The P Zero Nero All Season is Pirelli's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire designed to provide all-season traction and handling. It was developed for drivers who operate their vehicles in America's various weather conditions, including in light snow.
This line originated as the P Zero Nero M+S "Pinna" line that identified Pirelli's use of a tread design that features additional sipes to enhance snow traction compared to P Zero Nero M+S tires. The sidewalls of all existing O.E. conventional and run-flat P Zero Nero M+S Pinna tires will be rebranded to add the "All Season" identification and will be available under the P Zero Nero All Season name as the line moves forward. P Zero Nero All Season tires are fully compatible with the P Zero Nero M+S Pinna tires and may be used to replace them individually, in pairs or sets.
The P Zero Nero All Season features a silica-enhanced tread compound blended to provide traction during high temperatures in the dry and low temperatures in the wet or snow. This compound is molded into an asymmetric tread design that features stable outside shoulder blocks combined with siped, continuous intermediate and center ribs that increase footprint rigidity to enhance dry grip during acceleration and braking. Shoulder grooves and circumferential channels allow water to flow through the tread design to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts to provide strength and durability on top of a polyester cord body.
Limited sizes of the P Zero Nero All Season are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Tire Rack Test Results Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season
Testing Ultra High Performance All-Season Tires (04:01)
In the do-it-all world we live in today, it's no surprise we want one tire that can do everything: have reasonable road manners for our commute, responsive handling when a back road blast beckons, and slush and light snow winter traction.
We did a Real World Road Ride and Performance Track Drive to see if one tire really could do it all.
Customer surveys indicate the Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season delivers excellent dry traction (8-10 scores) with responsive handling and confident cornering, living up to its ultra-high-performance billing. Wet traction earns strong praise (7-10) for reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance. Winter performance shows capable light-snow traction (6-8), though ice and deep-snow scores dip lower (3-7), aligning with typical all-season limitations. Ride comfort receives mostly positive feedback (7-10), though some note moderate road noise. Treadwear ratings cluster in the 7-9 range, suggesting satisfactory longevity for the category. Owners frequently highlight balanced performance across seasons, with several calling out the tire's sporty feel as a standout trait.

...No hydroplaning unless passing through deep water at speed. Traction in wet and dry is very good, and steering response is predictable, if not lightning fast...
I am very impressed so far with the P Zero Neros. Though admittedly I haven't driven at the ragged edge, they have performed admirably in all everyday parameters. Great stability in hwy tracking. No hydroplaning unless passing through deep water at speed. Traction in wet and dry is very good, and steering response is predictable, if not lightning fast. I wish the wheel protection from curbs was a little better.
I anticipate 35,000 miles of wear, not bad for a 3900 lb car. Given the competitive price, I would definitely buy them again.

...And the wet and ice traction make them a no brainer for anyone needing an all season design...
First off I am 50+ years old. So when I say these tires are a better choice than other more costly tires, you can believe it. Even on dry roads they feel better in the corners than most summer tires. And the wet and ice traction make them a no brainer for anyone needing an all season design. Every aspect is great. When a tire is rated this high, at this price, with this many miles reported. Why look at anything else.

