The P Zero AS Plus 3 writes another exciting chapter in the story of Ultra High Performance All-Season tires, continuing Pirelli's popular P Zero line. Channeling the spirit of their Formula 1 heritage and developed for the enthusiast drivers of sports cars, coupes and luxury sedans to deliver the performance they expect all year without having to worry about swapping out their tires from season-to-season. Dry, rain, or even light snow, the P Zero AS Plus 3 was designed for all of it.

Following up on the success of its predecessor, the P Zero AS Plus 3 introduces new polymer blend technology from Pirelli aimed to target improvement across all categories. This next-generation compound is built on its forerunners' strengths for higher levels of traction and longer mileage, thanks to stiffer material compounds and an optimized footprint.

P Zero AS Plus 3 callouts

The carefully engineered, asymmetric tread pattern features minimized void space for maximum contact with the road surface, increasing overall grip and improving wear characteristics. Larger, pitch-sequenced shoulder blocks improve dry handling while minimizing tread noise; the freshly optimized pattern features a larger footprint for even wear and enhanced cornering performance. Grooves and channels are integrated into the tread, designed to work in unison for predictable wet performance and hydroplaning resistance. The P Zero AS Plus 3 employs a variety of sipes focused on retaining traction in slippery winter weather with increased biting edges while maintaining reliable clear road handling characteristics. Additional 3D siping built into select tread blocks delivers further stability in all weather conditions.

The tire's internal structure features a polyester body with twin steel belts for increased responsiveness to driver input, while two polyamide reinforcement plies offer the reinforcement needed to maintain predictable handling and durability at high speed.

These are the best tires I've ever ridden on. Instant wet and dry grip that I've tried and failed to lose traction with. Went a bit wider than stock and this combination makes for an a excellent ride. Can get some slight road noise barely noticable. Will buy again

These tires are far superior compared to the OEM tires.

Excellent handling, excellent wet/rain tires and extremely quiet.

A great bonus is the nearly 10% improvement of fuel mileage we are experiencing with these tires.

Our 2016 BMW X5 diesel has nearly 230,000 and these tires are superior to all of the others we have had on our BMW.

We put this tire through the ultimate test and passed beyond my expectations. Drove from east coast to west coast and back. Went through the roughest roads, hit 2 curbs in the city, 75 to 85mph average speed, drove through a blizzard heading to the Grand Canyon, hail storm in Colorado, heavy rain with lots standing water on the road, and dry roads as well. These tires held up so well that through the whole trip I was thinking how impressive they were holding up. Not to mention 4 people in the car with luggage in the trunk that weighed as much as we did. I normally don’t write reviews but I just had to let everyone know about this one. I would highly recommend this tire and will continue to buy Pirelli brand. We have 2 Jaguar cars that came factory with Pirelli and like them. That’s why we decided on this brand for our travel car. The AS plus 3 is an excellent, impressive tire. I hope tire rack continues to stock this tire.

...I can't wait to see how these perform next winter in the snow.

These tires are incredible, easily the best tires I've ever had. They grip the road like racing slicks on dry road and don't break. I haven't felt these drift at all, even trying to go fast around a circle, they are hard stuck to the road. Normally with new tires I feel a little bit of sway with the new high treads, but these have felt locked in from the very beginning. Even in heavy rain and super wet roads, I feel like I can push my car around curves like the road is dry, it's really amazing. The only breaking from the road I've felt is with deeper water where hydroplaning is pretty unavoidable, but even then, when the tires find the asphalt again, it's instant grip, no additional sliding. I can't wait to see how these perform next winter in the snow.

...These are very quiet, very responsive, ?sticky? with excellent dry, wet, snowy and icy traction, and are absolutely the best tires I have ever personally owned...

I have purchased many sets of tires in the 53 years I have been driving. I have driven everything from beaters to Porsche, Jaguar and the like. My Saab 900 turbo SPG ran 135-140 mph all day long on the autobahn, and the tires I had on that are junk compared to these.

These are very quiet, very responsive, “sticky” with excellent dry, wet, snowy and icy traction, and are absolutely the best tires I have ever personally owned. The tire shop guy said there was absolutely no valid reason to put these ultra-performance luxury tires on a CX-5.

I disagree.

They’re awesome, and a safety enhancement for my wife, in light of her depth perception. Their performance capabilities enhance her safety margin for stopping, a tight turn for avoidance, or whatever else may come her way.

Excellent Traction and heat dissipation, tread life remains to be seen, but they still look new.

Heartily recommend these!

Best all-around tires I've ever owned. I replaced my harsh-riding summer performance run-flats with these, and the difference in ride quality is very noticeable. But I don't feel like I've given up any performance, as steering response/feel and cornering grip seem pretty equivalent to my old Continentals, even when canyon carving at reasonably high speeds. If anything, the steering response feels just a hair quicker with these Pirellis, which I wasn't expecting. And I finally got a chance to drive them in wintry conditions when I went skiing last weekend. At 7am on a chilly 29-degree mountain road covered in a thin layer of ice and snow, grip was not an issue and chains weren't needed (my car has 4matic AWD and I had it in Snow Mode). All-in-all, I'm VERY happy with these tires and probably won't even consider anything else.

I’ve been very pleased with the ride quality—quiet and comfortable, just as I hoped. What really stood out was the tire's performance in wet conditions. Handling felt confident and precise, even at varying speeds and during turns, which added a great sense of security.

For context, my vehicle originally came with Dunlop PT20s from the factory, and I found them to be extremely underwhelming—harsh ride, poor grip, and generally unsafe. I removed them shortly after purchase and haven’t looked back.

These new tires have been a significant upgrade in every way. I would absolutely recommend them and plan to buy them again in the future.

Overall the performance of the tire is great. It sticks to the road when its dry, has amazing wet grip and is fine to get you home in the snow. The biggest problem for me is wear. There tires aren't on a heavy car, Mazda6 2.5t, but at 20K miles when I had them rotated Discount tire said they were down to 5/32 and once they hit 4/32 they would help me with a warranty claim. I really do like they tires but I might need to go another route to get some more life out of my next set.

...The tread life is twice as good as the OEM. I like to change my tires at 5/32" tread wear, never go past 4/32"...

I have two 2021 Model 3 AWD LR Tesla's and have gone through 3 complete sets of the PIRELLI P ZERO AS PLUS 3 NCS ELECT 235 /45 R18 98Y XL BSW. They are very good tires...much better than the OEM Michelin MXM4 235/45/R18 that came on the cars. The Michelin's handled well, but wore quickly and end of life was around 23,000.

The Pirelli's drive very smooth and are quiet due to the foam. The tread life is twice as good as the OEM. I like to change my tires at 5/32" tread wear, never go past 4/32". I also have my own tire machine (Corghi Master) and Hunter Roadforce balancer GPS9700. I find the Pirelli's need to be road forced if you expect to have a very smooth ride. I have had some of the tires measure up to 46 lb of RF, which I was able to reduce to less than 15 lbs. I always aim for below 10 lb, but settle for 15 and lower. The Tesla's are very sensitive to RF.

Overall, I am very happy with these tires. The last set I purchased (from Discount Tires) was the newer NCS ones, which supposedly provides an even quieter ride and longer tread life. I will see when I get them on. Future plans are to purchase through Tire Rack simply for the ease of having the tires delivered to me and their prices are great!
