The Geolandar G055 is Yokohama's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for the drivers of small- and medium-sized utility vehicles looking to combine year-round traction, handling and comfort with eco-friendly environmental impact. Loaded with Yokohama's latest technology for the journeys ahead, Geolandar G055 tires are designed to offer responsive handling and long-lasting treadwear in every season, even in light snow.

Yokohama's BluEarth branding is used to identify ecologically friendly series of tires designed to deliver environmentally, human and socially friendly solutions for drivers and their vehicles. Geolandar G055 tires contribute to vehicle fuel economy by reducing tire rolling resistance* along with the vehicle's carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

Yokohama Geolandar G055 Geolandar G055 tires feature Yokohama's premium all-season compound that combines Orange Oil Technology and Silica to enhance wet and wintertime traction with high-tech polymers that resist wear and promote year-round traction. This compound is molded into a symmetric tread design featuring Integrated Shoulders and a continuous center rib to reduce road noise and promote even wear. Transition Grooves and Notch Sipes work together to maintain tread block rigidity to enhance handling and create biting edges to increase traction in wet and wintry conditions. Circumferential Zigzag Grooves channel water through the tread to resist hydroplaning while providing additional edges that promote wintertime traction.

The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon to improve highway stability and high-speed durability. Polyester casing plies provide strength and promote ride comfort.

*Specific sizes featuring BluEarth technology are identified as such on the sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

The tires have performed well in the rain...

The tires have performed well in the rain. They have not seen snow yet. They are quiet and seem to be wearing well.

The balance of the tire required very little weights. Less weights than the OEM Michelin tires that were on the Edge when new.

The tires look good, for the price they will be hard to beat $100 less per tire than the Michelins.

...I been at highway speed in the rain but I keep my speed down when I cant see more the 100 feet in front of me... I never seen any issue with holding to the road on my trip to and from Tampa to new Orleans and Tampa to slippery rock Pa and we went through some very nasty weather on both those trips and never hydroplaned nor felt anything but perfect response...

Toyota sold me my 2012 rav4 with only 20 pounds of pressure when we bought it so I had to replace them all at 12k due to side wall damage found when I had a flat and that crooked dealership never reimbursed me a dime and they keep denying they did it so I chose these as they have much better tread wear and much less expensive but to my surprise they also increased the fuel economy by 2 miles a gallon over the factory Toto tires but that many be also part due to running nitrogen in them as the factory tires did not come with nitrogen so yes these tires rock and the best rated on the my size and very happy with them and yes I been at highway speed in the rain but I keep my speed down when I cant see more the 100 feet in front of me and of course I turn my flasher on and drive in the slow lane and if it really bad I pull off the next exit and wait till the worst is past so I never seen any issue with they tires not holding to the road on my trip to and from Tampa to new Orleans and Tampa to slippery rock Pa and we went through some very nasty weather on both those trips and never hydroplaned nor felt anything but the perfect response but then again I not a aggressive driver more average with 500,000 miles under my belt in all types of weather as I driven for work most of my life also I got no cold weather experience ie snow ice as I live in Tampa and I do not leave Tampa till at least march to southern locations and summer only for northern locations any more

...They do well in wet weather with good road gripping performance...

I only have approximately 2,500 miles on the 4 new Geolander tires. So far the tires have performed very well. They are quiet, and very responsive to curves or sharp turns in the road. They do well in wet weather with good road gripping performance. No experience yet in snow. A very good value for the cost.

Bought those tires to replace the summer wheels which came with my Subaru with an all-season options which combines comfort and descent handling in winter conditions and light snow. The tires performed better than expected and traction in heavy snow and ice was surprisingly well, I don't know how much the Subaru's fantastic AWD system helped but the traction control lights weren't working too hard. Tires were also very comfortable on bumps and potholes.

I love these tires. I purchased them just prior to the 2017/18 winter and now have 15,000 miles on them. This was literally the only A/T tire available for my vehicle. None the lessI did a lot of research before buying them. There is very little evidence of tread wear and the ride is more like a passenger tire than an A/T tire. We have a home at Lake Tahoe in California and wanted good tires for driving in snow. This winter in particular has been extreme and I am delighted with the performance of these tires. Combined with what I think is an excellent AWD system in the CR-V these tires have effortlessly taken me where I want to go. I would not hesitate to buy these tires again.