...Cornering was confident on light throttle. Braking was good and car never felt like it would just slide. Acceleration was horrible on anything but light throttle, even if already moving...
OEM BFG KDWS tires wore out at 27K miles so I purchased Pirelli PZero Nero's because the 09+ Mustangs came factory with them. Only lasted 18K miles, BIG disappointment as traction is not good. I would expect 18K or less for sticky tires, not all seasons. No burnouts on these. BFGs in contrast had several during their life. Ratings: Wet Hydroplaning Resistance-8: Tire gives you a lot of confidence in maintaining contact with the road in rainy conditions. Never had an issue hydroplaning. But in AZ it doesn't rain much and I never had much chance to push this (not that I would want to). Wet Traction-6: Cornering was confident on light throttle. Braking was good and car never felt like it would just slide. Acceleration was horrible on anything but light throttle, even if already moving. Dry: Cornering Stability-6: tires provided some confidence in turns as they were predictable on when they would break traction on light or light-medium throttle (which was often) Steering Responsiveness-7: tires were predictable in their response even if the rear would drift out a little under heavy throttle in a straight line or medium throttle in a turn. I could ever-so-gently counter-twitch to keep the car in my lane and traveling forward. It's fun when it's intentional but not when unexpected. Dry Traction-3: Anything above medium throttle if u were not traveling in a straight line and above 30mph would break the rear tires loose until u either let off the throttle or traction control kicked in. Not confidence inspiring when u have other cars around u! I would give these a ‘0' but they have excellent braking performance. The tires have never complained or slid. They just hold the road. Comfort: Ride Comfort-8: They were never harsh or rigid feeling Noise Level-8: They are quieter than the BFG KDWS but are noisy now they are at their wear bars. Treadwear-2: 18K on 45K warranty tires.Little abuse with even wear, I would not recommend to other Mustang owners.

I knew I was trading some performance for winter weather traction and have not been disappointed in that regard--these are excellent performers in both sloppy slush and cold, dry snow...
I replaced my OEM Bridgestone RE050 summer tires with these Pirellis and have been generally happy with them. I knew I was trading some performance for winter weather traction and have not been disappointed in that regard--these are excellent performers in both sloppy slush and cold, dry snow. They have been very safe and predictable in the rain with very little hydroplaning through standing water. At 20,000 miles they're a little noisy at low speeds and a bit more worn than I anticipated. I need to replace them before 30,000 miles, not at 40,000 as I had hoped.
On dry pavement when compared with the OEM summer tires, there is minimal but notable lateral "swim" as the vehicle's weight shifts in turns and In quick lane changes, feeling more like flex within the tread blocks than within the sidewall, but grip remains quite high and ultimately secure, just not as immediate as with the summer tires. My confidence in spirited driving suffered initially, but with familiarity and a few thousand miles of tread wear, this effect has largely diminished.
My biggest disappointment has been some loss of grip when accelerating compared to the summer tires. After a gear change under hard acceleration, these tires bite well initially but can then break free as the turbo spools up and more power is put down. That said, it's usually not enough to engage traction control, perhaps because my car has a limited slip differential. This behavior at the limit might be different in a RWD or AWD car.
In retrospect, I underestimated how important summer tires are to maximizing performance, but given this is my daily driver, and that I have to get around in the frozen stuff, I'm happy with my choice. In the end, I can say that for the spirited driver these are an excellent compromise between performance and winter practicality.

...I've backed out of feet of snow with no problem of slippage. Driving on light snow was effortless...
This is my second set of zero Nero all season, the first were the M+S
They were great as well, but a bit noisier and less treadlife. Anyway I've backed out of feet of snow with no problem of slippage. Devi g on light snow was effortless. I work in locations that are remote windy roads. Too much fun.
I highly recommended them for any Audi Quattro drivers.

...I even drove in in some 3 inch snow in Indiana (12 month old tires) and was impressed, but I was driving with caution...
These were OEM on a 2012 VW GTI with a DGS transmission. I rotated the tires faithfully every 4,000 miles myself and checked the pressure monthly with a quality gauge. I have been very impressed with these tires in wet and dry conditions. They provide very good feedback and response. I even drove in some 3 inch snow in Indiana (12 month old tires) and was impressed, but I was driving with caution. At 18,500 miles I started to notice some slipping in the rain. A tread depth gauge indicated the tires were at 4/32. I am disappointed with the quick wear, but this seems typical on some forums (GTI IV, Mustang, etc). Dry performance is still very good. I am buying another set of P Zero Neros to see if tires from the factory wear differently than tires purchased retail. UPDATE - my second set from Tire Rack have lasted longer. After 23,000 miles they are at 7/32. Still happy with this great tire!

