competitors. Based on internal objective interior noise tests measuring dBa from 500 to 2000 Hz on asphalt (weathered and smooth) and smooth concrete comparing the MICHELIN Primacy' Tour A/S versus the Bridgestone Turanza' Serenity Plus, Continental PureContact', Pirelli Cinturato P7' ALL-SEASON Plus, and Goodyear Assurance ComforTred. Testing performed on a 2015 BMW 328i with tire size 225/50R17.4 tires." I have to agree with their assessment -- these tires are QUIET!!! I cannot speak for the snow traction, as I have not had any snow to drive in, but the wet traction is far superior to the original Dunlap tires that were on my Genesis and the handling and road responsiveness with these tires so far is excellent. Also according to Michelin advertising, these tires have "...17% better snow traction than the MICHELIN Primacy' MXM4. Based on third-party snow traction tests using ASTM Test Method F1805-12 in tire size 235/45R17 97W. Actual on-road results may vary." Well done Michelin. So far I am more than pleased, but I reserve the right to revise my rating when more miles are logged.

...Wet traction, dry traction and comfort/quietness are top-notch, and dramatically improved every aspect of driving on my 2021 Hyundai Kona...
Fantastic all-season tires only beaten in stability and cornering by the Pilot Sport AS4's I had purchased for a Hyundai Veloster N. Wet traction, dry traction and comfort/quietness are top-notch, and dramatically improved every aspect of driving on my 2021 Hyundai Kona. I noticed a dramatic decrease in road noise and a dramatic increase in driving dynamics from the cheap OEM tires that came with my vehicle. The Kona is by no means whatsoever a performance car, but the level of grip that these tires provide gives me full confidence during all conditions. Tire design is an often overlooked aspect of the motoring world, and these tires certainly look as good as they perform. Treadwear is fantastic, I have put over 20,000 miles on these tires since I bought them, and tread depth is still at 8/32". Overall fantastic tires, I would highly recommend these to anybody looking for a top-notch all-seaon tire.

...They been through three snowstorms now, and handled it with aplomb...
First time I've had an OEM tire not be terrible. In fact, they are fantastic. They been through three snowstorms now, and handled it with aplomb. More than enough dry grip for my Tucson, even in sport mode with the pedal to the floor.
Treadwear is better than expected.

...My test drive was in deep snow on top of compacted snow (ice) and I was blown away by the traction and braking of these tires (and the all wheel drive Tucson). It was like all the other drivers were standing still. After just a few minutes of driving in these horrible conditions I had gained total confidence in these tires...
We bought our new Hyundai Tucson on February 11, 2019, in the middle of Seattles' "snowpocalypse". We couldn't drive our one-wheel drive truck anywhere, so the Hyundai salesperson drove the new Tucson down the steep, snow and ice covered roads to our house and brought us back up the hill to the dealership to complete the purchase. On the ride back up we thought the salesperson was driving like a maniac --especially braking while following another vehicle "way too close"-- considering the dreadful road conditions, but that all changed when I got behind the wheel! My test drive was in deep snow on top of compacted snow (ice) and I was blown away by the traction and braking of these tires (and the all wheel drive Tucson). It was like all the other drivers were standing still. After just a few minutes of driving in these horrible conditions I had gained total confidence in these tires. I drove a lot over the next two days on deep snow, ice and heavy, deep slush --always on steep hills-- and the tires were flawless. This review is all about the impressive snow and ice traction and braking, but I feel the ride is also very nice, noise is fairly low, at least for new tires, and cornering is impressive for a tire that rides this nice.

