The Scorpion Verde (Italian for green) All Season is Pirelli's eco-friendly Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of crossovers, sport utility vehicles and prestigious pickups. The Ecoimpact* icons on the sidewall of the Scorpion Verde All Season highlight its environmental compatibility where it reduces rolling resistance and tire weight, compared to Pirelli's previous CUV/SUV tire lines, to increase fuel economy and lower the vehicle's CO2 emissions. The Scorpion Verde All Season is designed to combine dry and wet road handling, comfort and year-round capabilities, including all-season traction in light snow.

The Scorpion Verde All Season molds a silica tread compound into an asymmetric tread design that features an optimized rubber-to-void ratio and uniform contact patch to blend dry road traction and performance with uniform wear. Four wide circumferential grooves displace water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction while longitudinal siping for lateral stability on loose surfaces and high-density lateral siping enhance wet and wintertime traction.

*Specific sizes utilizing eco-focusing manufacturing methods are identified with Pirelli's Ecoimpact designation on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

Limited sizes of the Scorpion Verde All Season are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Customers Say

Owners report excellent comfort with smooth ride quality and minimal road noise, alongside strong treadwear ratings (8-10) that many say hold up well over time. Winter traction earns praise in light snow (7-9), though ice performance shows more variability (3-8). Wet grip and hydroplaning resistance are consistently reliable (7-10), while dry traction and responsive handling stand out as top strengths (8-10). A few reviewers note faster-than-expected treadwear or reduced ice capability, but most agree it delivers balanced all-season performance for crossover/SUV drivers prioritizing comfort and confident dry/wet handling.

...In addition to providing better wet traction, this tire is far better in all categories against the Continental...

Bought these for my 2009 ML to replace the Continental 4x4 Contact for which I was disappointed with. The Pirelli is actually priced a little less than the other European brands which is a plus. In addition to providing better wet traction, this tire is far better in all categories against the Continental. Its also worth noting that I have noticed an increase in Fuel economy as this is an ECO friendly product, thru 4 full tanks I have noticed a 2.5% increase in fuel economy, which over a long period of time is a big deal. I would highly recommend this new product for anyone with an ML.

...They have been excellent in all situations, dry, wet, light and heavy snow...

I wanted to wait for first heavy snow to review these tires. They have been excellent in all situations, dry, wet, light and heavy snow. Fuel economy is slightly better with these than what I was getting with the OEM installed Goodyears. Noise is lower as well. ride comfort is more harsh but not objectionable. I would recommend these tires.

I recently drove through a torrential down pour and there was no hint of hydroplaning or skittishness from the tires. I could not say that about the Michelin MXMV4's that I replaced... even when they were new...

I have 18 inch Honda Ridgeline (5 spoke) wheels on my van. These tires are expensive, but I bought them because they had the best customer reviews in my size. I have put 6,000 miles on them and I couldn't be happier... I'm glad I spent the extra money! They are SUPER quiet; even my wife commented on how quiet the tires are. I recently drove through a torrential down pour and there was no hint of hydroplaning or skittishness from the tires. I could not say that about the Michelin MXMV4's that I replaced... even when they were new. I cannot comment on the winter performance of these tires, but I run Blizzaks anyway. My only complaint is the tires tend to flat spot over night, but they smooth out in about 5 miles. As long as they smooth out quickly, I don't mind. If you by these tires, have them re-balanced after the first 1,000 miles and make sure they balance them warm, and without the vehicle sitting for too long. You will not be disappointed with these tires.

...They are definitely a more sporty tread design but I had no problems pushing them hard in snow, ice, and rain...

I got 45,000 miles driving very hard 90% of the time on the highway. I am a tire connoisseur. I was pleasantly surprised that I really have no complaints about this tire. The better a tire performs the less miles to expect from it. The price makes its a good value. They are definitely a more sporty tread design but I had no problems pushing them hard in snow, ice, and rain. I'm sure that the Jeep's Quadra Drive II helps a lot. They look great too. Way better than the Goodyear Forteras on my last Grand Cherokee. Will be picking up another set.

