Yokohama AVID Ascend GT Grand Touring All-Season Tires in 235/40R19

At least as good as the OEM tires. Better comfort on highway conditions. Great wet traction.

This is my second set of Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires. I do delivery with this car and drive a lot of stop & go miles. I drive hard and got 45,000 miles out of the first set of tires. I chose these tires because they are designed to handle wet road conditions well. They have deep, wide grooves that channel the water away from the tread surface effectively. They grip the road well too. My car feels like it is on rails in the corners. The only drawback of these tires is the noise. Because of the deep grooves in the tread, they make a humming noise at +40 mph. It’s a trade off for me because I live in a warm climate area that sees a lot of rain with no freezing temperatures. I prefer to feel safe driving in torrential rain with a car full of delivery items. I would recommend these tires to anyone who lives in warm climate and encounters no snow or icy road conditions.

These have significantly smoothed out the smaller bumps and cracks of city streets and interstates, and have made the car handle better over the big ones, even running the pressure a bit high for the vehicle to get better handling (34fr/33rr). And traction for days with these, dry or wet. Significantly better steering also over previous (Hankook). Only negative, which it probably won't be for everyone, is that the design of the tread where it meets the sidewall makes it not the most attractive tire on a car. I noticed it in the pictures but didn't think it would show so much when mounted. They do have this very visible x-like pattern near the sidewall. Small complaint though considering the performance on even an old vehicle.

I drove through the New York area snowstorm that occurred after Christmas 2025. I passed cars that had drifted into guardrails and ditches. I white-knuckled it the whole way home. I drove with greater attention and care than ever before in my life. I wouldn't have stood a chance without these tires. They saved me from disaster. They also saved me from having to pull off the highway to pay for a night at a hotel, so they've already paid for themselves.

Being from Cleveland, I need a tire that can handle rain one day and snow the next. This tire gives me reliability to the changing weather conditions. I rely on this tire and im very satisfied with its performance

The tires seem to be of great quality. I think this are the best tires that I ever had. The last tires I had were some Goodyear ones but this ones are definitely a lot more quieter. I found this tires on a threat post for Honda Fits and a lot people have good things to say about this tires so that's why I got them for my fit. The only cons I have with this tires is the price. I wanted to actually get the all set but just two tires were 300$ after tax. I guess I'll grab another pair next year. I actually tested them in some snow and heavy rain and the grip was pretty good. I recommend this tires.

This Yokohama tire is excellent, I only give it an 8 for dry traction because the car is so powerful if can break traction, but overall this tire works well. If you drive it normally you will have no problems with traction. I highly recommend this Yokohama tire.

These are superior to the oem Avid Gt's. They feel stable and provide a more responsive steering and riding experience. I like the AA rating, it's another improvement beyond the oem tires. These feel "in charge" and not wishy-washy at speed. I'm very pleased with these, highly recommend them and I would buy them again.

This is my third set of Yoko Avids on my 2012 Audi A6; it's an excellent all-around tire. Adequate in the snow, good in rain, and excellent for noise, ride comfort, wear, and cornering.

The tire is super comfort with great driving experience. It is quieter/more comfortable/better turning experience than my previous OEM GoodYear Fuel Max. I wished I had replaced the OEM tire earlier. It is on the comfort side but it is also great in driving situations such as braking distance, turning and lane switching. I had only being able to drive in dry highway situations. I would prefer this tire in my future installation. It fills the hype(that failed) on Continental TrueContact Tour 54 tire on the tire replacement on another car earlier this year.

Very comfortable and quiet with descent performance in the dry, wet and cold. Great touring tires on the highway.
These are only used as my non winter "summer" tires, so no experience in extreme winter weather.
Treadwear looks good so far (4k miles) and will likely purchase again.

I am amazed at these tires and their resilience and comfort on my Golf. I drive mainly on highways, some city travel, but the tires don't seem to be wearing out. I had to replace on when a nail pierced the sidewall, and replaced it with another Yokohama GT. The guys at the tire shop were amazed at the minimal difference between the new tire and the older ones. When the time comes I will definitely replace these tires with the same brand and model tire. Very impressive.

A fantastic tire all around. The treadwear is incredible. I had them on my last car but put new ones anyway because i gave my daughter my car. For my car. when the garbage tires the dealership gives you were useless after 30k , I bought them for my car a Camry SE . Putting them on at the 30k i right now have 149k on them. They still have some life but im buying them now again because i dont want to push it more then the insane amount i have on them now. Of course I feel a differance now but for at least 80k they ride as smooth as can be, extremly quiet and handle all very good. i wouldnt have put them on my daughters car if i didnt fully trust them. Highly recommend them.

I have bought several sets of this tire, it has good tire wear rating along with good wet weather rating which is what I need.

All around great tires that i highly reccomend. I've driven apprx 425K on 4 sets including 120K with the ones on my car now. Nothing has ever made me question anything about them. I'm ordering another 4 right now. Driving habits? I dont drive slow. I drive to be early or on time. nights out, weekends, road trip etc. From the start to the stop and everything in between,cornering,turning and changing lanes I'm really happy. They use to say 90k treadwear. I don't see it there anymore but if with the ones on my car now having 120k and probably 10K more miles left to go on them but im not waiting to drive on balogna skins or rims