...I've been to both winter and summer, and now that I have an hour commute to work... Outstanding dry performance, respectable winter performance, and combined with a 4 Wheel Dr., this vehicle can go in any season
When I bought my Stinger GT2, I had already done extensive research on tires for both a new vehicle and cancel replacement for used, including symmetric and staggered. When I realized what tires came with my new stinger, I was surprised, because auto makers often use cost as the main driver for tires selection, putting inferior tires on high performance vehicles. These tires are phenomenal, especially considering they’re OEM. I’ve been to both winter and summer, and now that I have an hour commute to work. I would easily buy these tires again. Outstanding dry performance, respectable winter performance, and combined with a 4 Wheel Dr., this vehicle can go in any season

...Dry performance is pretty fantastic, no issues there, lots of grip and great cornering...
I don't know how these tires have a high wet rating, in my experience they've been hot garbage in wet conditions. I feel like I'm hydroplaning all the time, and any time I need to go around a curve I have to slow well below the speed limit because I can feel my car slip at the slightest turn. I haven't been able to test a lot in the snow, but what I have has been ok, but not great. Luckily this wet performance has gotten better over time, like after 20k miles, and I can drive almost normal what I would expect for wet conditions now near the end of the tire life.
Dry performance is pretty fantastic, no issues there, lots of grip and great cornering.
Treadwear is astounding. I'm at 38k miles now and I still have around 5+mm left before I get to the tread wear indicator. So, it seems like I could possibly get 50k miles out of these tires.
I probably wouldn't get these tires again unless they're the last higher end tire available.

...On the 20 mile ride home over hill and tight twisting roads I was brought back to the feeling the car originally had, tight, and well mannered when pushing it in the corners...
This is my keeper car and we maintain it in top shape. In the last 3 months I have gone through a tire separation issue on two different brands of tires, cold out of rounds issues on two different brands of tires, and poor balancing issues in three different dealer locations. I then went back to the family owned business that I remember my father purchasing tires from in the 60's and purchased these Primacy Tour AS. On the 20 mile ride home over hill and tight twisting roads I was brought back to the feeling the car originally had, tight, and well mannered when pushing it in the corners. On the long straight no outlet section of back road I thought something was wrong with the car, but it was only the sound of the engine and the wind passing over the vehicle, something that I had not heard for the last 10 years. The car is now back to what it should have been and I wish I would have gone with Michelins instead of inferior brands over the last years. Never again, life is too short to not enjoy the ride. I will report back in six thousand miles when we rotate the first time as thing change over time, but right now, I am extremely happy with these tires.

...These are quietest tires I've ever (not) heard. I can't believe how smooth the ride is with them...
Although tires are a necessity and therefore not what I would consider a "fun" purchase, I am very pleased with this purchase. These are quietest tires I've ever (not) heard. I can't believe how smooth the ride is with them and I feel completely confident in their wet road traction ability. I feel I got my money's worth and have a quality product my life depends on.

...What is most impressive is the ride comfort and noise levels. I would not have called the old ones loud, but these are noticeably quieter, there's virtually no road noise with them at highway speeds, I can't express how blown away I am. As far as comfort these are very smooth riding and quelled minor vibrations that I thought were just the car, and make the ride very composed by comparison...
Wow, I had a set of Michelins before that I wasn't as pleased with, and my Escape had Latitudes on it before and these blow them away. As a tall SUV neither set had "sporty" handling akin to a car, but these tires prove secure and offer good steering feel. What is most impressive is the ride comfort and noise levels. I would not have called the old ones loud, but these are noticeably quieter, there's virtually no road noise with them at highway speeds, I can't express how blown away I am. As far as comfort these are very smooth riding and quelled minor vibrations that I thought were just the car, and make the ride very composed by comparison. I am hoping they hold up to their mileage claims but so far I am extremely impressed with these and am very happy I spent a little more for them as my Escape feels like it has an improved level of luxury and serenity.

I drive about 70% city and 30% Highway. The Primacy MXM4's wore down to wear bars in 24,000 miles on this vehicle. Replaced with Primacy Tour A/S under tread wear warranty for a very good price. The new Tour A/S appears to handle just as well as new MXM4's and seem to be quieter, very smooth tire with that solid feel when you go over bumps or train tracks. My MPG has not changed from the worn MXM4 tires to new Tour A/s tires. Michelin claims a 17% improvement in snow and a better tread wear rating on the Tour A/S. We shall see when we head into winter how they perform in the snow and the tread depth as the tire wears.