...I'm an ER physician and I commuted into Boston almost every day this past winter in some of the worst snow I've ever driven in and never once did I lose control or traction on these tires. On an off-day I attempted to get my Pilot stuck in a parking lot that had not been plowed out. I spent 20 minutes and could not get the car stuck with these tires on - the Grabbers still had about 65% tread on them and did not perform anywhere near as well in snow as the Pirellis do...

I installed a set of these on my 2007 Honda Pilot about 5,000 miles ago. The difference I noticed between these and the General Grabbers they replaced is completely night and day. They are very quiet, very stable/no problems at high speeds (assuming your wheels are aligned/balanced correctly) and handle very well. I'm an ER physician and I commuted into Boston almost every day this past winter in some of the worst snow I've ever driven in and never once did I lose control or traction on these tires. I spent 20 minutes and could not get the car stuck with these tires on - the Grabbers still had about 65% tread on them and did not perform anywhere near as well in snow as the Pirellis do. I was also involved in a near-miss incident about a week ago where I had to steer around a tractor trailer that had just crashed a few hundred feet in front of me. I was doing about 75 and turned the wheel almost a complete revolution in both directions to get around it (took a defensive driving course a few years back - highly recommended) and and although they screeched pretty loudly and the stability control was going crazy, the tires held up very well. I would have expected the Grabbers to explode from the pressure or cause a rollover. The ride over potholes and bumps is a little rough but is not a deal-breaker by any means. Wet traction is very good as well. I take my Pilot off-road during the summer to the National Seashore beaches of Cape Cod and the Grabbers performed well on the sand. Have not had the Pirellis out there yet but I am feeling a bit of trepidation about it because they are more low-profile. They will probably do fine but I will find out soon as I am planning on going out with the family some time in the next two weeks. My only gripe is the wear. The sipe patterns are disappearing very quickly after only 5,000 miles. All in all though, these tires are worth the money

...I am very happy with the performance of these tires on the Rang Rover... These tires don't look as impressive as some of the off road styles with big lugs and lots of space between them but I am impressed with their ability to cut through water and light snow. Heavy snow and ice, just slow down!

Have been using these tires through 3 Range Rover Sport leases. I live in Big Bear Lake and have a house in San Diego California. Lots of highway miles going back and forth and plenty of snow and mountain driving going to Big Bear and getting around. (12ft of snow this winter) I am very happy with the performance of these tires on the Rang Rover. I gave a low(ish) number on the ice conditions because, when it's sheet ice, nothing but studs or chains work, and even then, you're going to slip! These tires don't look as impressive as some of the off road styles with big lugs and lots of space between them but I am impressed with their ability to cut through water and light snow. Heavy snow and ice, just slow down!

...The grip is phenomenal and the car feels more planted on exit ramp corners. It feels like I'm on a summer performance tire not an all season tire...

I never right reviews but I felt I had to with this tire. These tires replaced the Goodyear all season OEM tires that only lasted 27000 miles. The difference between these and the OEMS is tremendous. The tires have been exceptional so far. The grip is phenomenal and the car feels so much more planted on exit ramp corners. It feels like I’m on a summer performance tire not an all season tire. When you look at this tire the tread blocks are nice and big without the multiple cuts you find on all season tires. However they still perform superbly in the rain. Lastly they are very quiet. If your are thinking about a summer performance tire for your SUV I would pass and pick up a set of these tires. You’ll have superb wet and dry handing. highly recommend theses tires. You won’t be disappointed.

...I have to say these little Italian jobs have impressed me - They grip the road like my wifes cat running up the living room curtains! I am now taking corners at upwards of 50mph that would make the OEMs chatter at 40-45...

When it came time to replace my worn out Goodyear OEM Wranglers on my Liberty, I wanted to go with something that would handle better and run quieter. After doing my research, I reluctantly settled on these Scorpion Verde's. I say reluctantly because I'm very much a 'Buy American and Look for the Union label' shopper, (and we've all seen the horror stories of Chinese tires). I have to say these little Italian jobs have impressed me - They grip the road like my wifes cat running up the living room curtains! I am now taking corners at upwards of 50mph that would make the OEMs chatter at 40-45 (there is also a noticeable improvement in wet traction - a requirement here north of Seattle). Add the lower cabin noise levels (I can hear the Sirius radio at 11 compared to 13 with the OEMs) and the .6 mpg fuel economy improvement despite my 'spirited' (or as my wife would say, 'aggressive') driving style, and I am very happy with this purchase.