...Considering the car's setup it'd be really easy to notice if tires were limiting handling, and with these I have no complains. They grip well wet or dry, never hydroplane, never lose traction, and don't make a peep of noise when thrown around an off ramp at highway speed...
I've had these for about 33k miles on my AWD Audi with coilovers. Considering the car's setup it'd be really easy to notice if tires were limiting handling, and with these I have no complains. They grip well wet or dry, never hydroplane, never lose traction, and don't make a peep of noise when thrown around an off ramp at highway speed. They are quite and comfortable in daily driving too. I expect to get another 5k miles out of them.
My only complaint is recently they got pretty noisy, which is common when tires wear out.
I plan to replace them with the same ones. They're been the best performing All Seasons I've used (Khumos and Contis in the past), and have also lasted the longest.

I'm very happy with these tires. Very good in the rain and light snow. I never once got even remotely close to being stuck. Quiet and comfortable ride. Very good in the rain, not the absolute best tire I've had in the dry, but this is the very best tire for the money IMHO.

...Handles extremely well on dry pavement but not very well on wet roads...
The Mustang itself is a naturally "Rough Ride" to begin with and all the weight of the car up front. With that in mind, the tire itself is pretty good. Handles extremely well on dry pavement but not very well on wet roads. Bounces on high speed turns (which also could just be the suspension of the car). Road noise is there but, once again, could also be the car. Overall, it is a good, solid tire.

Fantastic tires for driving confidence, nice quite ride, firm yet comfortable ride. very stable at speeds of 100 plus mph. love the way the car feels with these tires.
The car is a Sunday driver so I can not comment much about inclimate weather driving.
They look very nice on the car.
Would buy them again.

...Wet traction and a lack of hydroplane drama are topped only by the quiet, comfortable ride...
As I was writing this I realized I gave this thing lots of 9's; only because nobody gets a 10. This is a ----ed good tire and an excellent value. As they have aged, they are a little less crisp, but very tolerable. I've had a lot of other 35 and 40 aspect tires and this one is my favorite by far. Wet traction and a lack of hydroplane drama are topped only by the quiet, comfortable ride. All that and it is still right there when I take the interstate on/off ramps. I have 15k on them so far & they have a 45k warranty; looks like they will get me a long way to it! Very pleased and WILL buy them again; great job Pirelli!

...Currently 50K +/- miles and they still feel great, still deliver well in wet or dry conditions... I'm due for new skins on the TDI... Was thinking about Michelins, but I really have to say, I'm not sure any tire on the market could possibly deliver like the P Zero Neros have! Long life, quiet, stable, and predictable in all conditions...
The Pirelli P Zero Neros are hands down one of the best tires I've ever driven. Currently 50K +/- miles and they still feel great, still deliver well in wet or dry conditions, and this winter I drove the car in snow for the first time (I also have 4WD truck) and was pretty well amazed at how well they worked! I'll say snow was about 4" deep. I drive lots of highway miles. Whatever the weather, I'm out there. I drive fast on the highways- 75-85, sometimes slower and sometimes faster. The Pirellis are so great and stable. I honestly cannot recall them ever hydroplaning. I'm no kid; I buy tires for handling, safety, and long wear- let's face it- despite its verve and zippy style, the Golf isn't a sport car, and I'm not buying a pure sport tire. BUT I do want my tires to handle whatever I throw them into.
One other thing I like about these Pirellis is they seem quiet. The VW is well insulated; a solid build quality, so no tin can. But I'm hard of hearing anyway (rock n roll lifestyle catchin up) and if this was a loud tire it'd really mess with me in terms of having a conversation while traveling, or commuting with people, or whatever. I'd rate the P Z Ns really highly in this regard!
I'm due for new skins on the TDI... Was thinking about Michelins, but I really have to say, I'm not sure any tire on the market could possibly deliver like the P Zero Neros have! Long life, quiet, stable, and predictable in all conditions... And not super expensive. Who's gonna beat that?!
RE ratings: I gave a 10 for noise level and wear with 10 being the best possible outcome, IE tire is quiet and wears long. In case there's confusion beyond my own concerning these categories and how to rate them
