Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive 

So far I am beyond happy with the Pirelli's. I bought them specifically for their wet traction and hydroplaning resistance ad after a few Central FL storms and they have performed above my expectations.

I never leave reviews on anything, but I had to rave about these a little. After 1,000 miles and dealing with deep snow/ice, these tires inspire a large amount of confidence. I haven’t ever experienced this much traction in winter road conditions with previous tires. Roads I wouldn’t even contemplate using during a snow storm are now optional and effortless. In regards to dry traction, they aren’t exactly performance tires, but they provide decent cornering and function as most other all-season options would. A very good “all-rounder” for those who live up north and are looking for an all-season + severe winter weather rated tire. Highly recommended.

We needed a set of tires that would handle snow well. We have had dozens days where we had at least 1 t 6 inches of snow. These tires are as good as an average winter tire. The best winter tires will beat it a little, but this is one of the few All Season tires that REALLY handles winter weather. Even more impressive is that the tires are whisper quiet, run smoothly and handle the dry like an excellent all season tire. A true summer tires will give more grip in good weather, but I don't need that level of performance. These tires don't have the handling deficit on dry that you get with a true dedicated winter tire like the Continental Winter Viking tires I have on my other car. I have not driven on the Michelin Crossclimate 2's that set a new standard for winter performance for an all season in the past 5 years. These tires are now outscoring the Michelin's in every major tire test I can find from around the world. I can't comment on tire wear yet as they are too new. I got these tires because a set of dedicated rims with dedicated winter tires and TPM sensors was around $2K. I wanted to try an all season tire that has true winter performance rating. I am super pleased with these tires.

I bought these tires for an anticipated road trip this next year based on the Tire Rack video where they tested All Weather tires. I am ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED with the Pirelli Cinturato tires!! Man, INCREDIBLE! Road noise is almost nonexistent and my gas mileage on long road trips only dipped by about 0.5 mpg. The ride comfort is much better than the OEM Run-Flats!
I bought them in the summer, and they grip incredibly well for a touring tire on dry roads and are very responsive and predictable. During highly spirited driving on my “Closed Test Track”, the tires keep their line incredibly well and never feel like they are rolling the sidewall like other touring tires. Under hard acceleration and hard braking they grip incredibly well, and I have not had the ABS come on when aggressively braking.
On wet roads and even in downpours they handle like you are on dry roads. Even braking and cornering is excellent and I haven’t experienced any hydroplaning. So beyond impressed with the wet performance over the OEM Continentals!
I am finally writing this review because we finally got significant snow here in Maryland which is now severe ice. These tires far exceeded my expectations in the snow and ice! Granted, the BMW X2 is four-wheel drive but the ultimate test is always in the cornering and braking. On my “Closed Test Track” I am mind blown at the ability to accelerate, but braking and cornering, even on solid ice, is astounding! The car never feels squirrely or loose and is very responsive to steering inputs and braking in the snow, and on the ice (and I mean 2-3-inch-thick ice, no asphalt visible ICE), they just grip.
These tires will give you so much confidence in every driving condition! I will most definitely buy these again when they wear out!

I am extremely impressed with the performance of these tires so far. I was able to drive in multiple weather conditions - dry/warm (75 degrees or more), heavy rain, and light and heavy snowfall. Dry traction and wet traction are great. I am very impressed with the snow traction as of now. I even attempted to make my car slide in the snow, and was not able to do so successfully with these tires!!

With how aggressive the tread is on the tire, they are not too noisy and ride pretty smooth as well.

I drive a lot, so I am eager to see how long the tread life lasts on these tires. Very pleased with the purchase so far. An all-around excellent all season tire.

We put these tires on just a few weeks ago. Our old tires were worn out completely. The change for the better was evident within a mile of the repair shop.
The dry handling is very impressive even on slightly wet roads. Where I could only drive a super curvy road here in New England at 25-30 mph I can now do 40. They stick like glue.
Stopping distance is nearly half of the old tires.
The ride is good though the noise level wasn’t quiet. But I don’t care - the grip is amazing and I now feel safe driving once again.

I like it, it’s been a good tire overall! That said, I’ve had them mounted on the car for just over 3 weeks now, though I’ve been doing a lot of driving to northern NH, 1000-1500 miles a week. In comparison to the previous tires, these Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActives are so much better, smoother, quieter, every aspect, than the Pirelli run-flats that were mounted previously. I believe my fuel mileage has increased too, 0.5-1.0 mpg. Previous tires felt squirrelly at times, and needed 10-15 minutes of drive to settle. Even then, any cracks or seams in the road the old tires found and followed. The car is a long wheelbase, tracking should be straight on the highway, the old tires never gave me that feeling (back to that squirrely-ness, never felt settled). These new WeatherActives are smooth ride, quiet, and track beautifully. And rolls over cracks and seams as if they weren’t there. One example is there’s a nasty, mostly filled in crack, that runs a long distance, on the left side tire track, coming off of the ramp from I-93 south to Rte 101 east - I worked to avoid that crack previously, now I barely notice that crack. Also, Route 1 north through Hampton gets nasty too, it’s a pleasure now. I like driving on these tires, though my driving style has changed with this car. The tires hold well and track as I’d want on curves and highway ramps. And rolling on the highway is luscious. The WeatherActives are much quieter than the previous Pirelli run-flats, but not silent. They may be the one of the quietest tires I’ve owned though. I haven’t experienced any heavy rain, or snow yet. I do expect them to perform well in both cases. Ice may be a different story, we’ll find out at another time and I’ll try to update. I like this tire so far!

Great all around tire. Im not driving hard enough to really push them. They do give a bit of a squeel around 30mph on 90 degree turns but thats about as hard as i push them. Just normal driving otherwise and they perform perfectly fine and predictable. Wet weather deep puddles no problem. Snow is fine as long as you drive carefully. Ice does require very careful driving. But they did get me to and from work every day during our last north texas ice/snow storm. Which was great not having to have a separate set of tires and wheels just for a couple weeks of wintery weather a year here. Comfort is soooooo much better than the garbage OE tires. Great value for what you’re getting. Just dont try to go rally driving in ice/snow and they’ll perform just great as advertised. 100% would buy again. 90% of the performance of the continental dsw extreme contact but woth the added benefit of moderate winter weather ability

Beats the previous Michelin CrossClimate 2 we had installed. Much more comfortable ride, I think partially due to the sidewall and partially due to the tread pattern. The Pirelli tires roll smoother which seem to result in better gas mileage. I'd consider these top of category because they balance performance across all seasons with comfort which is a nice feature for our vehicle. I highly recommend them and will stick with these here-on-out unless something better comes along in a few years.

I regularly make trips between Reno Nevada and Seattle WA. I would say that I like a spirited drive and the mountain roads at speed is the way to go. The trip is mostly through the mountains of northern California, Washington and Oregon. On the drive I can experience everything from 110 going across the Oregon and Nevada deserts to snow and rain in the Washington Oregon mountains, this is an excellent Tire all the way around, never have to worry about how it handles, or its ability to stop. Bonus, even with the way I drive the tread wear is minimal

I do 1500 miles per week which is 95% highway driving in the Midwest and decided to go with another all-weather tire, previously on the Nokian WRG4 (they worn down and were replaced at 50k miles) and wanted to try the new Pirelli Cinturato Weatheractive all-weather tire and compare the tread life. The tire so far is fantastic with 26,894 miles on the tire sitting at 7/32 left I'm hoping with regular rotations and wearing the tire down to 2/32 I can reach the 60k miles.