They appear to be wearing very well, and have been flat-towed over 6000 miles behind my Motorhome during several trips across the country and around the Seattle area. I can't speak to the winter traction because I swap over to a set of 17" Bridgestone Blizzaks from Thanksgiving to April Fools Day. When you order them, make sure you specify the Italian versions, not the Chinese factory ones! I'm hoping when it comes time to replace them, Pirelli will have these from one of their American (or Canadian) plants.

...First, they are quiet and provide a nice ride in the Touareg. It's hard to compare, as these were stock, so I haven't yet tried another set of shoes on to see the difference, but I really don't have any complaints in terms of comfort/noise with these...

These are OEM tires on my Touareg and I've put serious miles on them in a mix of city/highway/light offroading over the past year. Overall I'd say they are good at certain things and not so good at others. I'm in the market for a different set of tires even though these have plenty of tread left after 30k miles. First, they are quiet and provide a nice ride in the Touareg. It's hard to compare, as these were stock, so I haven't yet tried another set of shoes on to see the difference, but I really don't have any complaints in terms of comfort/noise with these. The Touareg is on the sporty side of the crossover market (basically the same as a Porsche Cayenne), and I'm used to driving sports cars. These tires do a fine job in the corners, though they could stand to be a bit grippier on dry pavement. In the wet, they do fairly well, but they are not as good at handling standing water (puddles) as others with more aggressive treads, so hydroplaning resistance could be better. Offroad these are not going to get you very far into the woods. While fine for gravel roads and dry dirt roads, they would be useless in mud and I wouldn't trust them near any real rocks that might cut a sidewall. Know your limits here. Regarding winter traction, we have had our first snow/ice event in over a year here in Arkansas with about 8" of snow to test these out in. This was what I was waiting on to determine my next set of tires. These are true all-season tires and, so, are not really intended for more than just the slightest winter weather. In >4" of snow, these struggle to get bite and they tend to pack up with snow pretty easily. The AWD system has to work overtime to make up the difference. As such, I wouldn't rate them much better than just average, since most cars today come with all season tires and these seemed no better or worse. On ice, they are fairly poor, though again not much worse than most other all season tires I've had. I will be putting a different style of tire on soon.

Replaced my factory Continental 4x4 which only gave me 20K miles. Compared this Pirelli Verde tire to Michelin Latitude. Price was about the same ($200) although as of this writing I notice Pirelli went up to $224 a tire on this site.

Also took advantage of Tirerack.com connection to Merchants tire. Tires were delivered in two days and took an hour to install. Merchants recommended tire rotation at every oil change of 7500 miles.

I purchased this tire after speaking with a customer service representative when I asked for a viable option to the factory Michelin Pilot tires. I have been nothing short of delighted with these tires. They have a slightly harder tread compound than the Pilots did they maintain the cornering stability of the Michelins. Overall, I feel that they driver better than the Michelin Pilots and offer a better value due to better treadware and come in at a lower price point. I would enthusiastically recommend that you consider these tires as an excellent performing, outstanding value replacement tire for heavier SUV's that are used on-road.

Purchased from Tire Rack (less than $100 ea)and I've been very pleased with these tires. They were advertised as MPG saving tires and "green", so both of those traits caught my eye. I read other reviews about great tread wear and I've experienced the same great results. I kept looking at my front tires trying to decide when to rotate to back, but wear was so minimal, I just did it after 15k miles. You would think the rubber would be hard but they are not. Have been great in rain/floods, and look good. They are so much better than OEM's (Bridgestones). They have exceeded my expectations. I know my vehicle has a reputation of road noise, but these tires have helped greatly in that area. I have nothing negative to say about them. First set of Pirelli's, but not my last.