...When new, they were fantastic in the snow and nice and quiet on dry roads, at least when at proper pressure or 32 psi... As the miles started to pile up, they became somewhat less effective in the snow, but they were always good enough, even as they wore...

These tires were OEM on my RAV 4. When new, they were fantastic in the snow and nice and quiet on dry roads, at least when at proper pressure or 32 psi (the dealer pumps them up to 40+ psi every time the car is serviced; can't imagine why). As the miles started to pile up, they became somewhat less effective in the snow, but they were always good enough, even as they wore.

However, during the last 5 or 10,000 miles, the tires became much noisier, to the point where I will not buy the same tires again. I could probably get another 5,000 miles out of them, but I just don't see any reason to listen to all that noise. So, to sum up, I'd say these are very good tires for the first 50,000 miles or so, but I would not try to run them all the way to the end of their useful life.

...Traction is great and road noise minimal...

I've had these Geolandar G055's on my SUV now for almost 10K miles and see very little wear. They're down only 1/32 which should make them a long lasting tire. Traction is great and road noise minimal. In my opinion, Yokohama tires offer great quality and value. I've been buying Yoks for all my vehicles for 25 years now and they've never let me down.

...Never felt that the tires did not want to perform! I have never lost traction in the less bit, as I have in the past with other tires...

A set of 4 tires at 12000 miles. The tire is almost brand new looking, the tread is perfect all the way around. Tires are rotated on all the visits to the shop! Tire has been rotated three times and shows no wear.
I have been WOWed! by these tires. I have been off-road with the tires...Jeep Jamboree handled very well in the mud, hills, grass ...No problems!
This is an all-time 4x4 Jeep Grand, Summit. Never felt that the tires did not want to perform as they should! I have never lost traction in the less bit, as I have in the past with other tires. I am looking forward to some long comfortable miles. I have some Big Hopes for the tires!

This tire exceeded my expectations... couldn't ask for a better ride or wear...

This tire completely exceeded my expectations. Price, speed rating, & tread wear rating was the best match. I will admit I was worried when I first ordered them but couldn't ask for a better ride or wear. I have never aligned my vehicle, but did rotate regularly and the tires had even wear on them. I am waiting for my 2nd set to be delivered.

...They are quiet, wear well, comfortable ride...

Have these on my 2014 Sorento. Dealer specials. Now I know why.
They are quiet, wear well, comfortable ride. I believe I'm getting about 1 MPG better with them as well. Dry traction is fine, get them in any dirt/gravel and it goes downhill quickly. In rain you will become good friends with your ABS and turning corners is very scary. Fishtails are no fun. What to say about ice/snow? Life threatening comes to mind. They drive like metal rims all the way around. These tires are a great way to die. I'm taking it as a lesson learned and moving on to something else while I still can.
Unless you are driving a drift car, pass on these.

...The only PRO's are that tread life is wearing well and the performance in PERFECTLY dry conditions...

Worst tire I have ever purchased. I put these on my AWD Dodge Journey this past summer. The only PRO's are that tread life is wearing well and the performance in PERFECTLY dry conditions. DO NOT trust these in wet conditions. I have zero confidence in wet road cornering due to slippage and almost killed my family when some light snow came down before I was able to take them off and put my winter tires on. The tires did not provide any grip. I took them off my summer rims and will be sadly spending another $1000 to purchase safe all season tires. In all the vehicles I have owned and tires I have changed over the years, these are by far my worst decision, especially given the high cost of this tire; I really expected more. I am so disappointed with Yokohama. STAY AWAY FROM THESE.

I put these tires on at the end of March, and it is not the end of August. I have put 8200 miles on them, and I still have 10/32 of tread left on all 4 tires...

I have had this tire on my vehicle for about 8200 miles. I have driven in wet--flooding conditions as well as dry conditions, and I have had no problems. I have driven in wet grass--almost muddy, and I have not had a problem. I have not driven in snow yet, but that will be coming soon. I put these tires on at the end of March, and it is not the end of August. I have put 8200 miles on them, and I still have 10/32 of tread left on all 4 tires. My only complaint is that one of the steel belts moved so my car is now pulling to that side, but I believe there is a warranty for this because it is a malfunction with the tire. Overall, I highly recommend these thus far, and I will update when snowy conditions are here.
